They are a scammer

They are a scam. Renting out a scooter and it stopped working after 2 days. Asked to change scooters but then said there were no availability. After returning the scooter they still charged me for another week.

Terrible. I asked them to book a return and they didn't have a slot available and asked me to keep paying the e-bike renting till the day of their availability. It was not my fault that they didn't have any sooner availability on they system. Then they just remotely locked the bike making it impossible to return it. I contacted the support about this situation so many times and they were very unhelpful. I've suggested so many ideas in order to resolve this problem peacefully but all they care about is money and more money. I am moving out from my current address and I was left with no option but leaving the bike outside. I will also have to take this headache to a small claim court because Zoomo process of work is completely against the Consumer Rights Act. Once they know that most people who rent their bike are immigrants, they automatically think we don't know our rights as consumers and therefore we will accept whatever they say to us.

DO NOT RENT BIKES WITH THEM.

Wasted my entire day had an appointment…

Wasted my entire day had an appointment booked at 2pm and was told to wait until 5 and I’d get a phone call but didn’t receive no call , it dont make sense I had an appointment booked they should’ve had my bike waiting for me at 2pm but they didn’t , very unprofessional not happy at all

Worst customer support and service

If I could give a 0 I would. Got my e-scooter and was told my uber account should be activated since they’ve uploaded the documents from their end. 6 days later they’ve failed to provide me with the certificate and any assistance. The worst customer support. The scooter even died on my way to their store which they said would cost me £75 for roadside assistance. It clearly states on their website that the roadside assistance is included in all of their plans. How hard is it to provide a motor insurance certificate? I am so tired of their service. This has costed me my entire rent and now I have to pay for scooter’s rent tomorrow when it’s been sitting in my driveway. Absolute nightmare

AVOID - Defective bike caused financial ruin, company charges late fees while bike doesn’t work
Purchased electric bike to earn income during financial hardship. BIG MISTAKE.
What went wrong:
• Bike failure - constant breakdowns
• Transmission problems made it unreliable for work
• Can’t earn money = can’t make payments
• Company response? RESTRICT my account and charge LATE FEES.

The cruel irony: They charge me late fees on a bike that doesn’t work, which is WHY the payments are late in the first place.

Current situation: Going without food because I’m paying for a useless bike that’s supposed to help me make money but instead costs me money I don’t have.
Company’s “solution”: More restrictions, more fees, zero accountability for selling a lemon.
This isn’t just bad customer service - it’s predatory. They’ve trapped me in a cycle where their faulty product prevents me from paying for their faulty product.
Next step: Filing with ombudsman for selling defective goods and unfair contract terms.
WARNING TO OTHERS: Don’t make my mistake. Buy elsewhere or you’ll end up paying monthly for something that doesn’t work while they profit from your misery.
UPDATE NEEDED: Still waiting for company response to make this right…

COLLECTIONS CALL - I just had a call, the collections team admitted ZOOMO were to blame, however asked me to pay all the same.…how is this fair?

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost! Use other alternatives like port e-bikes! They are much better in literally every way.

1) Extremely predatory behavior: The company lives on overcharge their customers. I got a bad bike (that I didn't use, they can see it in their GPS) that I had to change but they never gave me extra days for tolerating the bad bike and charged me. Every time I have been to both of their London location, they are always hustling some or the guy.

2) Horrible customer service: When I left with my bike (I got it when the shop was about to close), the bike stopped working while I was riding it and the customer support was completely unresponsive. Its the same with their physical location. Their staff doesn't care about customer service (probably because they are understaffed).

3) False advertising: They advertise one price and give another when you go at the location because there are hidden cost. They never have extra battery or rear box.

4) Terrible bikes: Their bikes can be hit or miss, its up to luck. Some or the other problem will occur with their bikes if you aren't lucky enough because they don't care.

5) Punish them for scams: If you faced similar problem, you can take them to small claims court.

Very bad experience I hope I never rental this company cycles

I took the cycle yesterday 10 minutes after two o'clock when I came home with the cycle when I checked its battery and put the battery on charging, the charging was not working. Let a guy come out with a bicycle and then his charging point doesn't work, I mean the charging cable and the other point of his cycle in doesn't work. Please tell me how someone can work like this. Please forward this message to the head office. It's the worst experience of my life in the UK. I take a bicycle from a place and it breaks on the same day. because it is not working it has a hundred kinds of problems neither its gate changer is working nor its battery is working nor its charging is working so what will I do by keeping it and my working days are lost because of you guys and from where I received it. There isn't a proper person working there. One thing I had to get a reason for is getting me at ten minutes past two.

Terrible company they will rip you off.

Been renting the soco cpx from them since June of this year. Paid every penny of rent to them. Bike was having some mechanical faults which should be covered by the warranty. Instead they wanted to charge me in total over £1000 for a new charger and repairs. Their intentions was to most probably claim the warranty and charge me as well. Do not rent from this company under any circumstances. The mechanic does not even know how a switch a works. I had to explain to the mechanic how it works.

Awful company to deal with

Ive had the worst experience with this company in regards to renting a mopped from them. First the customer service was very slow to reply to any concerns or issues regarding my service. Price was agreed upon through uber and when it came to payment it was more than originally agreed plus another £6 a week in case of theft etc. plus with an uber account there was a deal that you received a bonus after every 200 deliveries which i never received and i emailed about this query three or four times to no response. I have changed to a new company which their prices are 30% weekly cheaper than here for the same mopped and with no deposit needed. I still not have received my deposit back for the mopped which is gave back over 10days ago and the deposit was £200. They also charged me for a penalty with no explanation or details of what this penalty is.
So advice for anyone who is thinking of going with this company think very strongly before agreeing to anything with them as they don’t regard their customers issues and concerns

Payment charged but service not provided

I had rented a bike on 14th of October from zoomo and had paid advance rent, starting fee and the deposit to zoomo. On 17th of October Zoomo's third party barged into my buildings lobby without permission and broke the lock of my bike and took it away without my permission and notifying me. When I came back home I was not able to find my cycle and I thought it got stolen. This caused me serious distress and anxiety because I thought now I would be blamed for it. After some time I received an email from team zoomo that their third party took away the cycle from my buildings lobby by mistake and now I'll have to come again to their showroom to collect another cycle.

I was only able to use my cycle for only 3 days despite of the fact that I had given an advance rent for 7 days. Additionally as they took away my cycle I had to bear the cost of travel to my university which I used to go on the cycle. I have been constantly emailing team zoomo but I have not been receiving any response for them.

Team zoomo should refund my rent as they did not provide me the complete service and took away the cycle without my permission like thieves do.

I reserve the right to take legal action as they not only failed to provide me the complete service even after charging me the entire money but they barged into my building's lobby and forcefully took away the cycle without my permission and now they are not even replying to my query.

I would suggest everyone not to use this pathetic service as they can not keep up with their agreement and commitment. I have all the necessary evidence and documentation to support my claim.

Very poor service the staff is charged…

Very poor service the staff is charged and they don’t understand the system. Please train them properly then bring them to desk for customer service. The boy with glasses don’t understand any thing every time asking… poor service sorry to say

High rent prices with friendly team and durable bikes!

I am an old clie with Zoomo,
So, The Zoomo team, especially “Hugo”, have never let me down. They are so kind, helpful, and go the extra mile to provide the best customer service.

On the other hand, regarding Zoomo itself and its bikes, their bikes are durable, practical and have few faults, in my opinion the negatives are two:
- The rental prices are so high that you pay for a new bike every few months!!
- Maintenance centres are very far away and few, especially after the closure of the Fulham centre.

Conclusion: It is a company that you can depend on for a short period only, and you should prepare yourself to buy your own bike or motorcycle.
The price policy and the few service centers, it is a wrong business policy and if they want to continue in the market, it must be changed!
