Having used Atlas in a previous company, I brought Atlas onboard to my current company. Not only have they implemented incredible upgrades, systems updates, more user friendly processes and vastly improved resource, the ISO team have been supportive, transparent, knowledgeable and most importantly human throughout my ISO journey. From the start with Niki Henschel to audit with Nicola Durnan, these ladies helped me to gain not one, but three ISO accreditations with a matter of months. Thank you!

I had a call with Caron Oxford from Citation about changes to the ISO9001 system / documentation. It was really useful and Caron understood my concerns and offered helpful advice.

We had our Audit today for ISO 9001 and Rob Crosby was really great taking us through this. He communicated clearly and diligently tested our compliance. It felt very thorough and gave us confidence in our certification body. The process ran for around 3 hours, he took time to let us evidence what was required at each stage and made us feel comfortable and signposted clearly as we moved through, which was important owing to the long duration of the Audit.

Niki made the entire audit process far more enjoyable than expected. She immediately put me at ease and guided me clearly through every stage from beginning to end.

Despite asking several questions throughout the three-day consultation, she remained approachable and positive, always explaining things in a clear and concise manner.

During my career I have undergone several audits; however, I can confidently say that this experience was excellent—both beneficial and, more importantly, genuinely enjoyable.

Great experience - was not stressful, although the audit schedule was 3 days long. The auditor Anthony Price conducted the audits at a good, calm pace and we were able to demonstrate our quality management systems well. We could also build good rapport with auditor in the 3 days.

We initially had a positive experience with the audit and consultancy side of Citation ISO Certification. The operational staff we dealt with were generally professional and helpful.

However, businesses considering signing up should read the contract extremely carefully, particularly around term length and cancellation provisions.

In our case, what appeared commercially to be an ongoing service relationship turned out to involve a very long contractual commitment with substantial early termination fees linked to future contract value. When our business ceased trading, we discovered that ending the agreement was neither straightforward nor inexpensive.

The issue for us was not the quality of the auditors or consultants, but the rigidity of the commercial model and the way the cancellation structure operates in practice.

We ultimately chose to settle the matter commercially in order to avoid prolonged legal costs and distraction, but the experience left us wishing we had scrutinised the contractual terms far more carefully at the outset.

My advice to any SME considering Citation is simple: before signing, make sure you fully understand:

* the minimum term,
* the renewal structure,
* the cancellation mechanism,
* and the financial consequences of exiting early.

The service itself may suit some businesses well, but the contractual commitment is significantly more onerous than many SMEs may expect.

Responding to the reply:
"I’m sorry to read that, based on your own comments, the contractual commitment may not have been fully recognised at the time." - that will be because you never mentioned it.

"We did make several attempts to engage and request the information needed to review your circumstances, and I’m sorry that we were unable to reach an amicable resolution without this." - No, you delayed, ignored my responses, didn't believe our situation, and set your lawyer onto us.

The Consultant Simon Langston was very friendly and professional.

I have conducted multiple ISO:27001 audits with Citation now. The standard can be a difficult one to figure out but The Auditors at Citation are always open to suggestions & forthcoming with information.

The audit with Cheryl was a continuation of the trend and in the end it was a breeze to complete.

A great service provided each time.
