I was reluctant to send my watch for repair with the retailer from which I purchased my Omega Seamaster.
It takes a number of weeks for the watch to be returned and I felt that the watch would just be part of a production line.
Via google I discovered RS Watch Repairs.
They deal with many prestigious brands and, importantly for me, they are local and the customer has a point of contact to whom you they communicate directly.
I spoke to Lee on the phone but dealt with Shannon on my visits to the premises.
I booked an appointment via their website.
Both were informative, friendly, courteous and ensured my repair and service was seamless.
Once the watch has been left for a repair a file is opened and the customer receives an email to inform them of the exact progress of the repair. For example I had a email to say the watch was being disassembled and the parts required were being determined. Another stated the parts were on order. Next, that the parts had been received and then that the watch service and repair was complete.
I was advised that the service could take 4-6 weeks.
I was delighted that it took just 15 days from start to finish.
Once the service is complete another email is sent to the customer requesting payment (£550 incl.VAT).
When payment is made the customer uses the website to book an appointment for collection.
I was advised that the watch would be serviced and polished.
I collected the watch and it looked immaculate - as good as when I first purchased the watch some years ago.
I am very pleased with the customer service and the work carried out by RS Watch Repairs and have already recommended the company to friends and family.

Great service. Prompt updates, and efficiently dealt with.
However, as a foreigner who took the opportunity to get 2 watches serviced whilst in Manchester, the website allowed me to book an appointment on a public holiday that is not celebrated in my residential country. So I wasted a morning trying to collect the watches when the office was closed.

Great service, easy appointment booking via the website, and was provided with great service by Shannon when booking in my watch repair. Continual updates throughout the repair process, with photos of your watch and it's condition on arrival. Repair completion and collection time arranged via email appointment, with watch repair inspection on collection, and a 1 year warranty on the repair.

Impressive from customer care start to finish; had my 10 year old Tag fully serviced.
