In my opinion I don't think this course is worth a £1000

I did this course in October for two weeks i feel the trainers were really good, gave you help and reassurance when needed. The first week was busy with models and plenty of hands on experience as a team of two. Second week was totally different because we got to cut models hair on our own which I was really looking forward to but due to having to share models there wasn't enough models to go round so you only probably did one hair cut in the morning and then you could be waiting until the afternoon for another model before you cut hair again but we was told this would be like a barber shop if we worked in a barber shop, but the difference is we've paid a thousand pound to do the course and in a barber shop you're waiting for clients to come in to make money, so for that reason I wouldn't say this course is worth a thousand pound. For a thousand pound I would expect a better structure and a consistent flow of models, so I would be cutting hair from 9-5. Nevertheless due to the first week it was a good experience and i would probably rate the course 5/10. (Edit)

First week I missed a day due to a parking issue which we spoke about and I spoke to my partner and she did three haircuts that day, so I missed out on 1 and a half cuts that day. And i was looking at how other people was doing their haircuts in between models sitting in my chair, the first week of doing that was fine, by the second week everyone was on their phones not just me. The dolls heads got brought out in the second week which felt like a steps backwards and i think they was brought out as more of a time filler rather then a learning experience due to the lack of models coming in. I only started leaving early in the second week because of the lack of cutting i didn't spent a £100 a day to watch people cut. i can look that up on youtube for free. And the second day i missed was on the last day which I gathered through the week that it would be slow. I haven't lied about one thing I'm just letting people know what they could potentially be spending a £1000 on.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

We always aim to provide a fair and supportive learning environment for all students. However, in your case, it’s important to clarify that you missed two full training days, frequently left early, and often disengaged from lessons—spending time on your phone instead of practising or observing demonstrations.

We had plenty of dolls’ heads available for practice, and materials to help catch up on any missed content. Other students on your course fully attended, used their time productively, and successfully completed 3–4 model cuts per day, even during quieter periods such as the Diwali week. Several of them have already gone on to secure barbershop positions, which is a reflection of their commitment and effort.

You were still awarded your certificate as a goodwill gesture, even though your attendance and participation did not meet the usual standards required for passing. For future reference, we’d recommend maintaining full attendance and engagement during any professional training or work environment.

Please note that your attendance and conduct will be recorded on your CPD file for transparency. If you would like to return and complete the training hours you missed, we’d be happy to arrange this to ensure you gain the full value of the course.

We wish you all the best in your barbering journey, and we kindly ask that you do not attribute personal shortcomings to the reputation of our academy, which continues to maintain excellent student feedback and results.

Update for people reading. After 4 days of training especially if you can not carry out a scissor cut a dolls head isn’t not a step backwards. It is practice for scissor work and with current fashion long hair is coming back.

And the point of pairs on certain days we have feedback sheets where each student has to asses another student as part of the module.

Edit :

After 3pm is when people start to finish work and the days pick up leaving early. Also students carried out the minimum 30 haircut today’s to pass the course ( unfortunately you didn’t ) ones that missed a few due to leaving early / missed days / quiet periods have come back / coming back for a one to one with myself / Jordan to finish off. Which I have dropped you a message you are more than welcome to.

A final point. 4 out of the class have paid for some advanced training for the next 10 days. Sorry you didn’t have the best experience.
You wasn’t in for the hot towel shave demos and practice either which you will need to come back for us to pass you on the CPD site.

This is not a debate it is making people aware to read the last 9 reviews from you fellow peers who had a great experience.

I joined Quarters Barber Academy last…

I joined Quarters Barber Academy last week, I was very anxious to come into something I’d never done before and around people I didn’t know…but the two teachers Jake and Jordan made me and the rest of the class feel very comfortable. Last week I didn’t even know how to hold clippers or scissors properly now I feel confident using both. The trims I’ve been producing have massively surprised myself but wouldn’t have been able to do it without the brill teachers, If you’re looking to do a barbering course I would 1000% reccomend this course, worth every penny. India <3
