All the team members done an exceptional job and they were always there for me when I needed them.the providers know how to work with the medicine and they have been trained for a long time.the location was ideal for the retreat and the food amazing, definitely one of the top 10 experiences of my life .A special thanks to Steven ,Ryan and Rupi I will never forget you.

First and foremost, the care of the practitioners and staff was loving, supportive, thorough, and kind, and they were clearly experts. Medicine and ceremony itself were beautifully done and the healing and learning was deep. Gorgeous facility on beautiful land, and food was great, too. Highly recommend.

Root Healing Retreat was one of the most pivotal experiences of my life to date. I found myself. I found my voice. I let go of decades (and lifetimes) of baggage accumulated on this planet. The facilitators and their staff are heart centered, ethical, integrous people who took care of us and nourished us. The location was magical and stunning from every viewpoint. They kept us safe and feeling deeply nurtured, guided and cared for as we untangled ourselves thru the indescribable power of the Bwiti traditions and the Iboga root medicine. It was the most loving choice I’ve made for myself. I could not put a price tag on it. I am free.

Life changing experience

Basically, Root Healing saved my life!
From the moment I was picked up from the airport to walking through the door of the retreat to meet Ryan, Steven, Rupi and Maddy, four of the most beautiful people you will ever meet. I felt safe, held and most certainly cared for.
These people certainly know everything there is to know regarding Iboga.
I went to the retreat completely broken from addiction, past traumas and toxic shame. I had tried many treatments and nothing had worked.
Iboga was my last chance of finding a life worth living.
I was new to plant medicine and had lots of questions about the history, what happens in the ceremony and what to expect, etc. All of which were answered and made me feel ready to go on my journey and receive the medicine.
The ceremony’s were mind blowing to say the least, the most incredible journey I have ever taken. I felt safe and held throughout my journey.
The medicine for me, opened my mind and helped me heal.

The staff was amazing. They have a lot of experience and they are very helpful throughout the healing process. They were supportive throughout this experience. The setting, the location, the amenities, all of it was very suiting for the experience.

The whole setting offered by Roothealing is super. A very professional team with tremendous knowledge. Both the whole preliminary process and the stay gave me a sense of security. And then the process itself...... Wow what an experience .

For the last 20 years i was addicted to porn. I tried many times before but i could never quite. Now, for the first time in my life, i feel like i have a choice, like i'm not powerless against this addiction. I'll take it one step at a time but i do feel hopeful and this on its own is a lot. If you're thinking about taking iboga, please - go to root healing and not anywhere els. This is a very complicated experience to go through and you need the perfect setting and conditions root healing provide in order for you to focus on your healing.

I wanted to wait a couple months after the retreat to just see how things were once I levelled out from the ceremonies. It was such an intense experience, and so much to process. I feel like I am continuing to grow and realize things even weeks after the retreat. Specifically for me, one of the major things that has changed in my life is my anxiety. I used to have so much anxiety and get so nervous in public and social situations that my hands would shake and I could feel it in my stomach. I always had to talk, or conversate with people because I felt uncomfortable with silence. Even sleeping at night, I would have to have a movie or something playing in the background because my thoughts would bounce from one thing to another and I wouldnt be able to sleep.All that is gone now. Even months later.I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin. Stomach doesn't hurt from anxiety.I sleep with nothing distracting me. My thoughts and actions are more calm and I am better able to focus on things. Going into this I put alot of focus on these issues and feel that iboga and the retreat has helped me immensely. The ceremonies are definitely real, definitely intense, and definitely difficult.At least from my experience.I know everyone is different.As far the overall experience, I thought it was amazing. The Bwiti team, Steven, Estancia, Taylor, and Ryan were awesome. You can really tell they know what they are doing and sincerely care about you. The accommodation was excellent, on a beautiful location in Portugal. Very quiet and peaceful. The food was healthy and delicious. Taylor crushed it in the kitchen every day. The retreat also gives you the opportunity to stop... Even if just for a week. No distractions.A chance to just relax yourself and just be....thank you all so very much for making it such a great experience.

If you feel the call of Iboga Root healing is the perfect place to go. Both the people and the medicine are down to earth. Here you get to experience Iboga the traditional Bwiti way, with guidance on how to best navigate the experience.

For me this was a major shift in my life. Iboga doesn't take your free will away, but it shows you all of the ways your mind are hurting you, and gives you the choice to follow your heart instead.

After this I no longer identify so much with my mind and realise that my heart is my true essence. It's very simple really. All traumas are in the mind and our essence remains unharmed. Good news!

Everyone who feels the calling should do this and there couldn't be a better place than Root Healing. The people there are happy, supportive and inspiring and the food is good.

The weeks after Iboga are important to anchor your new insights into the world, so I recommend planning for that in advance. I did a week Hridaya silent retreat right after and it was the perfect integration. You could do something else, but for me it was invaluable to have a space without distractions to deepen the lessons from Iboga. The mind has many creative ways to reclaim control so watch out:)
