I give only one star due to dishonest brokering. Yes, wonderful staff, but does this ultimately matter when there is something surreptitiously happening behind the black and white? BTW, they also claim one can't cancel policy. In what insurance world can't one cancel a service?

So far the service from Regency staff has been excellent..

I would strongly advise anyone, especially older individuals, to carefully consider whether this type of insurance provides real value.

In my case, I took out the policy in good faith and had no knowledge, diagnosis, or symptoms of the condition in question at the start of the policy.

After the policy had begun, I developed new neurological symptoms (walking difficulties and urinary issues), which led to medical investigations, including an MRI and specialist consultation. The diagnosis was a spinal condition at a different level than a surgery I had undergone more than 10 years earlier.

A neurosurgeon clearly stated that the current condition was not directly related to the previous surgery.

Despite this, all claims – including the initial diagnostic procedures (MRI and consultation) – were rejected. The reasoning was that the condition is part of a “degenerative process” and therefore considered pre-existing, even though there had been no prior symptoms, diagnosis, or indication.

This effectively means that many conditions which develop gradually over time can be excluded from coverage, regardless of whether they were known or clinically relevant at the time the policy was taken out.

In practice, this raises serious concerns about the usefulness of such insurance, particularly for older customers. If conditions can retrospectively be classified as pre-existing, the actual coverage may be far more limited than expected.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this insurance.

Eu paguei o valor total da minha health Insurance no momento que eu fiz o contrato, e quando precisei 1 vez durante um ano de contrato que eu tinha, eles recusaram de pagar, pediram vários documentos e foi lhe enviado todos os documentos, o motivo da recusa foi que que o diagnóstico não foi o suficiente assim respondeu o funcionário que me atendeu. Paguei o valor total de USS 923.08. Para que outras pessoas não caiam nessa cilada estou informando aqui, pois além de ter pago o seguro agora tenho que pagar a fatura do Hospital.
