My friend and I booked a custom, private tour directly through Pyrenees Travels. The experience was unforgettable and very affordable! If you are looking for an authentic, immersive, cultural experience in the Spanish Pyrenees, along with gorgeous scenery and uncrowded trails, this trip is for you! Alberto and his guides, David and Albertico, created a unique experience for us that was challenging, yet relaxed and so much fun! The guides are local, so they know about special, off-the-beaten-track, places that are truly magical. The passion and enthusiasm of the guides, coupled with their expertise in flora, fauna, geology, history, and local culture, amazed us. Alberto's wife Soledad, who manages Casa Muria, embodies warmth, creativity, and deep caring. Honestly, we felt like family and never wanted to leave! Tierra de Biescas Hotel was also nice, but my digestive system did not do well with the late dinner hour. Vegan or vegetarian-based diets will have challenges here. If I were to do this again, I would go for a light soup or salad or tapas in town. However, if you like hearty meat-based dishes and lots of potatoes, you will be in heaven.

Alberto, Sole and their team at Pyrenees Travels are outstanding providers of guidance and support to explore this magnificent but underappreciated mountain chain. And at a reasonable cost. Alberto, David and Albertico acted as guides on trails, taking us to spectacular scenery and wonderful historic sites including an ancient monestary. We visited picturesque mountaintop villages and larger historic towns and hiked to magnificent waterfalls. We took in unbelievable vistas of long, glacial valleys. And we walked and climbed trails at a pace us old folks could manage but feel proud of having conquered. The boutique hotels - especially the one managed by Alberto's wife, Soledad - were delightful, the food (and wine) very good and the transportation (starting from as far away as Barcelona) very comfortable. I strongly recommend going directly to Pyrenees Travel to make your plan. Alberto is very friendly, professional, thorough and easy to contact by phone or email. He is good at adjusting to your desires, needs and on-trail capabilities.

Perfect small group tour. There were 4 of us.
Everything included except alcohol. Picked us up in Barcelona, arranged all the accommodations, transportation, food and activities. Everything was handled for us and it was handled well.
