SECOND UPDATE 4-30-25: 2ND Unit Arrives Crushed BEFORE being Packaged: Great Looking Grill, but Broke During First Use

2ND UPDATE: (stay tuned, I will update again): Replacement arrived. CRUSHED on one side. UPS box is perfect, not one dent or mark of any kind. THE UNIT WAS PACKAGED ALREADY CRUSHED/DENTED! They don't answer their phone BTW, not a big surprise. 1stUpdate: Went to two stars since I rec'd return lable finally.
STILL, have asked "what next?" No answer. No idea when I get a working grill that will cook more than half a steak. Looked nice out of the box, no damage...all was well...until I used it the first time. Watched all the videos, super easy setup, good videos. However; The raising mechanism for the grate seemed a bit floppy but what do I know? I put the steak on it, and when I went to raise it, POP, and then only the left side goes up and the right side stays put. The grate was crooked out of the box, per my wife...guess I should have listened.

I ussualy do not make reviews on…

I ussualy do not make reviews on products i buy but I was so dissapinted that had to. I have two Otto grills made in Germany. I decided to change and use a USA made grill to support the USA. Schwank does not cook as good. if you try to just brown (crisp out side) the meat an leave it rear inside is impossible. to make it crisp it will also cook inside

The cabinet is bad but the grill is good

The grill is good, but assembling the cabinet was unexpectedly difficult. It took four hours, and many of the parts were damaged. The instructions are poorly written. I will return the cabinet for a full refund, but now I am required to disassemble, box and ship the cabinet back. I am facing another 2 or 3 hours of wasted time. Not happy.

Unit was received with a dented back

Unit was received with a dented back. I was not able to get the drawer in due to the dent. There was not visible damage to the box so the unit was packed dented. I'm awaiting response as to what will be done to rectify.

I had to wait/They made it RIGHT!

I had to wait longer than usual. Even that isn’t a complaint. They made it right and threw in an apron for free. When I finally did get my grill…all I can say is WOW!!! This thing is very well constructed from heavy enough gauge stainless steel….that it should hold up, pretty much forever! The cooking performance matches the build quality too! This thing literally makes steaks as good as Del Frisco does!

I never received the grill and they didn’t know when they would be able to ship it to me

I ordered the grill waited over a month and it still had not shipped yet with no notice on how long it was going to be before I could get the grill so I canceled, never had a chance to even experience it.

Disappointed

Purchased a grill about a week before Xmas. Was never informed about a back order and about a month later, was told due to a rush they could not provide me a timeline when it would be in stock. Had to cancel my order

Time until shipped

It was easy to order of course. I think some communication about how long it is expected to take for shipping. It's acceptable to wait, but only if a transparent reason exists. Maybe even a nice email update assuring you are on it.
