My daughter is year 8 and started with SassyMac in September last year. They are outstanding in my opinion and my daughter is thriving, I would like to share my reasons for this. My daughter struggled in mainstream school throughout year 7 and had some gaps in her education due to not understanding a subject fully before they moved on to another. After lots of meetings and promises of support which was never delivered we decided as a family to home educate due to her needs, having dyslexia and losing all her confidence which had a negative impact on her mental health.

My daughter was so nervous when she first begun lessons with SassyMac Schooling and would often shy away from saying hi within the online class. However since starting last year she has already closed gaps in her learning and understands them. She is able to ask questions in front of her online class peers and she is now doing the year 9 work in English as it was felt she was able to move up. My daughter explained that the teachers will recap on what they had done from the previous day which she feels is a huge help for her due to her struggle with memory. My daughter also wanted me to highlight that she feels understood, welcomed and really happy with both teachers and peers within the online classes.

As a parent I feel that my daughters learning style is fully understood and supported. This time last year I witnessed my daughter struggling, stressed, feeling stupid, getting frustrated, loss of confidence and starting to turn almost inward . Now I don't see any of this but a happy, confident 12 year old girl who is thriving, has control of her learning and understands that she is not stupid she just has a different learning style and that this is ok. I was a skeptic parent when I first came across SassyMac as I had also found myself in a similar situation with my son back in 2021 and had tried so many different learning companies yet none of them seemed to fit for him or understand his learning style. I wished that SassyMacSchooling was around when I first began home ed in 2021 however I am so grateful I took the leap and trusted them as my daughter is now a happy learner 😊 xxx

When we made the decision to home-school our children, we were unsure where to start, but after lots of research we found SassyMacs, and they have made the transition very easy. My children love the online lessons, but also we love the flexibility of being able to access the recorded lesson if we are unable to attend the live for any reason. Liz has been extremely helpful from the very beginning and my children are learning so much.

My daughter has recently started home education after being badly let down in the school system. Elizabeth and Ben have been fantastic and enabled my girl to enjoy learning again! She especially loves her English lessons and actually looks forward to logging on each morning. They have created a real community in their classes and are always happy to help with any questions or issues. So glad we found them when we did. I look forward to SassyMac supporting my daughter all the way up to her GCSEs.

My daughters not attended school for 2 years and she faced a lot of struggles, she’s socially anxious and behind academically.
I happened to stumble across sassymac and it’s been the best decision we’ve made for Kaitlyn! She’s engaging great in classes and she’s settled in perfectly. Maths was particularly hard for her but Ben the maths teacher has really brought her out her shell and she’s enjoying maths more then ever!
She loves being creative so adores writing in English. It’s just such a relaxed and calming atmosphere the children want to learn. Such a great price too! I cannot wait to see how much Kaitlyn can achieve with the help of sassymac! Thank you

SassyMac Schooling came to help me at a time when I needed to Home Educate my 2 boys but was unable to give it my all, thanks to other life commitments. I am a qualified college lecturer myself and I am honestly very impressed with the lessons that I have seen. They are informative, engaging and most importantly, fun. Even I have learnt some things! My boys loved their lessons and despite no longer Home Educating, we will continue with SassyMac and their tutoring service. Liz and Ben, I can never thank you enough. I would whole heartedly recommend their service.

My 13 year old has been with SassyMac homeschooling for only about 1 week, but enough to know that she is really benefitting and enjoying it

There are so many educational platforms out there and it can get overwhelming. I’d eliminated it down to 2 and once I’d don’t my final pros and cons list, this one came out on top

I love that it’s a small family run business cos you really get that personal touch and the classes are small enough for the kids to activately take part. That was impt for my daughter, to feel she was in a classroom as opposed to sat in front of what could just be a YouTube video, like many of the platforms out there.

My daughter has never liked maths and after just 2 lessons she said ‘Mama, maths is easy’. (Though this could have simply been because they were studying an easy topic!!)

The maths and English tutors really are fantastic and I want to give them a big warm thank you

I just wish the lessons were longer than 45 mins and that they had more subjects available

I feel more content and confident that we’ve made the right decision to home education

I have just started English and Maths tuition for my two boys and I have to say I'm very impressed by both Liz and Ben. I've been looking for a while for online tuition and just couldn't settle on anyone until i accidently came across SassyMac and spoke to Liz. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. Its excellent to know both Ben and Liz are fully qualified UK teachers who have decided to start teaching online full time. Both are excellent teachers keeping the boys engaged. They are both very kind and helpful at any time if i need to contact them. All at such an affordable price.

Qualified, experienced teachers who are really friendly and excellent communicators. Our 6 homeschooled children use this service. They enjoy their lessons and enjoy the planned structure each lesson brings. Small classes and easy for them to ask questions throughout each lesson. All for an amazing price!

Came across Sassymac from one of the home Ed groups. At first I thought its one of the usual types of tutoring sessions where I will have to force my children to sit through and then eventually make them leave as they wont be able to grasp the online learning part of it. However my son and daughter absolutely love and look forward to their English lessons with Liz! She knows how to keep the children engaged throughout the lesson. They also do maths with Ben and he is able to challenge the children, however is constantly assuring the children to ask for help so that he can make sure theyre all understanding the maths problems. Highly recommend. Liz is so easy to contact and answered my 100 hundred questions. I could go on forever with lots of good points, however you can see for yourself how good they are! Thank you so much Liz and Ben.

My daughter has just started learning with sassymac. I was a little apprehensive how she'd take to learning via zoom but she has really enjoyed her experience so far, expressing disappointment on days when it's not on.
Liz and Ben have been very welcoming and inclusive. It's given us a great platform for continuing the topics in conversations throughout the day.
On days when we have a clash with other group we attend and the live lessons, Sassymac record their lessons so we can play it later on and catch up..

So far so good. And really looking forward to seeing where it takes her. X

Liz is a teacher who I have worked alongside for many years, she is a teacher who demonstrates excellence, she is able to identify who mastered today’s learning and who needs more support tomorrow.

Liz holds all her students to a high standard; it’s clear she believes that everyone can grow in her classroom beit face:face or virtually. She has an amazing way of breaking things down so that they are understandable, and always keeping it light and fun.

Liz has been a breath of fresh air for my KS1/2/3/4 children. She taught them for a month and we were so sad to see her leave at her previous post that we had to go on a hunt to find her which we thankfully did!!

She is qualified, knowledgable, passionate, engaging and so sincere in what she does. Her experience and love for teaching really comes across in the lessons in such an effortless way.

I’m so pleased to see her offering a full time homeschooling timetable as well as an evening tutoring timetable at reasonable and affordable prices to cater for every circumstance. I can’t recommend her enough!

Finally found a homeschool schedule with qualified teachers! I’ve seen so many ads but Ben and Liz were recommended by a friend and after talking to Liz over the phone I feel so much better. They have been teaching in classrooms for years and now the uncertainty I’ve been feeling as a home educator has gone because I know the core subjects are completely covered. And for such a good price! Qualified teachers for £5 per lesson or less! Bargain! Highly recommended!

I had signed up with SassyMac for the free trial in English and I have to say, I am really impressed. Elizabeth was fantastic and a complete natural; you can tell she is a teacher who knows what she is doing. Finding tuition for my daughter has been a minefield! I was recommended SassyMac through homeEd groups so I took a chance and will be continuing in September.
