An Experience I’m Truly Thankful For
I travelled internationally for this experience and, as a woman travelling alone, feeling safe and respected throughout the process was incredibly important to me. I can honestly say that I felt supported, cared for, and treated with professionalism every step of the way.
I came into this work having already spent years in therapy, journaling, and trying to understand my own patterns around complex trauma, people-pleasing, fear of rejection, and relationships. Intellectually, many things already made sense to me, but I still felt a disconnect between what I knew and what I was able to embody emotionally.
The therapist I worked with approached the process with genuine compassion, thoughtfulness, and humility. I especially appreciated their ability to create a space where I felt comfortable exploring difficult emotions without pressure or judgment. The integration support has been invaluable and has helped me translate insight into something deeper and more lived.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve taken away is that healing doesn’t always have to be dramatic to be significant. For that, I am deeply grateful.
