Our experience of Sage Housing has been excellent. Sean has consistently demonstrated professionalism, openness and honesty. His fair and impartial approach is greatly appreciated, and we value his support.

I've been here 4 years and I've just been taken over from sage to sparrow. Sage have left and are now trying to charge us an extra £450 for service charge under charged from 2024-2025 when they done absolutely nothing. Had hell with sage for the last 4 years and this has topped it off absolutely scammers!... in response to the response.... an estimate I understand but been here for years and never owed £450 which was under Budgeted. If you see the responses why it's even worse... all down to incompetence. Can't wait to move money grabbing. P.s calculate £450x how many properties... under calculating over 10-20k is worrying......funny how when they get taken over we owe this too!

Honestly they have been absolutely amazing in helping me with my tenancy agreement issues. When I say they I mean Christine Giles (homes and communities officer) she went above and beyond and sorted my issues out within a day for something that would usually take a month. She was back and fourth updating me, even when it was early evening.. thorough and didn't stop til the issue was resolved. I really couldn't fault her and I wish more people put their heart and soul into their job like she clearly does. Honestly thank you!! I hope she gets the recognition that she definitely deserves.

Just had the annual subscription fee through from Sage Homes, its gone from £658 to £742! £84 per month more! When people are struggling around the country, Sage thinks it's a great idea to increase it by nearly 13%. I thought shared ownership was about making it affordable to get on the housing ladder....surely this, on top of the mortgage monthly fee makes it cheaper to actually buy your home with a normal mortgage rather than use companies like Sage, who rip their clients off. That along with the completely rip-off maintenance fees means, I will seriously start looking for a mortgage to pay it all off. Sage also over-estimate the value of the house, ours was independently valued at £20k less that Sage's valuation but they wouldn't budge on the price.

Handled the complaint perfectly. Was tackled within a couple of days (it was sent on a Sunday) and I have been updated by emails and phone calls. I feel happy and secure in the knowledge that Sage are doing all they can.

Update September 2025 - Review October 2024
Following a lengthy process of sorting out all the defects within my new build home.
I would still not recommend purchasing a new build from Sage Homes.

I would also like to give a review of their contactor H I S that Sage uses.(David Wilson Homes only fixed a handful of defects themselves)
I would review them as a 1 Star too, this would be down to the lengthy time it took to correctly fix a defect. Long delay in ordering parts and materials and bad workmanship.

Plus maybe a criminal act which will be passed onto the police since my last complaint wasn't upheld.

I have no further interest in them fixing any other issues under the warranty, I will go straight to the NHBC in the future.

While it's taken over a year amd multiple attempts to fix the defects, the issues I have regarding my last complaint has now been passed on to the police, which also includes my trading standards complaint

Christine Giles is a very friendly and approachable lady. She was able to answer my questions and concerns, and explained everything regarding my tenancy well.
I feel so lucky to live in a beautiful, safe home and have the security I have always dreamed of for my family.

Initially this company were extremely unhelpful in what was a very difficult and highly emotional situation. Officers I spoke with were unfriendly and incredibly judgemental and unhelpful until I was finally put in touch with Melanie Hart who finally helped me to achieve what was required. She was empathetic and did everything she could to try and resolve an immensely challenging situation, answering numerous queries with patience and clarity. She was a shining star in a company that otherwise clearly did not put its tenants at the forefront of what they do.

Kym Boyle was absolutely amazing! After not being listened to for a long time, Kym took over my case and got everything dealt with in a short matter of time! She listened to me and helped me and guided me through the process that was going on regarding my repairs. Over the moon with how caring and understanding Kym was! Fabulous employee of Sage!
