This was the first visit to the Readywise website. Interesting site with a lot of useful information and a good range ‘just in case’ food. I’m still deciding which of the food to try but I have been told that it tastes good by a friend and should store well.

Didn't taste very nice
The delivery was quick however didn't really like the taste. Had the chilli macaroni. In fact it made me quite nauseous. I also thought it was quite expensive even though I understand your also paying for the shelf life. Going to continue to buy MREs for camping and storing
UPDATE. After leaving this review Readywise kindly refunded my money without me asking for it. Excellent Customer Service

Well packed but best before is 18 years, not 25
Well packed in a robust plastic bucket and delivered to schedule without drama. The cost per meal equates to very favourably to individual survival meals but, as I haven’t opened it yet I can’t comment on the taste.
4 stars rather than 5 because it prominently advertises “up to 25 years shelf life” while mine, packed in early 2025, has a best before date of 31/12/2042, less than 18 years. The practical effect of this is debatable , but when its bought as part of a rolling program your replacement interval is not as long as you’d planned for.

I think the UK warehouse simply forgot to add the correct “Best Before Date” of 31/12/2050.
Thanks for your feedback, this has now been corrected.
Also, open a pouch inside the bucket and try it out - it’s also tasty and convenient.

Didn't expect the servings to be like 4…
Didn't expect the servings to be like 4 in a packet.
We separated portions to so we didn't cook the entire packet. It was difficult to find the oxygen packets on the inside without doing this.
When we came to have the last of the cinnamon breakfast, it was just a soup as we had use all the oats previously.
We also found it easier to cook in a hob which if you have access to hot water, you will also have access to a pan of boiling water which means a packet of super noodles would have been a cheaper and taster meal.

We have tested differenct serving sizes but most of our custmers asked us keep it at 4. The oxygen absorber keeps the unopened pouch fresh for up to 25 years.
