We joined a 1 week sailing/free diving trip in the Cyclades. I had some previous experience on a boat but 0 free driving experience but it was a fantastic combined experience.

Luca was our skipper for the trip and he organized everything perfectly. He coordinated the boat rental and all the details. He gave us an intro into what was needed and expected of us on the trip and managed pretty much everything else. He was prepared and planned the route, including adjusting the itinerary when the meltemi winds didn’t want to slow down. He found us great spots to go diving and despite the more challenging conditions. On top, he’s a lovely guy, easy to get along with, have fun chats, generally someone you enjoy spending a week on a boat with. He did a fantastic job of getting us around, keeping us safe and providing us with a great experience.

Carlos was our free diving instructor, as it was my first time, I didn’t quite know what to expect but Carlos provided a great introduction to free diving. He provided a small intro presentation on the sport and safety and led stretching sessions before each dive. He was very attentive and made me feel safe in the water while providing advice to continue to challenge myself but adapting it to my level. It was a fantastic introduction and I really enjoyed all the dives - especially a small cave dive where he also led the way and made me feel safe. He’s super easy going, chatty and shared great stories of his own experience and from the sport.

I had an amazing week, exploring beautiful places, discovering new depths (literally) and relaxing and finding some time to disconnect. Luca and Carlos are a great team, I had a really great trip and I’m looking forward to the next one.

I’ve always dreamed of sailing a small sailboat across my beloved Mediterranean. This year, I made that dream come true by taking part in the first adventure organized by Luca (skipper) and Carlos (freediving instructor), who brought these two worlds together with a group of friends they knew—though we didn’t know each other. The result was a week where I enjoyed every second. Even when the wind made sailing challenging, I felt safe gliding over the waves. Luca knew exactly what to do, how to make living on board comfortable for everyone, he chose always the best spots for freediving and to spend the night based on the weather conditions, and was happy to teach about sailing to those of us who were interested, even if we knew nothing. The adventure ended with me wanting more: more sailing, more freediving, more sea.

Ich hatte das Angebot von Luca & Rana auf Facebook entdeckt: eine Woche Segeln & Freediven in Griechenland. Normalerweise buche ich keine Gruppenreisen, aber ihr Angebot hat mich sofort angesprochen. Und ich bin so froh, dass ich sie gebucht habe!

Es war keine 0815 Reise. Luca ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und hat uns zu den schönsten Tauchplätzen gebracht.

Dabei fing unsere Woche holprig an. Das erste Schiff war von Ungeziefern befallen. Luca hat alle Hebel in Bewegung gesetzt um ein neues Schiff zu bekommen. Was für ein Upgrade!!!

Ein souveräner Skipper - ich freue mich schon auf eine nächste Reise!

Wir waren 7 Freediver und 2 Freedive Instructor. Es hat ein wenig gedauert bis wir unseren Rhythmus gefunden haben, aber dann lief es umso besser! Rana hat einen guten Blick und konnte sehr gute Tipps geben.

Went on a freediving camp with Saltline. I had the most incredible experience sailing through some islands in Greece. Luca is such an amazing human being he is paying attention to everything, super kind, super easygoing, has the funniest stories. I was not into it but he would even teach you sailing.
It’s an absolute must to do a trip like this. Had the best time ever

I jumped into this adventure after meeting Carlos at a freediving training session in Colombia. While chatting, he told me he’d be in Greece at the end of the summer and invited me to join a week-long freediving camp on a catamaran in the Cyclades. Sometimes it’s that simple: life drops little gifts along your way, and you just have to be ready to welcome them.

Basically, I locked myself on a catamaran for a week with seven strangers from all over the world, sailing to a different dive site around the Cyclades every day and training along the way. One of the best decisions of my life. Magic happens when you meet the right people, all united by the same passion and the same way of living. It’s all about how you vibe with the world, and somehow, you attract the same vibes. We started out as eight strangers and ended up as a family. We shared every moment, every challenge, every joy, every need.

Luca welcomes you aboard as a true host. He knows every centimeter of the boat that will be your home for seven days. Before setting sail, he explains everything: route, wind, safety rules, how days are structured, and how to live together in such a small space without any trouble, simply making sure everyone feels good together. And if you want, he’ll explain and explain again every sailing manoeuvre, each rope, how and when to hoist the sails, when to take them down, how to anchor and how to moor - and he never gets tired of doing it.

Carlos guides you through every freediving session, from preparation to dive on the line. He’s incredibly attentive and precise. His unconditional love for his element is so genuine that it inevitably brings you a sense of peace. And in the end, even if your nose is blocked, you can’t equalize and get deeper than four metres, your training session still feels rewarding.

Honestly, every word that comes to mind to describe this experience feels somehow close to a dream - but luckily, it was real! We spent a week above and below the ocean, chasing the wind, flowing with the waves, following the tide, breathing, holding our breath, pulling, coiling, tying ropes, drying wetsuits, stretching and relaxing, fighting off colds together, cooking, cleaning, laughing, watching sunset and sunrise every day.

I could spend my entire life this way. This is not just a holiday.It's a whole experience built around sharing a love and passion for the ocean. I just feel so grateful.
Of course, 100% recommended - 200% would do it again!
