If I could give these 0 I would, what an absolutely poor company. Missed a finance payment due to covid hitting and customers cancelling all my work. Tried to explain this to them and they couldn’t care less! Avoid
Disgraceful company and Terrible Customer Service
Very disorganised and incompetent company. Do not use this as your finance company. Stay very far away from them. They have negatively impacted my credit score wrongfully for 3 months in a row now. Staff don't have a clue what they're doing, and phone line wait times are abysmal. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Find a different finance company for your car and do not use Santander Consumer Finance.

Costing £3300 to take to court as they have refused for 3 years to honour the legislation in place to protect customers from shady sellers and the ombudsman is less than useless
They have ignored a legal notice served in November 2021 despite stopping sending threatening letters weekly which shows they have acknowledged the accusations against them
They have held false information on my credit profile for the entire time stopping me being able to secure loans both business and personal meaning I’ve had to use credit cards with 22% interest rates for purchases to grow my business in the mean time suffering a 17%+ loss due to the high interest compared to loans during a pandemic and economic crash
Tuppence to them life changing for me!

Terrible Website and Customer Service
The website is terrible and the 'self-service' options don't work...also, nobody answers the phone. Do not use this company.

Terrible customer service ..tried calling twice today first call was took 40 mins to answer then was promised they would send the finance agreement over by email. Nothings happened, called again waited 1 hour 40 on hold and then cut off. Then got hold of them online and customer service rep was just plain rude
WAIT TIME SO LONG!
If I could leave a 0 star I would. Wasted OVER 1 hour on hold for them to not even have staff competent to deal with my issue or suggest someone to help. USELESS. AVOID!!!!

3 hours waiting throughout the day, for them to hang up! livid.
Cut off after 45 minutes!
On hold for over 45 minutes only to be cut off at 5pm as their offices close. I don't know why they bother putting customers in a queue if they aren't going to answer the call. If the company want staff to leave at closing then close the phone lines down earlier and don't have customers waiting in a queue to nowhere!
I contacted Santander Fraud team - great service
I contacted Santander Fraud team at 7.40am on Saturday morning as I saw what I thought was a 'strange' charge on mt debit card. They immediately put a hold on my card in case I had been compromised, ordered a new card (same pin - we agreed on this) and gave me a ref number. However later on I found the receipt and rang them again at 8.30, they could not stop my card being on hold but they reinstated the charge, they were fabulous and very patient. Obviously my mistake. Then they rang me to ensure that I knew what was going on. Brilliant service.
Car finance sly thieves
Well... so I did a deal with a car dealer via email, I was then informed the finance was sorted and to fill in the e document in readiness for collecting the vehicle. By santander and the dealer. I did this, then set off the next morning, while in contact with said dealer to collect the car. This is a 3 hour round trip at least. When I arrived I was told " The car isn't here, its somewhere else, and you can't see it ". It was bank holiday weekend, I had to come home and spend Sunday and Monday in bits worrying because I couldn't get hold of santander until the Tuesday. It was severe anxiety for two days as you can imagine. No car, and a huge loan. When I managed to contact santander on the Tuesday, I was told Basically they'd already given the dealer the money, I have no words to describe how I felt, I'd been tricked by santander and the dealer. Santander said they'd investigate as a matter of urgency and get straight back to me. That was over 3 weeks ago, and I've heard nothing. The car did materialise in the meantime, even though I wasn't happy with it, I was stuck with it and a £15000 loan. Lying cheating scum bags santander !
To make it worse, I have my bank accounts with them.

Open another. Been I. To branch to be told it will take 6 weeks for me to see somebody. So already having these accounts I thought it would be pretty easy to open online. Two weeks on. Still not happening. Saturday was on the phone for two hrs. Before e giving up last week two phone call each 30 mins plus to be cut off randomly. Absolutely shocking customer service.

Scammers. Will tell you that they can not give you a figure for early settlement, and will sneakily convince you it will not be much interest!
Their doors should be shut down by the financial authorities.

Day two of trying to recover my account. Been on phone for one hour, got cut off, Went to the branch for help, they have to go through the same rigmarole ie phone customer services and wait for someone to answer. After 3/4 of an hour they did and lifted the block. A total of 5 and 1/2 hours waiting on the phone. Not happy. Changing banks today

I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company in my life. I am owed a refund that I’ve had to chase multiple times for after being promised it will be deducted off my next bill. They are now ignoring my emails and still no sign of a refund!!
