I placed an order on April 8th, it said the item was in stock and would be dispatched within 1 day. By the 17th nothing had arrived so sent another email, no reply by 23rd so sent another email. I decided to check trust pilot and Instagram comments and that’s where I saw a lot of people having the same experience as me. Sent another email reaming them out (lol) then decided to try their online chat like someone else on trustpilot had done. It was a chat bot at first but got a human in the end, and they actually did sort it for me - said my emails hadn’t been coming through as they’d changed their email system (likely an excuse as others on here have said they said the same), but they did actually say the handles would be arriving in stock the following day and they posted them next day. Received the item on the 28th, and they’re as expected, nice pieces.
I think the top and bottom is, that while the company isn’t a scam company, they’re just drop shipping from another country, and even when the website says it’s in stock it’s not. The only way to get through to them is to use the chatbot. Do with this information what you will!

I was searching for kitchen handles when
I found Scandi Handles who had just what I was after, at a great price. Before I placed an order I did a quick Trustpilot check and was a bit worried about reliability. Rather than walk away I did a quick online chat on their website and they explained they’d had a few issues recently but reassured me that the handles would be with me quickly. I decided to take a punt and am glad I did. The handles arrived today (within two weeks of ordering) and whilst I haven’t attached them yet, seem great quality.

I think Trustpilot is super useful, but sometimes it pays to dig a bit deeper. Of course they customer service rep could’ve been telling me what I wanted to hear, but I went with my gut feeling and that told me they’d do their best to deliver and they did!

Ordered a hook 2-3 weeks ago, no idea if it’s coming, no reply to my email requesting an update, phone number just clicks to voicemail.

Ordered handles .. 3 weeks later no sign/no explanation. Ignored emails. Phone goes to VM. Avoid at all cost unless you want to be ripped off. Furious. @scandihandles I want an immediate refund

This has been a very variable experience. Ordered a sample handle end of Jan which was sent swiftly. Queried the colour and was sent a few more handles free of charge to ensure correct colour match. Customer service (vis chat bot) was efficient and friendly. Beautiful handles so ordered over £300 worth. supposedly a 4-7 day wait. Had multiple excuses as to why the handles didn't arrive - supplier doing a stock take, warehouse team too busy, illness and half term and lastly the supplier had not sent enough. Got fed up with chasing and all the excuses so asked for my money back and raised a dispute through my credit card company. Out of the blue yesterday and almost 6 weeks after I ordered, I receive a notification that my handles were being sent. They arrived today and they are excellent quality and exactly what I ordered.

So, as per the review below, great products but hugely frustrating wait with poor communication. I still don't know whether any of the excuses were true, but as a company you can't promise delivery within 4-7 days and then take 6 weeks. You also need to keep customers informed, not wait for the customer to chase and chase. I would definitely order these handles again, but sadly I wouldn't do so through this company.

More 3 stars than 4 but thought I’d give them a break. It took 30 days from click to delivery. Communication was irregular and the first message took so long I thought it was a scam and opened a dispute with Amex. It’s not a scam. They mean well but comms are abysmal. Handles? (Forgot that’s the purpose of this) they look wonderful. Solid, well sprayed, consistent. Great product - but was an effort to get them. They were sent overnight DHL - no expense spared. As I said, they mean well and make every effort. If they improved comms, Set accurate delivery schedules, then they’d get 5 stars for the products . If you don’t mind the wait - great products. Good luck.

This company is a scam. Purchased items and they were never sent and no response via email or phone call

I should have checked the Trustpilot reviews before ordering. Ordered on 23rd February, got a confirmation email but then received nothing following this. Have tried to call the number on their website but no answer. Have tried to get an update on my order using the web chat, but they say the item has not been sent to them, but do not trust what they are saying. Have now requested to cancel and get a refund.

An order for 16 cupboard knobs was accepted a month ago. 4 were delivered. Scandi Handles have claimed several times to be getting the other 12 ready to send but never send them. I should have read the Trustpilot reviews before ordering. Avoid this company.

I ordered the handles and like many others, had little follow up after the purchase and over a week went without me receiving the delivery info. I then started to get worried and found those reviews so I contacted my bank to open a dispute being sure the website was a scam. I was wrong, the customer service reached out to me fairly quickly after contacting them and explain to me why there was delay and how disputes are very badly damaging their business which is a new business in the UK. Even though they canceled my order upon my request they sent me the handles free of charge as a gesture and I have now received them within the delay they told me and they're absolutely beautiful. The quality is amazing, very heavy with some gorgeous details. My advice would be to email them before making the decision of contacting your bank as they might surprise you :)

I placed an order a month ago which has not been fulfilled. I emailed the company just before Christmas and got a reply saying they were waiting for stock to come in from overseas. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as it was Christmas. I stupidly added some more items to my order using a free shipping code they gave me. I've been emailing and tried phoning in the last week. The phone number went through to a non-UK dial tone the first time, and voicemail the second time. I've not received a reply to my emails. I have since found these reviews and initiated a claim via my bank who also cancelled my bank card as a precaution. Like other reviewers I checked the records on companies house. The website looked fairly legitimate because it had a postal address. Avoid this company as it appears to be a scam.

Same story for me. I wish I had read the reviews here first but I guess I fell for the slick website... However, I DID eventually manage to get hold of Scandi Handles "support" via the website chat (after my emails and phone calls had gone unanswered.)

It seems they have programmed a fairly sophisticated AI chatbot to respond to my questions, making excuses for the phones being down, complaining of warehouse delays, and assuring me my order would arrive the following week.

Quite a remarkable experience really (still hard to tell if I was gaslit by a chatbot or a real person). Since that communication there has been no update, no delivery, and no further contact. I have notified my bank of fraud and am posting here in the hope it will prevent others from being scammed.

I am so annoyed I did not read these reviews before ordering. I have had the same problem as the other reviewers. I ordered handles which never arrived. I have had absolutely no response to any of my communications. This is fraudulent to take peoples money with no intention of fulfilling the order, I will be reporting them. I just want my money back but I expect that has gone for good

Update 20/11/24 - so after notifying my bank and being issued a chargeback (refund of my money) over a week later I receive an email from Scandi who are now aware of the chargeback from my bank and claiming my order is arriving that day!, (quelle surprise) and that they can get the handles to me by Friday. They also stated I would have been aware of the back order from all of the emails I received. (I received none) So now they know they are not getting my money they are trying it on with this load of nonsense. Suffice to say I told them to cancel the ‘order’ as I had received no such communications from them and had gone ahead and ordered handles from another (more reputable) source. I have also reported them to Action Fraud, and the original supplier of the handles, as I believe this website and company to be a total scam

Same story as the other reviews. I ordered some handles and never arrived. They said it was delayed and then stop communications. Do not buy from them!

I placed an order several weeks ago which didn't arrive. On chasing I was told that the products I ordered had a delay and I would receive them the following week, which I did not. The website has always shown these products as available to order so this was deliberately misleading.

On searching Scandi Handles on companies house I found it was dissolved last year. I found out that 'Residence Store' is now the company trading as Scandi Handles, which itself has terrible reviews, and on companies house two of the directors have recently resigned.

I have a strong suspicion that this company is in financial difficulties and likely taking orders in a hope the business can continue operating, with no assurance on whether orders will be fulfilled.
