Dismal service. A simple zip repair took weeks and isnt correct. This was a Mythic G top of the range duvet. I dont climb i wear it back and fore the gym. I maybe wore it 12 times and the zip broke. On inspection the sewing is rubbish. Please dont waste money on this dross. My uniqlo duvet is so much warmer and better made. It was 400 quid cheaper

The gear of rab is of exceptional quality with just the right price tag. I ordered myself a Neutrino Pro in black and after going fishing I had a nasty hole in it. The rab repair service repaired my jacket for 30€ perfectly. You can’t even tell it had a hole before, I’m more than happy!!!

It’s my favorite brand. The quality is exceptional. The sleeve seams do not protrude into the sleeve to irritate skin with exposed stitching, instead the seam is pulled into and inside the insulated fabric meaning the sleeves feel smooth and comfortable. I have autism with significant sensory issues and my skin is extremely sensitive to irritating fabrics or exposed stitching. I own three jackets — light, medium and heavy weight jackets.

The fact that the logos peel off is irritating. They used to be stitched. There have definitely been some cost saving measures over the years but the prices for a high-end jacket have remained reasonable. They are still fully featured jackets. I personally won’t buy any other brand. I’m hooked. However, I wish they had more bonkers color combos like a RAB I used to have. It was cobalt blue with a lime green interior. They need to go back to that.

Anyway, I think you’ll be happy with your purchase. RAB is great in all the right places.

Firstly,

I paid premium to guarantee next day delivery. This never happened. When I complained I was connected to a representative called “Rob” who promised my order would be delivered without delay the following day. It wasn’t. He also gave me a discount code as a means of apology- the code doesn’t work. I was also never compensated for the WEEK delay on my order. When asked “how they did?” I left an honest review and mentioned I was not refunded my delivery costs, the jacket hadn’t arrived for over a week and the “good gesture” voucher was invalid. - this when Rab decided to ghost me and never responded. Despite threats I would use my business partners LARGE social media following to highlight this issue they decided to ignore me. Personally I despise social media but shining light on incompetence and lack of respect for consumers is the only shining light.

The jacket. Brilliant.

However, I will NEVER purchase Rab again. Yet another British owned company cutting corners , hiring DPD courtiers - notoriously awful and lacking all respect for their customers.

I have about half a dozen exhibits of evidence to back my claims. I’ve even pursued an apology so without any result I found myself coming to trust pilot to air my grievance.

Terrible customer experience- zero support - no doubt when this company sinks it’ll be all over BBC News the downfall of ANOTHER British owned brand.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rab Xenair Alpine Light Insulated Jacket – Punches Well Above Its Weight

Some jackets look good on paper, but this one genuinely delivers. The Rab Xenair Alpine Light is a jacket that punches well above its level and has become my absolute go to.

The PrimaLoft insulation does a fantastic job of keeping you warm without adding unnecessary bulk, making it a brilliant balance of warmth, comfort and versatility. It’s the sort of jacket you reach for without even thinking twice because you know it’s going to do the job.

What I particularly like is how adaptable it is. It feels completely at home in the mountains, where performance and reliable insulation matter, but it’s equally suited to those early morning walks with the dog. It’s comfortable, practical and versatile enough to earn its place in your everyday outdoor kit.

For me, that’s the real test of a good piece of outdoor clothing: it’s not just something you wear for a specific activity; it becomes something you rely on day in, day out.

The verdict: A superb all rounder that delivers far more than you might expect. Warm, lightweight, versatile and genuinely useful across a range of conditions.

Five stars from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you’re looking for an insulated jacket that can handle mountain adventures just as comfortably as everyday dog walks, this one deserves serious consideration. Rab has got this one right.

Sent my trusty Downpour jacket back for a warranty review and honestly didn't expect a positive outcome. I was delighted to be proved wrong when Rab agreed to replace it. The communication throughout was great and my experience means I wouldn't hesitate to add another Rab item to my outdoor clothing collection.

Sent a jacket for 2 zip repairs. Turnaround was very quick and item was returned with "like new" repairs and a hefty refund over suggested cost. Really happy with Rabs after sales repair.

Sent a jacket to be repaired, paid the 10 pounds for postage for it. Jacket came back and pocket zipper had not been repaired. Honestly - should have purchased Patagonia.

Not only do Rab provide some of the best outdoor clothing on the market, their customer service is the best I have encountered. Super quick reply's, a real person from Rab picks up the phone when you call them and any problems with delivery gets resolved very quickly. Very happy with Rabs products and services, would highly recommend to anyone.

Just looked online at RAB jackets.
Seems madness they have ruined them all by putting on really large collars that is so out of sync with the rest of the jacket size! ...... and bulbous hoods as well

Its a shame, will shop / buy elsewhere

great jackets love them

I booked a wash for my down coat and needed a fast turn. The coat was returned to me - like a brand new coat - within a matter of days. I had mentioned that I was needing it for a trip a way and I got a text from someone at Rab saying they had fitted into the last wash and would get it dried and back asap.

Excellent service, fantastic communication and customer care....and a great wash too - can't get a down coat returned to this in a domestic washer and dryer. Very pleased.

I don't know who built their website but it's completely broken. I search for "Mens force tee" see results after half a minute, click one, and then one of two things happens: 1) nothing 2) the main landing page shows. Do they have some kind of ad package running in the background that is failing to load and prevents page load? It's absolutely terrible - the website is functionally unusable. Which is a shame because I love their products. This is in Chrome as well as Safari on Mac OS. We're talking 35 second page load times, or even in-page component load likes updating shipping address.

I bought a yellow & black down jacket for £175, and after wearing it a few times I realised how dirty it looked. Actually, it wasn't dirty, but it was the dark down showing through the yellow.
I contacted Rab customer service, and the communication was really good, and we agreed it was probably a design fault as the down doesn't show on darker colours.
I don't wear the jacket now because it looks dirty and will have to start saving for a similar jacket, but not Rab.
I hope they advise customers in future.

A defect on my Lowe Alpine backpack was judged as a manufacturing fault without any hassle, which allowed me to buy a new backpack (RAB!). Two defects on jackets were resolved free of charge, and a broken zipper after 4 years of use was replaced for only €10. My Rab jacket became faulty, so I sent it in for repair. Because I needed it back urgently, I emailed customer service to ask if the process could be expedited.

The response was incredibly prompt. On the exact same day my faulty jacket arrived at their facility, they assessed it and informed me it could not be repaired. Instead, they immediately arranged a brand-new replacement.

Dave provided regular updates throughout the entire process and was exceptionally helpful. I now have my new jacket and will absolutely continue to buy Rab products. Fantastic service!
