I have a SuperStorm cover which to be honest I’ve actually been pretty happy with. Now 18 months old, the fabric is deteriorating and is extremely brittle. Almost every time I remove the cover it results in another tear. Even knowing it’s brittle and handing it as careful as possible it still tears.

The product has a 12 months old warranty, however Richbrook a company that prides themselves on premium car covers - you can’t tell me this is the expected quality and lifespan of your products. This isn’t a $20 Temu cover, these are expensive. My last car cover lasted over 10 years!

Emailing with Richbrook has gone no where. Just towing the company line - “we can’t do anything as the warranty has expired”. I fully accept the warranty has expired, but I’m sorry 18 month lifespan is piss poor. My company sells products with a 12 month warranty too, but sometimes you see a failure outside of that and you replace it because you recognise it’s not good enough and you expect better from your products. Clearly Richbrook doesn’t stand behind the quality of their products. Saving a few quid on a replacement is worth more than a happy customer.

In hindsight, the fact their website doesn’t allow for customer reviews should have been a red flag. Shop elsewhere. Avoid Richbrook they sell rubbish products.

Wonderful customer service. I placed my order by phone with a very helpful member of the team, and the cover was delivered the same day as they were passing my house on their way home. The cover itself is excellent—perfect fit, soft fleece lining, and outstanding value. I would highly recommend both the product and the service

Considering that I live in Dubai, I was amazed at how fast the delivery was, and the delivery box didn’t have a single imperfection on it.

Opening up the box it was clear that this was a quality product. The material was strong and looked pretty tough. Extra rubber protection was provided around the plastic strap clips. The storage bag came with a Richbrook branded zip and a tag to put the car’s details on. Nice touch.
The cover fitted almost perfectly. Only the door mirror pockets were set about an inch or so too far back causing a slight tightness in the cloth.

The reason I bought this was to protect my F-type convertible from the dust, sand, and heat. Rain is not really a problem here! So sitting in a daytime heat of 51C already in May, the cover is doing its job, and keeping some of the heat, and all of the UV, out of the car. Only the last 2cm of tyre can be seen. Yes Even tyres need protection here!

I didn’t order the strap passing gadget. Instead I used a metal reel tape measure to do the job. The tape clip can be slotted onto the end of the metal tape. The metal tape is then passed under the car, saving me buying yet another gadget.

On the shipping manifest it listed the actual manufacturer, so with curiosity, I looked up their website to see if it was the same. Yes was the answer, but they only listed the coupe F-Type and not the convertible. This might be because the cover fits both of them. The sloping roof line of the coupe is the only difference. This does not matter on the convertible as the fabric just spans across the missing fastback of the coupe and fits a treat.

The only improvement I can think of would be to fit a zipped door panel to allow entry to the car without having to remove the panel, and to move the door mirror a bit further forward. But it fits, it looks great, and it protects the car. And if I had another F-Type I’d buy another Stormguard cover. Only time will tell how long it will last in this environment, but it’s not melted yet!

If 0 starts were an option it would be ticked. To start I bought their claimed storm proof top of the range nonsense coming to a reasonable sum and I thought that would be perfect for all year round.

The package turns up not planning on using for a couple months so it got left in my car and didn’t move for a while. Come to open it I couldn’t actually believe that it was in half. Like it had been really rough cut straight through the middle turning up with shit and dirt on the inside and then duct tape on some holes.

Communication was poor. No help with anything and then they claim it’s not theirs. Considering it turned up in a branded richbrook carry case you think it came from them. And after a lengthy phone call they refused everything with no refund or and replacement. Repeating it had breached the 30 days.

Wish I could give a 0 star rating. This company is a rip off!! I ordered a car cover back in January for my SORN vehicle. I chose this brand as they seemed reputable and I wanted a cover that would not scratch my car. These car covered are not cheap so I had high expectations. Upon opening my car cover ready to put on my car I discovered that it has been ripped in half and is covered in mud. This is unacceptable. I sent a friendly email to their customer service team voicing my dissatisfaction along with clear pictures. Their reply was very blunt and unhelpful: “ From looking at images ending in 6103 and 6105 we can tell that this cover is not a Richbrook SuperStorm cover.
The image 6103 shows that the inside of the cover is fleecy which the SuperStorm is not.
Also the silver weave shown in image 6105 does not match the silver weave that the SuperStorm is made from.
The video shows how the underbody is sewn into the cover, which does not match how the SuperStorm underbody strap is sewn into the cover.” not only have they further highlighted their incompetency by admitting they have sent the incorrect product but they are taking no responsibility and have not issued any refund or a replacement. Would not recommend this company to anyone! They clearly have no quality checking in their warehouses and will send out any old crap to paying customers without checking first. Very disappointed and £135 down the drain. Poor customer service. Money grabbing scum.

I've finally got the time to write a review of my experience with Richbrook covers.

For those who want a summary, the cover was not remotely waterproof and I had to fight to get a refund. It appears the promised warranty is not honoured.

Within a few weeks of purchasing the cover I noticed huge amounts of water. I first put it over my car without its roof on, thinking this would provide adequate protection. I came back to a car filled with litres of water. Slightly dumbfounded I then stored it with a "shower cap" roof, then the Richbrook cover and came back, yet again to litres of water, this time creating a bath in the shower cap about to collapse into the car.

I had already spoken to Richbrook who assured me this was to be expected. The cover needs to be breathable. I naively took their words onboard as they should clearly be the experts in this field. As another winter approached I again started using the cover and would find, not only was the car and cover severely wet but it was also dumping a disgusting residue, almost like the finest of sands, all over my car. I would cover up a pristine car and each time come back a few days later to something covered in fine grit and dirty as hell. I finally did tests with the hose pipe to show that water was seeping through within seconds. Zero protection.

I had at this point entered into a second dialogue with Richbrook. I was left numerous times with no replies, having to chase them. Despite sending videos they continued to not believe my points and would ignore my requests for a replacement.

Finally I gave up and ordered a new cover (knowing lead times were about 4 weeks). Specialised covers if you're interested. And so far it is very waterproof.

It took several threats of court action to get a eventual refund, but when it was offered it was accompanied by an email stating that they were doing so "despite not believing what I was stating". As I took this as an accusation of lying I decided to not accept their offer, preferring a legal route, unless they retracted this accusation. Finally someone did step in, further up the chain, and apologise for the poor choice of words and I got a refund.

The problem is it caused severe damage to my cherished car. No-one buys a cover who doesn't have a car they love. This cover not only became sodden with water, meaning my car's paintwork stayed wet far longer than it would in open air, creating water damage bubbling, but it also dumped an unknown grit all over the car which created micro scratches and hazing whenever you attempted to clean the car.

After the refund I still spoke to the company asking if they'd like to collect the old cover so they could investigate as to what went wrong. They ignored this email. I later wrote again, asking the same question and they suggested that Christmas was a busy period and they'd arrange for it asap. Well it's now March and they clearly don't GAF. I also suggested that should they investigate and find issues, they might like to then offer something towards the restoration of the damage that could have been prevented by selling an item fit for purpose or indeed not suggesting everything was normal with a waterproof cover that wasn't in fact waterproof. Of course they never did.

So here's my review. A terrible experience, with worse customer service than their product, and that's quite impressive!

Just received our car cover for my husbands Subaru. He’s really pleased with it.
Great quality, there were issues with delivery but not the company’s fault. They kept us up to date with deliver schedules and apologies more than once.
Would not hesitate to buy from them again

Outstanding service! Ordered an outdoor car cover which was promptly dispatched but unfortunately did not fit quite correctly around the door mirrors. Dominic at Richbrook went above and beyond in checking with the designers for a solution and exchanged the cover for the correct model fit at no cost-the couriers were prompt with pick up and drop off. The cover is a great value item and looks superb; really pleased and impressed with this level of customer care.

Don’t order from this company, I ordered a very expensive car cover and had to chase the order after waiting for 4 days with no sign of the order and no dispatch email, I phoned to chase it and after taking full payment for the order it had not even been dispatched or processed!!!!

Terrific comms throughout and very prompt dispatch. Excellent quality product too. Well done!

I ordered a supersoft indoor cover for my Frogeye Sprite a couple of weeks ago on a Friday afternoon and it was delivered to me the very next day. Thanks to Dominic at Richbrook's for his help and advice on the phone, and for processing my order so quickly. It's an excellent indoor cover, very soft, very stretchy and BRG too. Excellent.

Purchased an outdoor car cover for my m3. The fit was good but after first use it scratched my paintwork in 2 places. There were 2 areas of Aprox 3 inch sq where there was lots of surface scratches, clearly where the cover was moving in the wind. I emailed them and they responded to say their covers don’t scratch even though I provided pictures and explained this was first use.
They blatantly disregarded what I said and told me the scratches were not from the cover.
I’m disgusted by their response.
Shockingly bad response.
If that was my company I would be ashamed of that customer service.

Sent two messages via their website. No way of sending a direct email so you must fill in their contact us page which says they always get back to you and on both occasions they haven’t so very poor service especially when you are spending this much money on a car cover.

The issue I wanted to speak with them is because I ordered a superstorm cover for my mk2 clio RS . It arrived straight away when it states they are made to order so expect a few week wait which is when alarm bells started to ring. They have hundreds of of cars /models to choose from hence the two+ week wait for your bespoke fitted cover so when it arrived with Ming 2 days it had nothing to say it was for my particular car or any car for that matter and it’s a lot bigger than a “ fitted” cover should be which was my first email to ask is this the correct cover . No reply

Second message was to say water is coming in through the wing mirror covers and pooling because it can’t escape so it stays there until the cover is removed. Again no reply.

So to summarise terrible customer service from a company who says they reply to every messages. I would say avoid this company. I have a excessively large cover that leaks.

Purchased a stormguard cover for my lotus last year. First one supplied did not quite fit. Contacted service to inform. Agent asked for photos of cover when fitted. Supplied them and agent sent replacement which is excellent fit. Obviously cover was well tested for waterproofing last and this year and car kept bone dry. So, quality cover and quality service. Recommended.

To be honest the outdoor cover fits like a 10 bob suit, as in where it touches. It will pool water in places as it is so baggy but far too tight in others and is straining the door mirrors to breaking point.

Excellent service from start to finish. Received my Mini Cooper F55 cover in a few days and it fits wonderfully. Very pleased indeed... Thank you Richbrook.

I bought these mats back in August 2022, for my SL350 and have been treating them not very well, ever since.
They are excellent value for money and the colour match is spot on, plus, they are proving to be reasonably rugged.

However . . . . .Richbrook have missed out on 5 stars, only because they use Evri (MyHermes to you and me) as their carrier.
A delivery time of 10 days streched to almost 4 weeks, simply because the carrier is not customer focused and really cannot be bothered to meet agreed delivery schedules.
I was unable to chase Evri . . . .their website offers no direct contacts, except via email, which they steadfastly refuse to answer.

I would certainly reccomend the product . . . . . .but

Bought an indoor cover for a Golf R after looking at many companies.Quick delivery. Cover fits perfectly, really soft but quite thick and stretched easily over the car fitting very well . Very happy with my choice. Would recommend.

Bought a dust cover for my motorcycle from richbrook and was delighted with the quality, their after sales service was also fantastic.
I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
