It was very seamless and easy great service
I have never experienced this level of poor service ever. The agents working there have no idea what actual customer service looks like. I called in 3 days ago, as a first time client and ordered a router and paid the pro rata. Then the nightmare began.
I got a WhatsApp message from a courier saying he is delivering the router. He never pitched, did not respond to my messages. When I contacted the courier company, they were unable to verify if he works for them. Contacted Rain and got the runaround. Nobody got back to me regarding the fact that my personal details were given out to an unverified 3rd party. Managers don't call back. Saga continues..... even now that I've cancelled the order, the same unverified courier is trying to deliver the router.
Rain WiFi might have an excellent product but their customer service is the poorest I have ever received.

This is my first tim using Rain, i bought the new Rain loop that is advertised everywhere.
Booked for the device to be delivered last week, i only got it today.
Plugged it in and it kept restarting.
Phoned customer care, incompetent person answered the phone.
Let me elaborate, I am told to change settings on the device, it keeps restarting I have never even been on the device.
Needless to say I had horrible service from the start.
Firstly poor planning from the shipping company to fail to comply with the scheduled delivery date. Do not give an option to book when you want it delivered if you cannot offer that service.
Next point is the fact that I am given a faulty device, I have never even used the device and received it in a non working condition.
Last point I phone the number provided to speak to an agent who cannot even listen to what is wrong as their line is so bad it keeps giving me white noise every few seconds. This is very poor for an internet provider not to have reliable internet to talk to someone who is upset.
Does not listen to my complaints, not sure if they just don't have the answers or do not understand english.
To top it all off i ask to speak to a manager, the response “ I’m sorry, we do not have a manager scheduled at this time…”
Not sure if you are understaffed or just not managed correctly.
This is horrible, worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company.
Just as a side note, I never complain.
For me to be willing to complain you should know I even see it as worth my time to waste to complain only to hope someone else reads this before being met with incompetence.

The. Worst. WiFi.
I cannot stress how bad RAIN is. We spend R500 on RAIN and half the time it's so slow that I can't even open up Google and the other half its completely off. The Company is failing and I'm glad🙏 scamming people out of they're money and thinking they're "the best WiFi" they should wake up

It is the shttiest internet in South Africa, you with a 101pro modem, and 96% signal and R1200 tossed away u get 20 download, 2 upload. You face constant disconnections, and inconsistent internet, especially when streaming or gaming via seacom. I have never been happier ordering a 500 down and 250 up line for the same price fibre from coolideas. Rain is not worth it, and its getting worse because their servers are clustered full off people and they dont upgrade. I will never ever use Rain internet again, and please dont be stupid like me where u toss away 1200 every month for less than bare minimum. Theres internet providers that dont do credit scores, like coolideas, consider using a fibre ISP. I cant even stream netflix on 1k pixels. You are warned.

Just need to inform others before they get scammed as well. We have been Going back and forth and in circles with rain since the first right after they took their payment rain South Africa isn't providing the service that we paid for and when requesting help all we get is move the router reboot the router then some cocky responds cause we are fed up of doing their job. We requested a refund and for them to come collect the device cause its useless but they just keep going in circles and making it our problem. So if you are looking for wifi do not go for rain you will not get what you are paying for they will make you out to be the problem and you will be throwing your money in the water. FYI they are also saying they don't guarantee a good upload speed which then just confirms they are trying to scam people out of their money we are currently paying R650 for a 25mps download speed sometimes less and a 1-3 mbps download speed and according to them that is sufficient!

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Their support team is not at all helpful, my signal is always dipping and my wifi never works properly. It is the worst wifi provider ever and truly they do not care at all about their customers or customer experience. What a complete waste of money.

Disappointing all round. Leila the robot is programmed to chase you round the mulberry bush and the technical department is trained to revert you back to the same bush. Waiting for a refund of funds deducted after cancellation (seriously note this if you are wanting to sign up with them). Have an open case with my card division and waiting for 'support escalation' to contact me. Will update if and when anything changes

I have been trying to get a billing issue sorted out since 13 March and until now, there's nothing. I am R2300 down and apparently still have an outstanding amount
The Philippines agent could not answer any of my questions, refused to escalate the matter for me, put a call back request that I haven't received and the Whatsapp chat is no better, you keep chatting with AI that feeds you generic statements and offers to log you a ticket; which never gets attended to, I have 2 that no one has ever gotten back to me about, 45058180 from March 13 and 45742442 from 01 April.
I just need someone to explain what service was I billed for when I wasn't getting it and send me a copy of my agreement with Rain over email. My Internet was not limited, it was no provided at all. And I want my money back please.

The obsulte worse service ever, im not even with rain, someone used my account to pay the bill and now rain deducted every month from my account, I've called in about a hundred and ten times and no one is able to help because the lady the account is under, her account is in arrears and she can't access the domain, so apparently theres nothing that they can do, but let my account be charged on her behalf. Fkin worse service ever, how can you not take my ID and remove my account as it clearly does not match the rain account holders...
0673414458 call at 2pm , only if you going to remove the debit order from my account, if you not gonna remove it don't call me to waste my damn time

Worst customer service. The amount of times I got double billed and nothing comes of it.
I'm unable to even use my Internet between 18:00-22:00 due to no service. Those are the times I'm actually at home and need it!!!

I've been struggling with network since Friday late and spoke to 5 urgent and all of them they said my matter is escalate to technical team still waiting until now😭 My heart is broken I've been with rain for 4 years and I've never experienced this but this time is struggle

I have been happily using Rain for the past 4 years but now, all suddenly my network is facing critical high latency and package loss so using the internet is no longer optimal for gaming or working from home.
I call Rain Support, 0816101000, and requested assistance to troubleshoot and resolve this inconvience.
3 days' worth of troubleshooting(from Friday till today) and still unresolved. I have been told, as long as I see download speed over 50Mbps (download) and 5 Mbps (upload) the network is working fine from their side even though my latency is over 1000 ping.
Basically, there is nothing else they can do to assist me further. Very disappointed with the service and will be moving to an ISP that can actually fix Network problems.

I have been told by 3 engineers that they have "fixed the issue" by restarting the router and confirming my device is connected to the correct tower.
I understand this is troubleshooting steps, but they all tried the same steps and didn't raise it internally as the issue is still persisting with constant package loss and high latency.
