I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received from Quick Car Finance. After my vehicle was confirmed as unfit for purpose at the time of sale, my finance company instructed them to arrange the immediate recovery so the agreement could be unwound.

Despite this clear instruction, I have been left without updates, timelines, or any meaningful communication.

This situation has now dragged on for over 50 days, during which I have had no access to a vehicle. I have repeatedly chased for information, but the delays and lack of accountability have caused significant stress and inconvenience. I have now had to escalate the matter to the Motor Ombudsman.

Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before using this company.

I purchased a vehicle through Quick Car Finance on February 28th. It quickly became apparent the car was faulty, and an independent Scotia engineer’s report confirmed the vehicle was unfit for purpose and unroadworthy due to safety-critical steering and engine faults.

The lender, Marsh Finance, confirmed their full support for the rejection and requested immediate collection of the vehicle on April 14th. It is now late April, and Quick Car Finance has still failed to arrange recovery.

Marsh Finance has explicitly stated that Quick Car Finance is responsible for this recovery, yet they continue to ignore the urgency of the situation. I am a vulnerable customer with a child and a mother who relies on me for hospital appointments. I have been left without transport, out of pocket for two monthly payments, and stranded by a company that refuses to take responsibility for the car they sold.

I have provided all requested service history and documentation. There is no excuse for this delay. I am now escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman Service for a severe breach of FCA Consumer Duty rules. Do not trust this company with your safety or your money.

I called up to get finance on a van and got through to Nick who was absolutely amazing. He advised me not to go for the van I was looking at and he was right! He sent me through options of similar vans and I chose one and picked it up the next day! The garage nick recommended is amazing, the service they provided couldn’t get any better. Quite good and easy to be guided. In my case I went I applied as I was unhappy with T and C of another garage and then having seen a car I linked I submitted the information and an approval was made and car collected. I did change my mind mid-course, but this was because I saw something else but went back to car. Jay was quick to assist me. He does talk quickly 🤣, but in fairness provided an efficient and good service. There is a £199 admin fee which is higher than expected but overall, the process was genuine and they also make sure the vehicle is indeed worth what it says on the window.
