Go elsewhere. Anywhere but here. Gates often don’t work and aren’t secured. Price increases every 3-6 months despite the original agent telling me public storage is known for having the least amount of increases in the industry. I went from $180 in Feb 2025 to $257 by September and then they tried again in January 2026 for $347 so I called, started a new account and moved four units over to start at $180 and then moved out before the date started. They came after me with fees so I filed a consumer protection claim on my credit card and they lost. Just go elsewhere.
Avoid this company - their elevator is broken and rude staff
I can't stress highly enough to avoid this company.
1: After booking the storage space I received a call informing me that the elevator was out of order and has been for some time. He said there was an emergency exit along the road that he could open that was on the same floor as my storage unit
2: On the day of the move I called and left 3 messages as I needed to confirm some information for the moving company, never received a call back
3: When I arrived at the storage facility I asked the person at the front desk why my calls were not returned, she snapped at me telling me how busy she is and in meetings all day so this more or less set the tone, she was on her phone when I arrived
4: She then informed me that the elevator was broken and that I had to walk down 2 flights of stairs, I told her about the earlier phone call and how I was informed that there was an access, she basically accused me of lying and made no effort to contact the person I spoke to earlier to confirm what I was told
5: I went out to speak with the movers who said find another place then went back in to cancel the booking and yes by this time after the day I had moving my attitude was a little shorter than it should have been. The staff member again snapped at me again accusing me of disrespecting her and it went on for much longer than it should have. I had to tell her to stop and complete the cancellation and asked her if she had shown me the same level of respect she demanded when she snapped at me when I asked her why nobody returned my call. She went very quiet
6: The refund was processed for the initial payment of $30.00. I checked my bank account and the refund had been processed, but they had charged me $54.61 even though the receipt shows a charge of $30 and when I made the payment online it was for $30.
Due to their negligence with the mis-information about their broken elevator the move cost me an additional $800.00.
Avoid them, a box under a bridge would be a better option than them.

Extremely amiable and her customer service is exceptional. Another young woman was collaborating with her, but I cannot recall her name. She was exceptional.
Samantha ensured that my unit was tidy, facilitating the organisation of my stuff without excessive obstacles.
Great property manager
This review is for the public storage that is located in Fort Worth, TX on Camp Bowie. The property manager that works there is a fantastic woman! She goes out her way to always communicate with her customers about their storage unit. If you even call and she doesn’t answer, she’ll return your call if you leave a message for her. It’s the same day or the next day (if she’s not busy!) She’s understanding and will break the prices down in good explanation to you. Everyone should rent there if they’re looking for some place to put their personal items.

This is the worst storage unit. The managers and staff are unfriendly. There is not a live person to speak to for after hours. They do not care about the value of your items. They do not provide guidance. The area does not have good lighting at night near the unit the light was not changed. The space of the drive way is not wide it is very tight. I feel unsafe and I was not greeted with a hello or thank you.

I am advising strongly against renting from any facility owned by Public Storage. This is a very vagrant and deceptive company. They have a manager, who lives on the premises took things from my unit All the while pretending they know nothing about what happened to the unit. And if u aren't paying attention to your bills they even still try and collect the monthly rent on your stolen property.

I strongly advise against renting Public Storage
I strongly advise against renting from this facility. They impose frequent and steep rent increases, up to 40% every three month, along with excessive fees for nearly everything. I left a couple of empty (folded) boxes at the garbage disposal area and they charged me $75!!.
Additionally, the customer service from the female staff members has been extremely unprofessional, discourteous and rude

This is a very vagrant and deceptive company. They rent u a space or 2 or 3 and then every month raise the rate and then they even start fires to try and steal the contents of ur units. They have a manager who lives on the premises and then pretends that the units are unsalvageable but they are salvageable and the on site manager then takes ur things and if u aren’t paying attention to ur bills they even still try and collect the monthly rent on ur stolen property . They also started selling storage units supposedly abandoned but it is consisting of numerous left overs which they have conveniently rummaged thru already so they are making even more money off people who have been completely taken advantage of. They also did not pay any mind during the covid pandemic and raised rates and even took units away. they are a scam company. rates go up monthly. They LIE and say that their rate increases are because those are the "normal" rates for the area. unit went from $100 a month to $170 in less then 8 months. They are a DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!

This place advertisings a special no problem, however nowhere does it say that the rent will go up $20 every month and it has when I call to speak with someone they alway make me leave a message.

There’s nothing wrong with renting a unit here as long as there isn’t a problem. The company is run by incompetence. No policies, procedure or guidelines when the shit hits the fan. There was a power outage on Sunday I had submitted my request to move all my belongings out on Monday into my new house. I took off work, terminated my lodging for me and my children, hired a moving company and hired people to install things at the new home all on that Monday. I submitted my notice of vacating in writing which was acknowledged and verified. When I arrived on that Monday with a 7 person moving crew who drove 2 trucks an hour to the location I found the elevators not working. I called 4 numbers until I could get a live person who basically offered to put in a ticket for elevator service and for the property manager to call me back. The crew and I waiting for about an hour with no call. I sent them home however needed to pay them as they schedule a whole day of wages on me. It took over 24hrs for someone to call me and they basically just apologize for the INCONVENIENCE. I had to demand to speak to the district manager, Kaitlyn Tierney (may have a different married name) who immediately tried to blame me…she took no responsibility for the lack of plan, organization or communication during this power outage. She said I had in part to blame for NOT CONFIRMING that the elevators worked before moving out. She would not share when/if corporate was notified of the outage. She wouldn’t disclose her manager’s name or any policies they have in place when this happens. I addressed that the building says, “climate controlled” on it and I asked how can you guarantee that without a back up generator or a system in place to alert you to power outages and her response was, “we DON’T guarantee climate controlled”. Meanwhile….its one of their selling points. She basically tried to gaslight me into thinking that I should be grateful for the 40% they reimbursed me in good will. They have the worst communication, access to live customer service and polices for when something goes wrong. There’s are tons of storage places within a stones throw of this one. Run to Any place other than this especially if you have valuable items that actually NEED climate controlled like wood furniture or documents. This was honestly one of the worst customer service and service recovery responses ever. Please please please do not spend your money supporting a company with no moral compass, empathy, accountability or desire to Improve their current process.

HIGHLY UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY
Local staff, Charlotte is great and very helpful, but Public Storage is very dishonorable. I was paying $143 a month and without any prior notice increased my rate to $175 on the date it was due. When I complained they claimed that I had the best rate, but when I anomously called customer service they stated they had the same unit for $94. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Public Storage.
I signed up online less than five months ago and was shown a price with language that said “Lock in this rate.” Based on that, I reasonably believed the rate would remain stable beyond the initial promotional period. Instead, I’ve already received a rate increase, and when I questioned it, I was told that after the discounted period they can change the rate at any time based on “market value.”
What makes this even more frustrating is that the same unit size is currently advertised online for less than what I am now paying. When I pointed this out, I was told there is nothing they can do and that they cannot actually lock in the rate — despite that wording being part of the online signup process.
This feels misleading at best and borderline fraudulent at worst. If rates can be changed at any time regardless of what is shown during signup, then the “lock in this rate” messaging should not be used.
I no longer trust this company’s pricing practices and would strongly caution others to read the fine print and expect frequent increases, even within the first year.
