Excellent centre with the best instructors in the business. All the staff are very friendly. Food is excellent and bar is well stocked and has a nice collection of books if the phenomenal views aren’t enough for you. It would be remiss of me to not mention the excellent cake after each day of your course. If you enjoy the outdoors there is nowhere better to be.

Great 5 days at Plas y Brenin. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with the most excellent food. More than enough cake available when you just need that pick me up from walking in the rain !
The staff could not be more helpful and the instructors are top class. Go and enjoy the experience for yourself.

I took my mountain leader assessment at PYB. Highly recommend choosing to go residential, saved lots of time and effort having all meals prepared and provided for me and being able to go straight to my room at the end of the day for a shower. Staff were all fab, really helpful and welcoming. I would choose to do residential courses at PYB again.

SHAMEFUL. My husband was running 100k and was on the verge of collapse when he reached PYB. The staff refused to allow him access to the plentiful food stating that it was ‘ for the staff’ DISGUSTING

Appalling customer service, charged us £50 to rebook a climbing day when they had made an error with our booking, where we had stated we wanted Good Friday after confusion with the month of Easter as it fell so early this year. Absolutely no flexibility, was told we were lucky not to have the whole £360 we had been charged for the day. Exploitative and disingenuous, avoid at all costs.

The room was very expensive considering it was full of cobwebs and the shower leaked. We specifically asked for parking whilst booking and were told there was parking on site. I had phoned the hotel in the morning before we arrived and no one bothered to mention that there was in fact no parking that day. We arrived and we were told by some very rude staff just to park in a layby down the road and if we get a space to walk back up with all our stuff. The staff all told us different times for breakfast so we were under the impression we'd be well fed before we left for our climbing trip but they opened the breakfast later than specified and we weren't able to get anything.
The hotel is a series of narrow corridors and stairs, none of which have signs or tape to mark low doorways/ceilings or raised boards meaning there's a high chance of catching your foot on the doorways which are often right above staircases.
Staff were very rude and stand offish, often resorting to pointing as opposed to engaging in conversation. We were told, if leaving at early or late hours to leave by a specific entrance/exit. When I asked where it was we were just told that the place was a maze but we'd find it.... Helpful much...

Absolutely incredible centre. I could not have been more blown away by this place. I attended the 2 day start rock climbing course and I choose residential. The instructor was absolutely amazing I felt in such great hands especially as I was incredibly nervous. Plus I learnt a serious amount including confidence which is why I went. The staff were also amazing friendly helpful and very good at what they do. You can tell they love to work there!! The accommodation and food was brilliant and healthy which is important. I honestly loved everything about this place and recommend it so much.

I've just completed the complete navigation skills course and it was excellent. The team, the instructor, the food, the bar, course, the learning experience and the group I was with were all excellent, will be going again soon

Premier instruction venue in the UK, the coach was excellent. However, I attended with an injury and didn't get the best from the course. There was no flex on the T's and C's and I couldn't postpone since they couldn't sell my spot. I stood to get just 25% back. If you book at P-y-B, I'd say pay the min up front! Phone to ask the min despoit for the actual course. Don't take the accomodation until the last minute - they will probably have space and if they don't there's plenty of B&B in Llanberris or Betws-y-Coed - and the P-y-B does good bar meals on site. They do advise that you get insured, but at my doc's a note will cost £65 on top of that and then there's the hassle. Sure, the T's and C's are clear and the staff are very nice, but boy does it sting!

They are clever, gifted instructors that encourage the individual to achieve one's goal in a friendly, informal atmosphere.

What a con, fast track adventure pro looks great, what it doesn't advertise its £12,000 to do it.

Attended the introduction to navigation course in July. Keith, our instructor, was excellent and the course exceeded my expectations.

My daughter has been for 3 years now to do the summer residential and has had a brilliant time. Great activities and fabulous instructors.

An excellent course - introduction to sea kayaking. Carl was such a great teacher, patient and calm when needed but a lot of fun too. Would wholeheartedly recommend Plas y Brenin, thank you.

Really Great

As always PyB did not disappoint. The staff, accommodation and food were great. Special mention on our climbing instructor who was excellent in encouraging us to expand ours skill and knowledge.

Excellent facilities , very helpful and friendly staff , clean and tidy and the food is good.

Great small group 3 of us to 1 instructor. Kathy Murphy is excellent, teaches all techniques nice and simply and explains why other mountaineers use different techniques. Doing ground based practice of rope work and setting up pulley systems makes it far easier to understand than when out on a mountain, and could afford to make mistakes.

I had a great 2 days learning about white water canoeing. The instructors Karl and Dave were excellent. The centre is well equipped and comfortable. I am looking forward to returning to PYB
