Asset management with a heart
Does every family have one person who knows all the account numbers to all the assets?! That is me. I am a British Citizen expat, married to an Egyptian Citizen, with a dual national son. We live in neither country and have assets across both as well as where we live. I had a book with the most important details in but this was clunky, not at all safe to travel with, and not safe in case of damage to our home. Plus we are often not in our home country. I was trying to find ways to ensure that my family would be well taken care of, and be able to find and quickly access all of our assets in all countries if anything were to happen to me - and safeherit popped up. It has been extremely easy to navigate (I am not super tech savvy!) and has relieved a burden that I didn’t realise was so big. Knowing that all my details are safe, and that as and when we change countries again all of our affairs are in order - it’s huge. I love the personalisation in the site too, the option to leave a message for my people when I’m gone means so much. While I’d love this to be a physical letter, and will still leave a letter to my husband and son, with life as it is as expats - different laws, ways of working - and the travel, chances of letters being lost is unfortunately higher. The platform has everything I need clinically for the asset management, but the heart of it, with these little messages, is what makes it even more valuable.
