Paid a deposit, but the item was sold to someone else for a higher price. Despite promises, no refund after 3 years, multiple calls, and ignored emails. Dishonest and unreliable avoid for valuable musical instrument purchases.

The person I spoke to a man with a Northern English accent was condescending , ignorant and got well triggered when I said I'm a self taught musician. He spent vast chunks of the call denying that there was such a thing as less then 80 key piano keyboard on the market . Got irate when I put forth a correct statement then admitted it as a fact when it was repeated as the conversation moved on . He rushed me through the call most of which was taking up with him being condescending and disempowering Put it this way I would never bring a young person or child here to fire up a passion to learn music as this guy sounded ignorant on the type of vast keyboards that are available also told me that you tube is where people get questions answered actually it's not it is just a place where anyone can claim anything .
In addition to the above, experience I took lessons with a Piano teacher in Rimmers studios and the person was a bad communicator and not approachable or able to talk like a civilised human being .
Rimmers should employ less abrupt and narcissistic types and people who have a passion for musicians I did not even get to start asking about the purchase of a different piano because they guy appeared to be talking to his own ego then ended the call before I got to my main enquiry point which lost them a sale .

It’s perhaps rather unfair of me to give only 4 stars because of the lengthy delay in delivery of my CVP 701, since it was Yamaha who caused that, but it did dampen my enthusiasm a bit! (Bought in February, delivered in May) HOWEVER, Rimmers Music were very apologetic and helpful when I kept asking for updates AND were very responsive to emails etc. I certainly would buy from them again (and I DO love my new CVP piano!)

I had a brilliant experience shopping online with Rimmers Music.

The keyboard I was after was out of stock at the time, but I contaced them and they quickly replied letting me know when stock was due in and provided me with a way to reserve one. They then informed me as soon as the stock had arrived and kindly dispatched it on the day of my choice so I would be home to receive it.

The item arrived on the day I was expecting it and the keyboard and accesories were spot on. So I'm very happy with my experience and my purchase.

They were professional, quick to respond and very helpful. I would recommend Rimmers Music without a shadow of a doubt and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I purchased a Yamaha piano from Rimmers Music and received great customer service throughout the process. They were helpful and responsive, even after the sale, addressing my questions promptly. Delivery was handled professionally. While everything wasn't perfect, overall, the service and product quality make Rimmers Music a reliable choice. Four stars!

Rimmers Music has its strengths and weaknesses. The staff are helpful, and their products are good quality. However, delivery issues with couriers like TNT/FedEx can make the experience frustrating. Delays and poor communication around delivery windows detract from the convenience they advertise. Mixed experience overall; some improvements needed for a smoother customer journey. 3 stars.

The sales was straight forward and smooth but the return arrangement for large item was awful. I purchased a digital piano online in Jan, the piano, headphone and the stool arrived quickly. But the cover of the piano was broken, Rimmers quickly arranged a replacement to be sent out. And arranged the faulty piano to be collected by TNT, the problem started here, TNT came twice on the same day without a trolley, only one man came each time, both men refused to collect the item as they simply cannot lift it and the booking was for 20kg item, and one of them said they will come back to collect the following week on Tuesday. Tuesday came, no sign of TNT, I emailed Rimmers they did not write back, I only got another TNT collection booking confirmation, but the next day came and still no sign of TNT. I phoned Rimmers for some clarification, they said they will rearranged another collection, which is supposed to be today, but again no one show up for collection. I am not sure what’s going on and how many more emails or calls I have to make to get this sorted. I printed a new label three times, every time Rimmers make a new TNT collection a new label is required.

I wasted a few days waiting for them, I felt like no one bother to look into this properly and it is very poor customer service. I gave three stars based on the purchased experience, staff were polite on the phone but the after sales and return service are awful.

I had a bad experience with Millers, keeping my money and no order received. Finally got a refund and ordered from Rimmers. Ordered on Monday morning and was delivered the following day. Very happy with order and delivery.
The only downside as I wanted to check stock. No one answers phone or returns messages left

Phoned them to ask for advice. Person who answered was very helpful and patient with my questions. The delivery was super speedy. I ordered at 1:30pm and my piano arrived the next morning before 9am! All in excellent form and couldn't be more straightforward. Very pleased and highly recommended. My kids are loving the piano. Thank you so much.

I had a great experience purchasing my upgrade of guitar, I knew exactly what I wanted including the strings being changed to lighter ones and the service was exceptional. Placed order Saturday before Xmas and they had it restrung and delivered to me for 24th Dec so my Xmas present to myself was here for Christmas day 🎄 I dealt with James M and I will definitely use them again.

I had a really positive experience dealing with the Rimmers team with my first purchase from them, a piano. Hannah, the sales advisor we dealt with, was responsive in advising me on what they had available for quick dispatch - in this case next day delivery. She was clear around cut-off times etc.

When Hannah went on leave and we called to confirm details, another member of the team was really helpful in stepping in and making sure our delivery had been processed for the correct day, so that it all felt seamless.

Our only minor improvement we'd suggest is that when ordering via the website, the option of delivery to ground floor room of choice and installation/setup of the piano is offered at an added cost you can add to your basket, however for upstairs deliveries the process is much more complicated.

You have to send a video of your home to Rimmers and describe the staircase etc. We couldn't help but feel that there could be some way of letting a customer easily input these details, e.g. number of staircases, into the website and getting a price self-serve. Felt like a long-winded way of going about things, in this digital age! Perhaps there's a smarter website solution there that's a bit less time intensive for customers?

I had a first class experience at Rimmers Music buying a new Steinway upright piano. From first contact to delivery, Hedley and Hannah were immensely helpful, including making special arrangements to get me to Bolton to try out the piano when it arrived from Steinways. Communications by email and phone were excellent throughout and the delivery of the piano was handled very efficiently by Gilberts Piano Removals.

Placed order 7 days ago and still have not received order. Paid for Saturday delivery which they didn't deliver, rimmers refunded the Saturday delivery fee, but I still have not recieved my goods. Been told will be delivered on Monday no delivery.
Tuesday it’s definitely being deliver today- no delivery. Wed assured they are delivering-no delivery. I asked about a refund as I would rather order from another company.
Rimmers reply:
We are, of course, not going to argue should you wish to have this refunded.
I must add, a refund can only be processed once we receive the piano back to our depot.
This is likely to take longer than allowing them to complete the delivery to you.
Absolute terrible service, they told me their delivery company aren’t reliable for weekend deliveries, but they have had 4 days now they haven't delivered. Why not use a more reliable courier company for your customers? I wouldn’t recommend or use again.
