Great quality game changing solution …

Great quality products and a real game changer when it comes to keeping various bird feeds fresh (from the damp UK weather) and also, the reduction of waste, this aspect is a massive improvement upon previous feeding methods.
Yes, these are at a premium price, but now, having three different models, they truly are a premium product with many advantages, not just build quality.

Roamwild edger

I ordered and Roamwild shipped right away to me. My edger is a solid tool added to my gardening collection. Just makes edging so much easier for my newly retired years. Thanks for a great experience!

One star is too many in my experienced

Hung out my new 3.0 Roamwild seed feeder on 10th June filled with regular bird seed. Birds didn't feed for a few days so emailed Roamwild. They advised I should give 2 weeks for birds to feed. It is now 10 Oct and I'm still waiting. Bought my sister the large waisted feeder model at same time and she has similar problems. Paid £90 for the two. So, they do not work. We have tried different seed with no success. Trading Standards/CAB quote that items should be returned for full refund/return postage labels in conformance with
the 2015 Consumer Rights Act allowing six months for return of unsatisfactory goods not fit for purpose. Roamwild states they will allow return but my sister and I must bear the return charges. The Roamwild policy only allow free return of unused goods for 30 days. They normally wouldn't allow return of our feeders but will do us the favour on condition we pay return charges; they also demand the feeders are thoroughly cleaned.
It's hard to accept their awful attitude claiming there is nothing faulty with their 3.0 model. The birds that visit our feeders in Lincs and Kent find otherwise!

We're sorry the birds haven't taken to the feeders yet.

We'd like to share some context. Our instructions and the advice our team provides clearly recommend using 100% sunflower hearts in the PestOff seed feeder, hanging it alongside a familiar feeder, and letting the old one run down without refilling it so the birds naturally move across. Unfortunately, the feeder was filled with regular mixed seed from the outset, which is one of the most common reasons birds are slow to take to a new feeder. Birds will rummage through mixed seed for their favourites and are far less drawn to it than to sunflower hearts, which smaller songbirds find irresistible. Positioning the feeder near a tree or bush also gives the birds a safe retreat while they build confidence.

It's also worth noting that the feeder was put out in early summer, when natural food is at its most plentiful and birds rely far less on garden feeders. As we head into the colder months and natural food becomes scarcer, garden feeder activity picks up significantly, so now is the ideal time to follow the steps above.

Our PestOff range has sold over a million units across the UK and USA and has been independently recommended by the Telegraph, and when our setup guidance is followed, it works for the vast majority of our customers.

On the Consumer Rights Act, we'd like to clarify a common misunderstanding. The six month period does not give an automatic right to return goods that customers are unhappy with. It relates to goods that are faulty, where a fault appearing within six months is presumed to have been present at delivery. Birds not yet using a feeder is not a fault in the product, so this doesn't apply here.

Our standard returns policy covers unused items within 30 days. As your feeders were used and outside this window, we would not normally accept them back, but we offered to do so as a goodwill gesture due to current high demand for our seed feeders. We ask that returned feeders are cleaned so they can be put back to good use, and as the feeders are not faulty, return postage is at the customer's cost. This was offered in a spirit of helpfulness, and we're sorry it came across otherwise.

Not squirrel proof

Worked well for a while against squirrels untill they learn to hang upside down gripping the tube and feed. Then bought the Roamwild mesh cover defeating the whole idea of the the close action. Young squirrels can still squeeze in through the bars. Expensive feeders that aren't squirrel proof.

Bought 3 feeders and brackets

Bought 3 feeders and brackets, arrived quickly and well packaged.
It took around 1 week for the birds to figure them out! Now there’s no stopping them it’s great.brackets are quality made and heavy, feeders are easy to assemble, fill and clean.

I was impressed with the feeders when…

I was impressed with the feeders when they arrived and the birds love them but there is still seed on the floor as the birds love dropping it. Also the plastic rod where the insert clips in has deteriorated so will not hold the attachment in place allowing all the seed to drop out. I have had to put duck tape to keep it in position. I am very disappointed as these are not cheap and have been extremely careful when cleaning the feeders not to put strain on these clips. They should be made of metal so they do not deteriorate. I won't be buying again.

Thank you for your feedback and we're really pleased to hear the birds love the feeders.

On the seed on the ground, the PestOff's seed shield is designed to stop birds rummaging through and flicking seed out of the feeding ports, which is where most spillage from traditional feeders comes from. However, no feeder can stop a bird from dropping seed from its beak once it has taken it, which is natural feeding behaviour. If you're using a mixed seed, birds will often pick out their favourites and discard the rest, so sunflower hearts, which have no husks and very little waste, make a noticeable difference. For any seed that does fall, our PestOff Seed Catcher sits beneath the feeder and catches it before it reaches the ground.

Regarding the plastic clip, we're sorry to hear this has worn, and we do wish you had contacted us before leaving this review. This is something our team could have helped with, and we would never want you to be relying on tape to keep your feeder working. Please get in touch with us directly with your order details and a photo of the affected part, and we'll look into this and get the right replacement part to you.

Jackdaw proof!

Very well made product (squirrel and corvid proof seed feeder) and easy to put together. Looks great too and so far seems to have fooled the jackdaws and magpies that regularly trashed my old feeders. Excellent quality and fast delivery and will be returning to buy a peanut feeder when the colour I'd like is back in stock. Thank you.
