When set up correctly, you will not miss trades.
I have been trading with Scanz for several months now. I have used many free and paid for platforms and to date, Scanz is far superior to those which I have personally used. The information is accurate and quick. The ability to fine tune the scans down to the second or penny, are incredible! I absolutely do not miss movements with stocks. Customer service is not perfect but far better than most. On many occasions I have submitted recommendations and those were implemented into the platform and many more are in the pipeline. However, the reason for only 4 stars is they are still working out some kinks with the most recent app version. I feel confident that this will become a 5 star review in the future. If you are looking to enter and exit trades where micro seconds count, this is the platform for you.

No one replies to your emails, no tel contact!!!
I have been trying to contact scanz via their emails at help at scanz.com and billing at scanz.com as I am for some reason my pswd/email doesnt work, and I want to change the email because it was corrupted. Yet, no one replies to my numerous emails...no one is there..no tel # to call, this is very concerning. No idea how to contact them, very frustrating and we need a tel # contact, this is ridiculous. I pay enough money monthly and yet completely unable to contact company or they refuse to reply. Get a telephone number..and call me and check your emails!!!!

Hi Blair, sorry to hear about this experience. We kept that grandfathered pricing for you as long as you were subscribed so you did not receive price increases over time. However, if a payment fails or if you cancel and return, it reverts to the regular pricing. This is a normal process for subscription products (especially with the Stripe payment processor settings), but we understand this might have been a surprise increase when you returned. If you want to discuss further, please contact us via help@scanz.com. Thanks for being with us over time and I hope you can return again. As you are probably aware, we recently released our Next Gen web-based scanner to internal users. We’ve had some amazing feedback, so we hope you can experience it as well.
Make sure to cancel, not pause
Decent scanner, not much that I can't do in TOS. Don't be talked into pausing a membership because you will get no notification that it's renewing and if you've moved on you'll find you've been getting billed and they have a zero refund policy.

Glenn, thanks so much for using Scanz and we appreciate you leaving us a review too. Let me address the items you have raised.
TOS is a good tool too, no doubt - however we specifically cater to career traders. They might not change tools or strategies, but they do switch brokers from time to time as lower fees come into play or better providers launch. You will already be aware, but TOS locks you into a single broker (as they are owned by Charles Schwab) and they essentially cover the cost to buy that lock-in for their own product. We are broker agnostic, so it’s a bit different. We have traders using CS, IBKR, TD, Robinhood, e-trade, Webull, TS and many others. Hope that helps to provide some perspective on why CS offer a free tool in exchange for loyalty exclusively to them.
Regarding the free pause we offer, this is something you opt-in for yourself. We don’t actually talk to anyone about it, everything is under your control through your account. As you are still actively subscribed, you would not get a “renewal” type email because it’s not a renewal of the product. We offer the free pause feature because some of our traders like to take breaks and come back. It helps them to reduce cost over time or go on vacay etc. If you are actively subscribed and have product access, we don’t offer refunds but we can certainly help to make sure that you are fully unsubscribed and won’t get billed further.
Additionally, we do send an email to our customers every single time they get billed. Even if you had forgotten about the pause that you requested, you would still be receiving communications every cycle.
No doubt you already have our help email, but please use it anytime if more assistance is needed - help@scanz.com.

Regarding the inaccurate data, we are aware of the float issue and I’ll provided a detailed response below for you. However, we are not aware of any of the other data issues and do not have any other customers experiencing this. It’s likely it’s just your account. Could you please contact us internally at help@scanz.com so we can take a detailed look and correct it for you?
Float details:
I understand your concern about the discrepancy between the float figures reported by different sources.
Float refers to the number of shares available for trading by the public. This figure can differ between data providers due to variations in how they calculate and report it. Specifically, float is determined by subtracting the shares held by insiders, large institutional investors, and any restricted shares from the total shares outstanding.
Different providers may have access to varying data on insider holdings and restricted shares, leading to differences in the reported float. For example, while one provider might report a float based strictly on publicly traded shares, another might include additional shares they consider available for trading, resulting in a higher figure. Our data provider uses a methodology that can sometimes result in a different float number compared to other sources.
We continuously strive to provide accurate and reliable data, and we appreciate your understanding of the nuances involved in these calculations.
We already have it on our roadmap to look into this particular issue after the next major update.

The news trading feature is absolutely incredible!
The news trading feature is absolutely incredible. Not only is it speedy, but the quality of the news, along with the specific filtering you can do, is crucial. Not to mention, my favorite part is how you can filter for certain words, which lets me find all the best news, resulting in easily 20% - 60% jumps in stock price in just a minute. The only thing I would suggest adding is a way to filter out certain words, so you don't get certain types of news, for example, I could filter out "loss" so I get less negative news.

Kyle thank you so much for leaving this detailed review. It’s awesome that you are news filtering features so well. We do in fact already provide that feature. To use an anti-keyword search, simply add a hyphen (-) directly before the word you want to filter out. For example, “merger” will include results with the word “merger” in them. “-merger” will remove anything with “merger”. Hope this helps!

Trading news is perfect with Scanz.
It takes an average of 28 seconds to get into a stock when the news hits with this scanner and the scan i use. Way before the actual moves start and the crowd starts buying the stock.
The only scanner on the market that is providing such a feature.
Couldn`t imagine a trading career without Scanz. Thanks and i hope to keep using this scanner for decades to come.

Unauthorized Storage of Credit Card Details Without Consent
Back in October 2024, I tried Scanz but decided not to continue using the service. As we start 2025, I decided to give it another try. However, when attempting to sign up again, I received a message indicating that my credit card had already been used.
This suggests that Scanz retained my credit card details without my consent, which is a clear violation of privacy and payment data regulations. As a result, I have filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
I request an immediate investigation into this matter and the deletion of any payment information stored in your system without authorization

At Scanz, privacy and data security are top priorities. We want to reassure you that Scanz does not store or process any credit card information directly. Instead, all payments are securely managed by Stripe, a leading PCI-compliant payment processor. All sections on our website that require you to enter credit card details are actually Stripe components embedded into our page, which means that this sensitive data never “touches” or goes through our system in any way. Our system receives only a tokenized ID for managing the subscription(s), which is standard practice in the industry to ensure that all sensitive data remains secure and fully compliant with relevant regulations.
The message you encountered is a safeguard to prevent duplicate subscriptions by identifying when a payment method is already associated with an existing account. This process helps maintain account integrity and avoid confusion.

Way too overpirced for what it offers
This is from the perspective of a pennystock trader. It`s ridiculously expensive for what it offers. The charting is intuitive but very clunky, which makes it okay but certainly not great. There is no possibility of backtesting at all. News are up to date and the scanners are good though. While overall it`s not a bad charting software, you can have all of this for around $20. otcmarkets will give you the same news for free and tradingview will give you way better charting and backtesting for roughly the afformentioned $20. What scanz offers is basically just being able to have everything in one place and to create and save layouts (as most brokers offer lvl 2 and time&sales for free). If you`re a new trader I would most definetly go with a cheaper option, but if you don`t care about money it`s a nice quality of life option, although it still feels like getting robbed in broad daylight.
