Really helpful in the whole process…

Really helpful in the whole process from start to finish.
They sent out a gentleman to survey my biomass system and after finding out it was wrongly sized and installed their report said beyond economical repair.
Barclays have since made a payment which covers my new gas boiler.
They phoned and kept me informed routinely to progress and any other questions or queries They had.
Looking forward to moving away from a horrible biomass system (nibe) and now my village has mains gas getting it installed.

Tracy was helpful

Tracy was helpful, patient and supportive throughout my conversations with her.
She helped me through the whole process despite the fact I was away from home and had difficulty accessing the required documentation.

Thread with care

Tracy Dilworth, employed by QASSS has been anything but a mediator, which apparently is her job tittle. A customer complaint ended up at QASSS. Although we were in a mediation process, it ended up with her acting like an arbitrator where she decided to make a “ ruling ”, and after we redraw from the process, she carried on communicating and advising with our customer, which we find very unprofessional and deeply worrying.

I would also mention, court procedures were already under way when the customer made the complaint to FMB which passed it on to QASSS; Tracy Dilworth has been made aware of this at the time, and according to FMB’s own procedures she shouldn’t have proceeded with this “pretend” mediation.

Dear Tracy Dilworth, just to let you know, we do have an actual ruling, by an actual judge and it was in our favor, and included the whole amount not paid by the customer together with over £1k in expenses.

Not impartial

Not impartial. Best to avoid.
I contacted the Federation of Master Builders as the work carried out by one of their members was very much substandard and I was charged extortionate rates for materials supplied e.g. £267.73 + VAT for two sheets of plywood 2440x1220x18mm.
I was referred to QASSS. I supplied all the information requested by QASSS without delay; copies of documents, emails, photos, videos... After two an a half months, my case was referred to a more senior negotiator. She was very intimidating and very unpleasant. I can only say the telephone conversations I had with her were horrendous and definitely not what you call 'impartial mediation'.
I was informed, all the evidence I had provided, upon their request, was opinion based and therefore couldn't be taken into account for the mediation to progress. A report from a quantity surveyor was needed. I was given a couple of days time to appoint a QS. I did apppoint a QS. The QS report clearly states the works are substandard. This report was rejected by the contractor as I had appointed a QS without their consent. QASSS did not tell me, the appointment of a QS had to be agreed by the contractor.

Unhelpful, condescending and certainly not impartial

I was referred to this company by the federation of master builders after I went to them after being dreadfully let down by a builder from their website.
I was contacted by a senior mediator.All our communications were nothing but delaying tactics. I have never dealt with someone so condescending and unhelpful and she’s supposed to be an independent mediator

It is unfortunate we had to close the case at QASSS due to the lack of tangible evidence provided regarding the disputed works. This decision was based on your explicit statement during the last triage, where you clearly expressed your desire to discontinue the process.

During our initial call, our team informed you that we could arrange an Independent Inspection. However, it was emphasised that this could only be done once we had a clear understanding of the dispute and the workmanship issues we were mediating. Unfortunately, you were unable to provide the necessary information and subsequently chose to exit the process, which prevented the Independent Inspection from taking place. As a result of the lack of evidence and your disengagement, we were unable to make any further progress on this case at QASSS.

We kindly request that you reconsider the comments made about our colleagues in your review. They are individuals who are diligently performing their job responsibilities and striving to support both parties in finding a resolution. We would appreciate it if you could remove their names from your review. If this matter cannot be resolved amicably, we may need to explore more formal means of resolution. We understand your frustration; however, we cannot accept the use of derogatory language against our colleagues, whom you have named.

Waste of time.. literally.

I was referred to this company after my boiler installers caused damage to the worktop in kitchen. The 'investigation' was limited and over and closed within a week. They said I have to provide proof that the worktop wasn't damaged beforehand!!
They where no help what so ever and tbh quite condescending, what a waste of time! I've now got to live with a worktop that is damaged.

This is a company I was referred to by…

This is a company I was referred to by iHeat after they installed a boiler which I said had leaked and they said hadn't. Ostensibly the idea was that they are independant and would mediate a resolution. This was not my experience. I found they asked the same questions over and over again and it became very apparent this was s delaying tactic, perhaps to dissuade time-poor claims for relatively small amounts. I write this with the idea that if anyone else experiences a similar set of circumstances then perhaps a complaint to the CTSI is needed (I have written to them in any case)
