If I could give this company zero stars I absolutely would and since there is not a way to write a review on their website, it's now my life's mission to write a horrid review for this company on every review site I come across. We bought our house in February of 2024, June 2024 comes around and we have a leak due to busted pipes in our walls. They straight up ignored us for a majority of this time or sent emails saying they would "follow up" and never did. We spent months of our time and energy, our realtor's energy, etc to get this resolved while not having a working toilet on the main floors. They ended up denying the claim saying this should have been caught in the initial inspection.. so the inspector is supposed to rip open the walls I'm assuming? Anyways, they paid us out $500 on over $4,000 worth of work and I'm assuming this is just to shut us up. So yes, this company is a scam and illegitimate. Please don't use them.

Absolutely abysmal experience. I spent three months requesting service over my request, all for them to deny coverage for illegitimate reasons, which had been corrected in the second inspection. I sent them this and all other related proofs.

I called over a dozen times, wrote them another half dozen times with no clear ownership or response.

A total farse of a company. A scam.

We have had RWS since we moved over 4 years ago and haven't really had much to complain about until our washer was going out the week of 11-13-2023. Service tech came on 11-20-2023 and washer had bad transmission clutch so he proceeded to call RWS to find out if they would pay for repair which would have been 800.plus so RWS said they would do a buy out for 400.00 and checks go out on Friday's. I reminded her of Thanksgiving and then she said if not Friday it will go out on Monday 11-27-2023. As of today we have not received a check 12-4-2023.
I called to find out if it was mailed and I was told that there has been no determination date yet and until then no check will be mailed and it takes up to 30 days for processing! REALLY! We already had someone pick up washer & dryer since we had to replace washer as they are aged anyway so as of now we are out 400.00 until we receive a check. This has never happened before and we just had our water heater replaced and that wasn't an issue. When did the rules change and why would I be told different information if that was false!

I’ve called several times for things with our home they say are covered. None of them have been repaired and I’ve had to pay someone else out of pocket. I have the top tier service they offer. This time, our well pump went out 4 days ago shortly after I left for a business trip. My wife/family is home alone with no water. They know this and after multiple calls have us on their “expedited/emergency” designation. Still, 4 days no call back, no water. A couple of months ago our upstairs toilet pipe leaked and it was “raining” in our dining room. Called them in a panic and was told to call someone else since it’s an emergency. Also, they would not cover the bill since I didn’t use them. Don’t waste your money with them. Oh, and our Realtor/Mortgage company gets a commission for selling it to us so don’t trust what they tell you. You’ve been warned so if you use this company, you have no one to blame but yourself.

If this company isn't an outright scam, they're something very close to it. They take at least two weeks to respond, however you get ahold of them. Emails, calls, whatever. They simply do not get back to you, and hope you forgot or lost interest. It seems like a family business because there are only two people who seem to work there, both are equally obstructionist.

Whatever documentation or paperwork you send them they will pretend it says something it doesn't and deny you. I submitted over six claims the first year in my house, some were denied and some were simply ignored; they would not answer inquiries or even pretend they exist.

As an example, the house came with a gas water heater. The exterior piping and gas fittings were corroded and needed replaced, AWS denied it and said it was due to improper installation. I had the plumber write a narrative of his repair to describe the problem; it was old, not installed incorrectly. AWS denied it again, word-for-word, and said the bad installation was identified in the inspection (it wasn't). They simply made things up to get a denial; pictures, estimates, etc. were ignored to avoid paying out.

This is the absolute worst company to deal with, don't walk away from these people, run.

Absolutely horrendous customer service and a joke to claim they’re a warranty company. Why? Because their “warranty” is useless. First claim: we have two refrigerators and both ice makers went out within a month of purchasing our home. Their repair person said it wasn’t repairable. Recommended replacement. Received maybe 1/16 the cost it would be to replace. And that was only because we doggedly requested resolution. Basically they sent us a check to shut us up. Second claim: HVAC unit died. It was supposedly covered. Sent RWC all the information they requested on repair company letterhead no less than 6 times. Each time we asked, it was something new they wanted. Not sure if it was presented in a way that they couldn’t understand or if they simply were kicking the can down the road. That was in May 2022. It’s now almost October and our claim is “still in review.” I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB and my state Attorney General’s Office for breach of contract.

And they had the audacity to send us an email encouraging us to renew. Hard pass.

Realtors are always looking for companies to refer our clients. This is my 4 claim on my home and only the first claim was completed. The 2nd claim was for my dishwasher and the tech came,took my service call fee and haven't heard back and is unreachable. The 3rd claim was the replacement of the fan motor for the ac condensor where I used my repair man in July and still no closure. The 4th was on another property with a faulty ac coil and used my repairman and this claim hasn't been taken care off. I now have a dryer issue and dont' know if I need to bother.I cant get a person on the phone.

This warranty company is extremely worthless! You would just waste time, effort, and energy trying to justify your claim. They didn't have any seeet of SOPs for situations they should have prepared for. Their customer service was absolutely the worst! They didn't know how to talk to people professionally. I've never talked to such rude customer service representatives than them. Beware of this company and don't waste your energy arguing with people who don't have the willingness to help you and be fair with their business.
