Long overdue 1-star review
Long overdue 1-star review. I bought a brand new aprilia tuono v4 factory in 2022 from these, after putting my deposit down it was 10 weeks until I got my new bike, 10 weeks and not 1 single phone call from them to update me with west was happening, I think I phoned them twice in this period to try and find out when it would be in. On the 2nd call, I was told he was just about to call me as it was now in. They are prepping it, and I can collect it the next day. Great news, so I decided to have the Thursday off work to collect it and have a bit of fun. Thursday afternoon, I'd not heard anything, so I'd have a call to be told they're having problems installing the race map, and it's not ready. Fair enough, I'll have Friday off as well then. Eventually, on the Friday, it was ready to pick up, awesome. The bike looked amazing, but I was sort of rushed out of the shop they didn't even show me around the bike, but I've finally got my bike, so I didn't care too much. 600 miles down the line booked in for the first service, took it down, and collected later that day and off I went. Then I noticed the bike water temp was 115 degrees whilst at a railway crossing, so I called msc, who told me its a common thing with the v4s and that the coolant aprilia use is not the best, so it gets booked in under warranty for a while I wait appointment as it's not a big job. I take the bike in and get told to pick it up in 4 hours time, I told him I booked it in as a while you wait appointment to which he relied well you can wait if you want but it'll be 4 hours, so I annoyingly book a uber, get home and I'm home 30mins and my phone rings to say it's ready AND THAT THEY'RE CLOSING EARLY AT 12 BECAUSE THE QUEEN HAS DIED. I was fuming, I got a taxi back to msc which in total cost me around £45 then the bell behind the service counter charged me for the coolant, so I'm fuming even more at this point but keep my cool and decide I'm done with this place. I've since been told by another aprilia dealer that they shouldn't have charged me for the coolant at all. It's a job to be done under warranty.
Now, this week, my asv brake lever installed by msc as an extra is flapping around in the wind, so I take to my new garage, which is great btw. We're all looking at the lever a bit confused, so do a bit of investigating to find the part number doesn't match and is not the correct lever for my bike, so whatever they had bodged inbetween the lever and mastercylinder to get the bike out the door has fell out or broken! What is wrong with you people! It's a front brake lever! probably the most important thing on a bike! and you're cutting corners to save a few quid! Shame on you all!
So if anyone is looking for a bike I'd avoid this place like the plague!
