This is not how selling refurbished items works. The condition of the shoes that I got was so bad I would be emberased give to charity for someone to pay money for them. The soles were dirty as if they couldn't even bother to give them a clean before reselling. The inside leather was flaking and had holes in it, litteraly pieces of dry leater were falling out when I took them out of the box. Delivery is a rip off, £7 and you have to pay for the return yourself and hope that you will get your money back. The deadline of 7 business days is just to give you a number because I did not get my money back yet and it's been more than 7 business days. I did send them a message using the enquiery form on their site to which they aim to answer in a day but they don't and you don't even get a confirmation that your message was sent, just krickets. So I guess I'll have to do a charge back on my credit card for this because they don't seem very eager to give people their money back.
I really like the idea behind Revivo — reconditioning barefoot shoes, reducing waste, and giving good products a second life. I’ve been using Vivobarefoot for a while and my first pair (size 9) fits me perfectly.
Recently, I bought a different model through Revivo, same size (9), and it didn’t fit at all. It was too small and tight, even though my original pair is also a size 9 and still fits great. I had to pay for return postage, which isn’t ideal, and order a size 10 instead.
The size 10 pair fits much better, but here’s the second problem: they don’t look as good as advertised. On the website, they were listed as “great condition” and looked nearly new in the photos. But when they arrived, they clearly looked used — more worn than expected, with visible wear and marks that weren’t shown online. I understand they’re not brand new, but I paid £114 and expected to look in better shape for this amount
I was going to wait for a response to my second email to Revivo, but reading the reviews I've realised Revivo simply doesn't respond to emails!
I purchased a pair of boots (excellent, or the highest spec of revived boots) and within 2 weeks of occasional wearing the sole is coming away from the leather. £136 they cost.
I bought them to be 'sustainable' but also figured a larger investment would mean several years of great footwear. Clearly you don't get what you pay for with this company.
If they don't respond to me I may be stuck with boots that serve me a couple of months at most. But I will be reporting them to Trading Standards. I suggest others do as well

I ordered via Revivo and once my order arrived I opened it and it was the wrong footwear. No big deal, right? Just a slight inconvenience I thought... Wrong.
Well, I sent an email to customer service and I received a quick response - return the footwear via the link and they would expedite the replacement. received. I returned the footwear immediately and they've received it in warehouse.
Well, firstly it seems the reply I got by email initially was an AI. It gave me the wrong return info and despite me asking so many time via email for the correct return info, I got no response (this was before I found out it was an AI). I eventually found the actual correct return form online. So I returned them.
Since returning I've had no contact... I don't know what's happening with my order. I contacted them through their website and received another (possibly AI) response by email saying they'd offer me a refund. I don't want a refund, I simply want the footwear I ordered initially (unless they don't have it in stock - then just tell me that). I've sent them many emails trying to get some clarity on what's happening but I have no idea...
I have now spoken to a super unempathetic someone (not an AI, I don't think) through Vivo's online support chat, and they have requested a callback with Revivo so I can get my order. Whether it will materialise or not is another question... I'll update my review afterwards.
Update: I've just managed to speak to someone at the Boot Repair Company (the company Revivo use for repairs and reselling, I believe) who confirmed that the customer service of Revivo is appalling - I'm certainly not the first who's had trouble. She was soooo nice (a welcome breath of fresh air) and will look into this despite it not being her job... Let's see if she can sort it. It's wild I'm having to spend so much time on this and turn into a proper super slueth just to get either 1) my actual order or, 2) get a refund. I still don't know what's happening though - and no, they never have called me despite my request to get a callback...
Update 2: The Boot Repair Company called me back within 30 mins and they are issuing me a refund today it seems... Hopefully it'll come through - I'll update here. Still shocked. Will never buy from Revivo again and I warn others to not do the same. Vivo, if you're reading this: please please work to reorganise your sister company Revivo - the ethics and intention of this company is admirable but in practice is is clearly not working (read the many other reviews on here and FB). Thanks
Update 3: I managed to get refunded via The Boot Repair Company. I've read a few reviews saying they couldn't get refunded directly from Revivo as their customer service is like a brick wall. I managed to The Boot Repair Company using: +44 113 200 3947

I’m disappointed with the quality of the repair, especially after paying for their highest-tier service. The heel, which used to be flexible, now has a rigid piece of padding sewn in, making the shoes very difficult to put on. Instead of properly fixing the internal sole, they just covered it, which has reduced the space inside and affected comfort.
Worse still, they damaged lace eyelets that were previously fine—now they have sharp edges. These should have been replaced as part of the service, especially since replacements are clearly included in the repair level I chose. Overall, the work feels careless and not worth the premium price.
I ordered the RESOLE + REFRESH service from Revivo for my Primus Lite shoes. According to their website, the process was supposed to take up to 6 weeks. In the end, including shipping, it took 12 weeks. Delays can happen, and I would have understood — but I was never informed or updated during that time, which was frustrating.
When the shoes finally came back, I was honestly shocked. While the sole was technically replaced, the overall workmanship was poor. Glue was visible everywhere, applied unevenly — too much in some places, not enough in others, even leaving gaps. The repair looked worse than the condition they were in before sending them off.
Unfortunately, this felt like a waste of money and resources.
The shoes arrived on time, but the return process is a headache. I love the concept, and I'm happy with one of the two pairs I ordered. The other pair had a misleading description, in my opinion, which is why I wanted to return them. There is no clear guidance on how to proceed with the returns, and when I finally found the guidance, following the directions led to literally nothing. So here I am, sitting with the promise of seamless returns of shoes I do not want to own. I'm happy to change my review upon a prompt solution to my situation, but judging from other reviews, the probability of that happening seems slim.
I have given them around 20 clothes and out of which 19 they returned. They perform cheap activity of stealing the clothes. Also that is my favourite tshirt and that is its first wash and they have stolen that.
For me the experience is really poor, that why, giving them google rating is also not possible. They are CHOR
I really wanted to write a good review for the repair service, but the service has not been good. I sent 2 pairs of vivos for the highest level repair service. One pair was done OK, the finish of the repair on both were not fantastic, but I like the idea of repair & reuse. The second pair are unwearable as the replacement liner that they put in is the wrong size for the shoe. I reported this to them and they said that they'd post me replacements. The first replacement got lost in the post and I'm still waiting for a response regarding whether they will send out another set of replacements. The service is very slow and I am still trying to get the correct size insoles in April 2025 for shoes "repaired" in 2024. I've been trying to get this sorted out since November 2024. Pushing 6 months to send me a pair of insoles when they made the mistake is terrible customer service.
You're supposed to get a voucher/coupon for sending in your old vivos. Four months after they received them and I haven't heard a thing.
I wanted to share my very positive experience since I think it might benefit someone who, like me, only looked at reviews after the purchase. The boots arrived in great conditions -looked brand new- with brand new soles and thermal insoles! Delivery was quick and the customer service replied to one of my queries nearly immediately.
There is a reason why there are so many negative reviews about revivo here.
I bought a good condition shoes. The quality was unacceptable. You do not have the opportunity to see photos of the condition the shoes. They had marks everywhere, one of the shoe did not fit well compared with the other shoe, the shoes were rigid and they were heavily sprayed with some chemical.
It is disappointing because I like the idea of reusing shoes and repairing them. However, this should be a premium service and I think they are treating badly customers who have good intentions.
You can return the shoes within 28 days, you have to try them indoors and they don't refund you if they were wore outside, you also have to print the label, and you pay to return the shoes.
It is better to use vivobarefoot instead of revivo
Bought a pair of revivos in October 2024. By February 2025 the front of the shoe had come apart from the edge. I emailed the customer service team who said I could either return for a full refund or have a partial refund of 20% if I didn’t wish to return. Due to a medical condition I am unable to return them, however I was not happy with the 20% refund, I requested 40% which was declined. I then accepted the 20% (I’d had enough) to then receive an email to say that management were no longer offering partial refunds and that I’d have to return them to get a full refund plus 30% off my next pair. Funny that they thought I’d want another pair from them. Their customer service needs some serious work, you cannot back track on an offer if you want to keep loyal customers. Wholly disappointed.
First time posting a review on anything but this company is beyond terrible. I ordered a refresh service for my vivobarefoot shoes. Nothing was wrong with the shoes, just that the original laces got damaged so I replaced it with a generic amazon one which I didn't like. I know in their website they said they don't have laces available for sale. So I explored other options and tried the refresh service of revivo even though the shoes were fairly new.
After the order, the instructions explicitly said "Pack your clean worn Vivobarefoot footwear in a courier bag/box or any sufficient shipping package (This is not provided by Vivobarefoot). Please remove any laces and/or insoles you would like to keep. New laces and insoles will be provided as part of the repair."
I could've removed the laces but following their instructions I kept it. I received the shoes back and lo and behold, old laces are still there. After contacting customer service they now say laces are only replaced when necessary. All I want now is if I can send the shoe back and have them replace the laces like they originally said. But I only receive apologies for the inconvenience caused. Not even a refund.
Terrible customer service non existent after so called excellent quality tracker boots start coming away at the sole sent an email heard back after a few days then nothing to my responses chased up numerous times nothing back
How can you run a company of your size like this just a joke
Ordered a resole and refresh. Within 25 minutes received an email saying they were cancelling my order as they were unable to verify my information. I am a prior customer as I have bought renewed shoes. If they don't have capacity to fix my shoes then it would be better to be honest about it rather than cancel for spurious reasons.
The £80 repair started to come apart within two weeks. I raised this as an issue on 23.11.24 and they said they'll get back to me soon. I've not chased five times and they have not got back to me since. It's been nearly a month since I raised the complaint and they have ignored all emails in the last three weeks.
Utterly terrible customer service, I am nearly a month waiting for a phone call and a resolution to the issue of buying and returning two pairs of faulty boots where the sole came away from the main shoe within one wear each. Having bough Vivo before I hoped this would be a good experience but I don't think I have ever had such consistently bad service.
I've been wearing vivo shoes for around 17 years or so. I bought my first pair from a Terra Plana store in Brighton, and for many years they have been the only brand I and my family wear.
I had a vegan Scott boot that had developed a hole in the heal of the left foot (it happens to all my shoes) and I finally decided after a couple of years to get it fixed.
I was nervous given the negative reviews and horror stories that some reviewers have had, but I took the plunge and paid for the full upgrade at £80. I did this mid-November, got a mail confirming receipt by the boot repair company on 22 Nov and received them on 4th December. Really quick, no hassle, and it's great to have these old boots back in great condition. I have other pairs I'll send in and will leave a review after each future experience.
