Warning!!

Don’t waste your money here.

They don’t keep what they promise!

They keep telling you the cymbals are on the way. They keep telling you they will make videos for you to choose the cymbals you want.

They keep promising they will send you a gift because you we’re waiting for so long!!

It’s all sweet talk! They never did what they promised! No videos, no gift, and finally I got some heavy (really bad cymbals) I didn’t ask for.

And this is the worst part!!
When the cymbals finally arrived after 10 weeks of waiting, They sent me the exact opposite of what I ordered!!?

I told them specifically to send the best thin and washy jazz cymbals They got!!! AndI got really heavy, thick, really bad sounding rock cymbal’s.
I ordered extra light weight!

I wrote them my frustrations, and then a long dialogue on email took place.
Here They treated me like a spoiled kid. Telling me my attitude and my frustration was unacceptable and bla bla bla.

Well, I’m 56. Been playing since I was 11. I’m from Berklee (professional performance Jazz drummer)
I was the drummer in Junior Senior (Move your feet) touring all over the world! I been playing on more than 400 albums, and I have made 4 price winning indie jazz albums in my own name!

And this shop told me that I don’t know how to handle a cymbal!

I thought This joke of a deal ended when I returned the cymbals! But no!
Now they told me I put marks and fingerprints on them and they charged 25% of the return!

I never played these cymbals. I only hold them in my hands to tap the finger sound, and then I put them back in the bags. They sounded really really bad. Not in tune, weight issues from bad hammering! Really really bad cymbals! In my opinion, they should never be sold to anyone.

Well they sent me pictures of the returned cymbals and yes, there were black marks on them! I don’t know were they came from! I did not make those marks!

I think the marks were caused by the cold whether! It’s freezing outside at the moment, and the cymbals were 2 weeks under transportation from Denmark to Budapest! (The cold can actually harm certain cymbals) I have seen it before.

But whatever! The really sad thing is that this shop is so determined to tell me and you, that they did everything by the book! And they did nothing wrong!

That’s not true.
And it all comes down to one thing!
If they had the made the videos as promised, this argument would never had happened. I would never have bought those cymbals, and most importend. My frustrations would never had happened!

And finally here comes another warning! If you order from outside the UK, you won’t get the money back that you paid in tax! Its 1/4 of the final amount you loose just there.
(This is a fact i Think customers deserves to know!)

So this adventure was very expensive for me, (I also had to pay for the return to Budapest.)

I actually find this hole deal completely ridiculous and i won’t recommend this drum shop to anyone!

And btw I don’t regret being angry! And I don’t regret the things I wrote. And I don’t care that they feel the need to publish that. They caused all the problems themselves.

I even apologized twice for my frustrations but they didn’t care! They asked for it!

It’s not correct I never received any kind of gift. And I did never got the videos as promised.

Videos that would had saved me from all this mess!

We are responding to this review to provide a complete factual account of the customer’s order, correspondence, and our actions. The review contains inaccuracies and omits key facts, all documented in our correspondence and photographic evidence.

Order and Delivery Timeline
The customer placed an order for Zyn in October 2025. At the time, we informed him these items were temporarily out of stock. He confirmed he was happy to wait. The order was delivered in December 2025, approximately 10 weeks later, matching the specifications in size, weight, and finish.

Throughout the process, our team maintained clear, timely communication. We explained that minor variations in tonal quality, wash, and weight are normal when buying handmade items online without testing them in person.

Good-Faith Customer Support
At every stage, our team acted in good faith. We offered replacement items at our cost to better meet his preferences. We provided guidance via emails and phone calls, explaining the characteristics of handmade items and offering professional advice. Despite repeated abusive language, we remained professional and sought solutions, explaining that online orders for handmade items involve some uncertainty and offering assistance to mitigate risk.

Condition of Returned Goods
The customer returned the items to our Budapest warehouse. Upon inspection, they were tarnished and finger-marked, not in the original new condition. Photographic evidence documents both dispatch and return.

A 25 percent restocking fee was applied solely due to the altered condition, as the customer had been informed. He accepted this condition upon returning the items. As a gesture of goodwill, the fee was donated to a mental health charity.

Abusive and Defamatory Conduct
Throughout correspondence, the customer repeatedly used offensive and defamatory language, including:

“And F you”

“You are just a simple thief, just like your government who stole my money on tax”

“Your company is a complete disaster”

“Are you retarded or what”

“I’m going to tell everyone here in Denmark and all over the internet how incompetent you are”

“The items are so bad that I don’t even want to sell them here in DK. It’s the worst I ever had”

“I thought it was a scam after four months, but after six months they finally arrived”

“They sent me the exact opposite of what I ordered. I told them to send the best thin and washy jazz ones, and I got heavy, thick, really bad sounding rock ones. What a joke”

“I never played these. I opened them, used my left finger as a stand, tapped them with my right. Marks are from the cold, not my fault”

“Or you did it yourself just to piss me off”

“You are such an idiot, even though I told you twice I was sorry, you just keep lecturing me”

Despite this hostility, we remained professional and continued to offer solutions, including replacements and support.

Our Professional Position

The order was fulfilled accurately within 10 weeks.

Replacements were offered at our cost.

Restocking fee applied only to altered returns, with prior notice.

Professionalism was maintained throughout abusive correspondence.

Documentation supports the timeline, communication, and item condition.

Public claims suggesting unfair treatment are factually incorrect.

Fast and extremely well packed.

Two times I have ordered from Rubix. Both times the delivery time was 1/3 of the estimated delivery time. 5 days overseas. The snare wires were extremely well packed, Thick carton and TRIPLE packed! Should I complain about I had to spend two whole minutes unpacking? ;-)
Absolutely recommend, outstanding service!

Rubix has brilliant customer service and very knowledgeable staff who know everything you need to know about drums! I personally love the brands they offer such as Rohema and ZYN. I can say I will be using these brilliant brands a lot more, they are made with love and sound amazing! If you are ordering online Rubix has a very fast shipping system!
