terrible experience ordering from them online. it was shipped from aus instead of nz which i wasn’t expecting. they use aramex which is a red flag in itself. my order never arrived but tracking said it was delivered (to the wrong country). i asked them to see what was going on, they said they did but i didn’t hear back. i reached out again, no response. all i want is a refund and it feels like im being dodged after weeks of waiting
bad customer service
I have ordered a pair of shoes but they didn't fit well, so I have sent them back to get them exchanged for the right size. Unfortunately they did sent me the wrong size (not the size I have requested), so I needed to sent those ones back as well. I went into the store in Silverdale, but they couldn't help me either because they haven't had the size I requested. I rang the support team about the situation and they told me that I can't get the right size exchanged and they will refund me. After I told her, that I don't want a refund but the right size shoes, the lady created a NEW order for me and kindly gave me the discount of what I have paid in the first place (for a new order!).
A week later I was still waiting for the refund, so I have called again. A different lady then told me that the shoes in the right size will be on their way the next day for $22 less than the discount I have paid. So I told her the story and asked her why I now can get the shoes for even less money than what I paid and why I needed to place a new order, if they could've sent them to me in the first place. She didn't answer this questions and tried to cut me off saying that the refund went through. At that point I got grumpy and asked her if she actually listened to what I have said and she replied again that the refund went through.
So disappointed. Not just because I could have saved another $22, but also no one was actually listening to what I have said and what I as a customer wanted.
Horrible service
I placed two online orders (six pairs of shoes) and three arrived with major issues. I’ve had to organise multiple returns, follow up several times, and have now been without two pairs for over two weeks with no clear resolution.
One pair even arrived with a security tag still attached, meaning I’m expected to travel in-store to fix it — completely defeating the purpose of ordering online.
Customer service has been slow and unhelpful, and the compensation offered was frankly insulting given the time, inconvenience, and lack of quality control. Very disappointing overall experience.

While the online purchasing is as intended, Their delivery and subsequent wrong size due to NOT READING THE ORDER CORRECTLY has made the whole experience time wasting and very frustrating. Online chat bot useless and trying to chat with a real human non existant. CRAP ONLINE SERVICE ALL ROUND!!!!

Ordered shoes online. Revieved them quickly but they were wrong size. Contacted them to organise a refund etc.
Only mistake I did was sending them back on my own courier at my own cost to the address they provided. I had all reference numbers attached and everything the sent me printed and in the box with the shoes.
Now they won't reply or credit me...its been 2 months and its absolutely ridiculous and terrible service. I have proof of delivery and everything
Poor online order communications
I ordered an item online for almost $4000. Payment went through immediately. Order receipt received by e-mail with order number within 15 minutes with a tracking link. So far so good. I checked the next day and their website said I had not made an online order. Okay not good but it was a Sunday. 3 days later I logged in on-line to check delivery and it said I had not ordered anything online again. Refreshed and checked again and nothing. Checked e-mail to track order and it sent me to the same page, except it said processing, nothing more. A day later no change. Contacted the company online and asked several questions and their response is that I have to wait 3-5 days for a response. However I got a link to chat to an agent. I tried that link and it didn't work. A day later and no progress, another day and the order has been despatched and deliver expected 9 days after order placed. I like the stores, they have good products and prices but their online retail service needs a shake up. Far from the best.

Shout out to Rebel Sport! I ordered something online, under delivery instructions I put please write 'Merry Christmas Love Nana' on the box. They did that, in Christmas colours, drew a little picture, added a heart at the bottom of the exclamation mark. Went above and beyond, when I thought it was a long shot to even ask.
Terrible customer service at The Baae Hamilton
I went to Rebel Sport at The Base in Hamilton to buy some shoes. The service was terrible! I was ignored by everyone and when I could find what I was looking for I asked a young man for help. I had picture of the shoes I wanted on my phone so I showed him and asked where can I find these? He took me to them without a word and then just left me to it. I tried the shoes on but decided I wasn’t giving my business to a place that couldn’t be bothered with engaging with their customers. I bought the shoes elsewhere.

Bought an item in Rebel Sport online during Black Friday and my order got cancelled without prior notice after three days. Got refunded as I was using a Rebel Sport voucher, called their customer service and they would honor the price on another item of different color but they don't accept vouchers online, I had to pay using a card. On-site stores are not very helpful either as they don't deal with online orders.

I had some issues with paying for a jacket which was on sale using apple pay, as the money had been taken out of my account but payment was showing declined on their end. They were extremely helpful and their customer service team was on the phone quickly with a short wait-time they then emailed me within an hour to say my refund would be processed in 3-5 business days and i ordered again using my card this time which went straight through. Their customer service was outstanding and i’m very pleased with the outcome.

Hornby Rebel sport are without a doubt the worst Rebel sport to deal with.
Staff do not have any knowledge of products on offer. They are very obvious that they dont want to be there and couldnt care less.
It starts at the top and the manager would have the personality of a lettuce.
I have never written a review like this before, i even waited a couple of days so I wasn't angry anymore. On searching online you can get a better deal with Amazon. Will not be back.

I placed an online order on the Rebel Sport NZ website from Auckland and it was automatically sent to the Whangarei store to fulfil as I presume there was no stock available in Auckland.
I received this email: Your Rebel
Whangarei (Web) delivery is on its way.
I received my online order today from the Whangarei store and I am very disappointed to find that the shoes have arrived in poor condition. There was no tissue paper inside the shoes or box, no tags attached, and they show clear signs of wear. Including, visible creasing, hair inside, messy laces, and peeling or detached stickers.
It is clear the shoes were not sent in a new, saleable condition. I expected to receive a brand new product, as is standard when ordering online, but unfortunately, this is not the case. Due to hygiene concerns, I am unable to try on the shoes or wear them.
Additionally, the T-shirt I ordered was placed inside the shoe box, and the fabric does not match the description on your website. It was advertised as 75% Cotton, 25% Recycled Cotton, but the T-shirt I received contains Polyester, which I cannot wear due to a skin allergy to synthetic materials.

If you do not have sufficient stock on your online store, you should not advertise the product as in stock online, as it will be sent to one of your stores to fulfil where staff will carelessly send whatever they can regardless of whether the product is in satisfactory condition or not. No attempt was made at making the shoes look even somewhat presentable in the box, such as removing the hair, tidying the laces and detached stickers. It looks like the shoes were thrown into the box and sent to me. These are not clearance products either so I expect better.
Due to this experience, to avoid this issue, I will not be ordering from Rebel Sport NZ again.
