I've recently sold a property through Reeds Rains Estate Agent Catford branch, the estate agent I felt with was a lovely lady named Tara. Our sale had a lot of ups and downs and it took a little while for us to get to complete the sale. If it hadn't been Tara and her attention to detail, excellent communication, professionalism, and support during the sale my wife and I might have just pulled out. Tara and her work ethnic is the only reason we stayed and because of that we have now completed a sale on a second and third property. Should we ever need any help or just to ask a question Tara was always there and for that we are both extremely grateful for everything she did, truly she went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we understood what was happening, but most of all, that we were happy. I would definitely recommend Reeds Rains and Tara to friends and f family if they ever need to sell or purchase a property. BIG THANK YOU from me and my wife, great job.

Had a valuation from the Rothwell branch a complete joke as there was no similar houses to compare and it was meant to have dropped in value by 25k ! Had to chase up and call in the branch and still no further forward with an accurate valuation would not recommend

Reeds Rains at Guisborough are super efficient, friendly and kind. If they say they will do something you can totally rely on it being done. All their staff are great and so it is perhaps wrong to pick anyone out, but Cathy is extraordinarily efficient and very kind as well as having a charming manner and a realistic attitude to the complications that inevitably arise particularly with period houses.

If you’re looking to buy a house, do not go with this company, will happily show you around houses that are sold subject to contract without stating that before hand, cancel viewings at the last minute, know nothing about the houses you are viewing and just generally provide poor customer service.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Reed Rains Melanie Burgess the branch manager at Cheadle Manchester during my property purchase, particularly the way my concerns were handled by Melanie Burgess.

I purchased a property through this agency and have been trying to obtain clear information regarding ongoing tenant issues and the expected vacant possession date. Last month, I was informed that the tenants would have moved out, but I am now being told this may not happen until July. As a buyer making a significant financial commitment, I believe it is reasonable to expect accurate information, transparency and updates.

Unfortunately, communication throughout this process has been extremely poor. I have had to make numerous calls to chase updates, as there has been little to no proactive communication from the branch especially from Melanie. Different members of staff have provided conflicting information, leaving me confused and concerned about the status of the property. There also appears to be a lack of communication between the branch, the estate agents, and the parties involved in resolving the tenancy issue.

However, my biggest concern is the conduct of Melanie Burgess, the Branch Manager. When I contacted the branch seeking clarification and expressing legitimate concerns about a property I am in the process of purchasing, I was met with an attitude that I found dismissive, rude, aggressive and completely unprofessional. Rather than listening to my concerns or attempting to provide reassurance, she repeatedly interrupted me, spoke over me, and failed to address the questions I was asking and hanging up my call when I was speaking to her is extremely concerning, unprofessional and upsetting.

Most concerning of all, Melanie abruptly ended the conversation by simply raising her voice and saying “bye” and hanging up the phone while I was speaking to her about my concern. I have never experienced such behaviour from a manager in any customer-facing role. As someone in a leadership position, I would expect a far higher standard of professionalism and customer care, particularly when dealing with a customer who is understandably concerned about one of the biggest financial commitments and a update on the property they have purchased.

What made the situation even more frustrating was the apparent lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging my concerns or attempting to resolve them, I was left feeling dismissed and ignored. I contacted Melanie simply seeking an update and some clarity regarding a situation that has changed multiple times. At no point was I being unreasonable; I was asking for information that any purchaser would reasonably expect to receive.

The way I was spoken to, repeatedly interrupted, and then abruptly cut off during the conversation was unacceptable. No customer should be made to feel that their concerns are an inconvenience, especially when they are investing a substantial amount of money into a property being sold through your agency. Such behaviour falls far below the standards I would expect from any member of staff, let alone a Branch Manager whose role is to lead by example and ensure customers are treated with respect.

Buying a property is a beautiful time and also can be stressful, customers deserve honesty, clear communication, and professionalism throughout. Unfortunately, my experience with Melanie Burgess the branch manager at Reeds Rains Cheadle estate agents has been horrific and left me as a customer shaken by how rude aggressive and dismissive an extremely unprofessional the overall handling of this matter has left me with very little confidence in the branch. I sincerely hope senior management reviews this and how customer concerns are handled and takes steps to improve both communication and professionalism, as no customer should be treated in the manner that I was. Extremely upset as a customer and the service provided from a branch manager Melanie Burgess.

Really bad when it comes to refund your deposits, be careful guys!
When the time for deposit refund comes, they will act like they don't know you.

Horrible, verbally abusive behaviour from the lettings team at the Catford Branch - avoid if you are a prospective tenant.

Offer was accepted on a rental property, and I had the gall to ask if my partner could have the opportunity to view before we put in the holding deposit - but I stressed this was not a deal breaker. What I got in return was a stream of verbal abuse from Maurice, shouting at me for having the audacity to ask if this could be on the cards. He would not relent, even when I asked for the information about the holding deposit to be sent over regardless. Alas this was not done, and instead I had to follow up independently to chase this information - to find out the flat had been offered to someone else and accepted.

I used to believe that lettings agents could either be cruel or stupid, but now I've come to the realisation they can be both.

Used Reeds Rains @ ballyhackamore first class service from Martin the most relaxed house selling experience from start to finish. Very professional in all dealing would highly recommend this estate agent.

We have been dealing with Laura Jayne from the Newcastle office, she has kept us informed every step of the way through our purchase. She has answered every call and replied to every email and contacted us whenever there was news to be relayed or a question we needed answering. She has done this with complete professionalism and friendliness, and we have not even met her yet, she has been such a delight to deal with and we cannot wait to meet her to collect our keys and start a new chapter in our life She is an absolute credit to Reeds Rains. I used Reeds Rains initially to manage a rental and then to sell the property. I highly recommend them. They are professional but welcoming, nothing is ever too much. We can highly recommend Reed Rains Kennington to sell your property. It was a difficult decision to sell my mother’s house, and they supported us throughout. They kept us informed at every stage of the process and gave good advice when needed.

Reeds rains have been excellent throughout this process of buying my property, very understanding and patient especially when I needed to see the property 3 times before making an offer, if I ever sell this property I will definitely 100% use reeds rains….

Reeds Rains in Yardley is an excellent company to deal with. Viewings are conducted without any rush. The staff are really polite and answered all questions. The agents really made the buying process very pleasant. A big thank you to the whole team at Reeds Rains Yardley.

Reeds rain.. cowboy company that cannot be trusted. Very quick to make things happen when it suits them yet takes incredible amount of time getting through and dealing with issues. One thing after another.. blame landlord or blame letting agency for being slow? Boiler been out several months, once it was ‘fixed’ after returning 3 times to resolve the issue it then turned into a fire hazard and the best they can do is constantly delay it and avoid the matter. Everyday since I have moved into this apartment has caused me nothing but problems, problems they should’ve dealt with prior to moving in.. forcing me to deal with it and go out my way costing me my time, job and peace. Would not recommend. Lucky I still have a roof over my head for 2 stars.
