Disappointed with Customer Service
Update: The customer service team reached out after I posted my review to apologize and offer a gift card for the trouble. The gesture was appreciated, as I know some other companies would not have cared enough about their customers to do anything. It doesn't totally make up for all the time and effort spent trying to sort out this issue, but it is nice to know they care. I have used their products for years, and know the things they make are of good quality regardless of issues with customer service. I sincerely hope not to encounter any other problems with Saalt in the future.
Original: I have been using Saalt products for years, and I have recommended them to anyone I know with a period many times. However, some ongoing issues with the website and customer service response have completely discouraged me from making future purchases or recommendations.
When trying to buy multiple pairs of the same product, the sale price listed for the specific size, color, and absorbency I was looking at was shown clearly and multiple times on the product listing page, but the sale price did not carry over to the shopping cart when attempting to purchase the items. I tried reloading the website, using a different browser, clearing my cart and adding the same items again, but every time I encountered the same issue. I immediately submitted a support request through the website's Contact Us form, hoping to get the issue resolved before the sale ended, but never received a response.
After several weeks of waiting for a response, I submitted another request through the Contact Us form as well as sending an email directly to the customer service email address, hoping I might still be able to complete my purchase with the sale price. I did receive a response to my email weeks later, but it completely dismissed my concerns and offered no actual solution. Despite trying multiple times to fix the problem, seeking assistance immediately after encountering the issue, and having multiple screenshots clearly showing the price discrepancy for the specific product, size, and color I was attempting to buy, no resolution was provided. The response entirely dismissed my concerns, stating that the item was back to full price by that time and recommended "keeping an eye out for our sale collection."
This was incredibly frustrating, as I decided to make my purchase at that time specifically because I had been watching the sale prices. I was unable to complete my order because of issues with their website, and the lack of support from customer service meant the sale was over by the time I received any response weeks later.
I will not be paying almost twice as much for the items without the sale price because of problems beyond my control. I have seen several other reviews referencing the poor customer service lately, and I am quite disappointed in how the quality has decreased over time. The products may be of good quality, but not worth the frustration and wasted time caused by the ordering and customer service issues.
