I had an online order which, when received, was unfortunately incorrect. However, when I called Rox Meat they were very accommodating in rectifying the problem which was much appreciated.

I recently went to buy goat meat and specifically asked the butcher if it was goat. He confirmed that it was, so I purchased 2 kg. When I got home and cooked it, I quickly realized the meat was actually lamb. It was extremely fatty and nothing like goat meat. I had planned to make curried goat for my son to take home with him, but the dish turned out too greasy and he didn’t even want it.
A friend later told me she no longer buys meat from this shop because they mix goat and lamb. It's completely dishonest. Customers trust that they are being sold exactly what they are paying for.
It makes you start to question what is really being sold. If they are willing to mislabel goat and lamb, who knows what else they might be selling? That kind of behavior destroys customer trust.
They used to have many customers, but now people are finding out and choosing to shop elsewhere. It’s such a shame. Customers deserve honesty and transparency.

ROTTEN MYSTERY PRODUCT AND NOT ITEMS I PAID FOR

NO STARS

Ordered 11 lamb shanks and what I received was not even fit for a dog. They weren't even lamb shanks. What they sent had more fat, bone, sinew and offal than meat. It was a day late and when it was delivered on a Saturday for use that day, the actual shop had already closed. I called them, a woman answered and told me to bring it back. So she wanted me to keep their whatever it was in my fridge/ freezer and return it tobe sold to another unsuspecting customer. When I raised this with her, she then claimed it would be put in the bin. So why ask me to drive 10 mimes at my expense to return it? Never mind my cost to store the mystery stuff in the 1st place. Woman then said my refund has now been processed. Called back on Tuesday, same woman said I need to return the mystery stuff before getting refund. She claimed to be a different person yet she repeated what the "other" woman said in the conversation from Saturday verbatim🤔. She said she'd get manager to call me. No call to this day and all emails and subsequent calls go unanswered.

Rox Meat You didn't email me when you said over the phone it was ready to be collected and you know it and I can prove it. The day you did email me, I called you and said I was on my way. You closed half an hour too early 🙃. There were no failed 2 collections. More lies. I sent my daughter the following day and this is what you gave me. I have been telling you all along that I took pictures of what you sent the very moment I opened it and received it. You know, on Saturday afternoon. You told me to bring it back because it's expensive "meat" I said to you. " You want to sell this to someone else and that even McDonald's, when they get their order wrong don't take it back because you can't trust the home from where it's come from to be safe to pass to another customer. You told me you'll refund me. I called you back and 6 times you told me I'd been refunded. Fast forward a few days, the same woman I spoke to, told me she was not the same person yet repeated the entire conversation back to me verbatim but said that I'd not been refunded. Klarna are involved as you well know as I've emailed and told you so but you don't respond. You've told me your manager will call me. That never happened. Just like, after, lie, after lie. And now you seriously want to claim that I've stayed in my house, with my children for all this time, in the heat with your meat rotting and stinking up my house. 🥴. That's absolutely, ridiculous and absurd. I kept the box too. Everything, just sitting somewhere, to bring vermin in my home. That's beyond crazy. Contact the police. I've already contacted the relevant parties I need to. I've done everything right and I even have recordings of all our conversations. I gave you ample time to resolve the issue and you didn't. You still haven't replied to my emails. The fact that you are accusing me of emailing you racial slurs and posting that all over Facebook is abhorrent. I asked you to post them on my thread as I have done with my evidence and you haven't. I told you to put them up complete with email address, time and date and you haven't. Why? Because they don't exist. I told you to post them, let the police trace the IP address. You haven't. I posted my pictures and proof and other people have commented saying you sell rotten meat. I'm more than happy to go to court and follow up with the outcome on here.
You say you have CCTV footage of me collecting the meat and checking it. I'm assuming you're claiming to have been able to identify me from my picture on my email. Well I've never been to your shop. I sent my mixed race daughters. So your lies just keep adding up.

Dear Customer,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to provide further details regarding a recent experience related to an order of 11 lamb shanks collected exactly a month ago.

You placed the order on the 22nd of August and upon collection, we took measures to ensure the order's accuracy and quality. You failed to collect your order on 2 separate occasions and each time the order was prepared fresh for you on the day. We had members of our staff waiting for you passed opening hours to collect your order and you still did not show up. Then finally the day you decided to collect which was on the 26th of August, you sent someone else after closing time and we had to reopen the factory to reprepare the order for you last minute which is something we did out of a goodwill gesture. The lady you sent to collect the order also checked the items before leaving the premises as it was prepared in front of her, and she was happy with it. She was even thankful for preparing the order last minute and apologetic for the last 2 failed collections, We have CCTV in our premises which can confirm all of the above. Later, we received a call stating that the order was incorrectly cut, the freshness and quality was never put into question. We immediately offered to rectify the situation by requesting a picture or inviting the customer to return the items for inspection so we could provide the correct order, which she refused to do stating that she would keep the meat because we would like to sell it to another person which is NOT true as we just wanted to investigate and find out what the issue was. Wherever you order anything, on any website you are asked to return the product if you are unhappy with it, or at least share a picture so we can see what the issue is. In this instance this is the first time that we ever see a picture of the product which is not what we supply you with. Furthermore, this order was placed a month ago and prepared fresh on that day. We received fresh meat product on the daily, straight from the slaughterhouse, we do not keep old stock as we are a very busy meat processing plant. If the meat had gone off as claimed, whoever collected the order would have definitely smelt it. This order was placed and paid with KLARNA and so far, we’ve not received any notification from them in relation to this incident as it was KLARNA that would have refunded you.
In light of this, we have now contacted our solicitor to issue proceeding for defamation as well as contacting the police for all the insults and racial slurs that were emailed to us received from yourself as well as threats to our admin team.
We’ve been serving the local community for over 25 years; our hygiene rating is 5 stars and we’ve always put our customers first and have always tried to resolve any issues encountered in a timely manner. Reviews of the sort are untrue and aimed to hurt our local business. Our shop in Eltham is pristine and all our customers who shop there can vouch for it. You are requesting a refund for an order you placed a month ago and for meat you kept to go off and now claimed it was sold off to you. You would be soon hearing from our solicitors and the police soon.

Frustration, disappointment and a terrible experience

I've placed an order on 15th of April and I still haven't received it today Saturday 23rd. I cannot express my frustration in decent words. A very poor communication, I had to chase my order every day, no information provided. Every time I was asking about my order somebody was coming up with a new excuse.
Worse part is they lied to me, on Wednesday they told me my order was posted with parcelforce and 2 days after I received another email saying they had some more issues and my parcel wasn't posted. I work in Logistics, I dispatch 30 lorries every day for many years now and every article is being delivered on time, the next day, all around UK, with no delays. With all the technology and communication we have today a parcel can be sent to the moon in one week, I don't understand how a small parcel from London cannot reach it's destination in the same country in Cornwall in 10-12 days, not just any kind of parcel, we're talking about fresh meat. They kept playing like this with me the whole week....now we've sent it, now we haven't. I received an email today saying my parcel wasn't sent and they will try to send it on Monday, this looks like a bad joke, made by very unprofessional people.
Not to mention the importance this orders has for me, as this weekend is the Orthodox Easter, I have guests coming over the weekend and I was meant to cook a traditional meal. Now I have to disappoint everyone , not to mention the Easter is ruined, you ruined it. Once again I cannot express my frustration....a terrible experience, with no doubt this is one of Easters I'll never forget.

The meat was not received on the day…

The meat was not received on the day it was supposed to be delivered, arrived next day buy the Quantity was very small.

I have been a client of Michmeat for so long but since the business was sold to someone else is just not great. Poor customer service, do not value private customer
