Very good work. Beautiful clean carpentry with no splinters left behind which was excellent. Just left a tad bit of sawdust here and there so I give a 9 out of 10 instead of 10 out of 10. After he left I used a dustpan and brush and then a hoover to make it a 10 out of 10 job

We had Roland refix a curtain pole that had come away from the wall.

We found him to be very helpful, knowledgeable, efficient and polite.

I used this service because I was desperate to get job done. What a mistake!!.
He was available at short notice & did the job quickly, which is what I needed & although the quote was more than I expected I went ahead.
I needed a shed roof repaired. He replaced felt badly. Left an unholy mess. The old felt just thrown around garden. I did complain but he was dismissive.
But the worst of it was how rude he was. Due to a banking administrative error, the completion payment did not go through in the usual 2 hr, period & was delayed. In this short time, he threatened me twice. Once by text message & later by phone being very aggressive & rude.
I can assure you the 650.00 for felting a shed was paid within 24 hrs of work done.
What a rude shoddy workman to be avoided.
I gave him 1 * as you are unable to give lower.

I have used Roland for some work at my house . I needed some silicone work . He was lovely, reliable and was very fair on his quote . I would use his services again . Lovely man

I want to share my recent experience with Roland’s Handyman Services, in the hopes that others can avoid the nightmare I went through. The lack of professionalism, rudeness, dodgy and RACIST behaviour (“pathetic Indian £1 deal f****r”)displayed by this individual is beyond words (see the message exchange attached)

Things started going south when I asked Roland for a breakdown of the costs for the project. This seemingly simple request led to a sudden change in their attitude. Instead of providing the transparency I expected, they became rude, obnoxious, and evasive. It was as if they had something to hide.

Not only did he refuse to give me the breakdown I asked for, but they also failed to provide an invoice despite numerous requests. This lack of documentation raised serious concerns about their intentions and integrity. It’s basic business practice to provide clients with an invoice, and their refusal to do so was a red flag.

What’s even more baffling is that we had a clear agreement on the price, both through text and in person. I have the text messages to prove it, including a detailed discussion of costs and confirmation from [Builder’s Name]. Yet, out of the blue, they had the audacity to demand more money. This blatant attempt to squeeze more out of me after we had agreed upon a price is not only unethical but also downright infuriating.

Moreover, he initially marked the area for the shed base and then approached me with a request for an additional £300, supposedly for “materials” they claimed they needed to extend the base by about 1-2 feet on both sides. I was taken aback by this sudden demand, especially since I vividly remembered that this “extension” was included in the area of the base we had agreed upon when he visited before giving the initial quote. When I questioned this he dismissively claimed that the “extension” wasn’t part of the initial agreement. Honestly, I could not be bothered to argue, and since still it’s a good price, I agreed to the new price with the “extension”. Also, I knew that the requested £300 couldn’t possibly be solely for materials. It was disappointing to see him resort to such tactics (although, I am well aware that this isn’t uncommon)

Crucially, as can be seen in the message exchange, not only this individual refused to remove the wooden border/frame from the base, he has absolutely destroyed my lawn by mixing cement and discarding residue on my lawn. As can be seen in the pictures, the grass has died and left with hardened concrete everywhere on the lawn.

The whole experience with this individual/company has left me feeling frustrated, and utterly disappointed. Their lack of professionalism, shady behavior, and disregard for clear agreements and the property have created a nightmare situation that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone.

I urge you, fellow consumers, to avoid Roland’s “services” at all costs. They are a prime example of what can go wrong when dealing with a contractor who is not only unprofessional but also appears to have questionable business practices. Save yourself the headache, stress, and potential financial loss by steering well clear of him.

Roland is very reliable . Does a efficient job with the requests I have had . Very reasonably priced and I shall be using the handyman service again.

I contacted Roland to fit vinyl flooring in my bathroom, he responded quickly and I explained what I wanted and sent him a photo of the bathroom.we agreed on a price for everything including the vinyl and he and his guys arrived on the date and time giving and he did a smashing job, my bathroom was looking a bit dated and this really transformed it.i will be using Roland again and im confident to recommend him.

I assume the man who attended my property was Roland himself as he is the man pictured on the website.

He was rude throughout. When I asked roughly how long the job would take he just said "as long as it takes" in an argumentative tone.

He did the simple job of fitting locks to bedroom doors, which created a lot of sawdust and mess. He swept up about a third of it - still leaving a huge mess - and refused to do any more.

When I asked him to complete the job he was confrontational, argumentative and rude.

He wanted to use a vacuum cleaner, I explained that the electricity was off as I was having work done by an electrician but that shouldn't prevent him sweeping up properly, he refused and left abruptly.

I had to complete the job by sweeping up properly myself.

I would never use Roland's handyman services again, even for a small job.

Furthermore, given his rudeness and unprofessionalism with such a small job I would advise anyone not to trust him with a larger job where his bad attitude might leave you with worse issues than cleaning up his mess.
