I bought a new car recently and scoured…
I bought a new car recently and scoured the web to try and find a new private reg and came across Primo, who appeared to be the cheapest online. After deliberation I placed an order and submitted my ID as requested, and received my new plates two days later, and a week and a bit later (today) received the certification to put the plates on my car. Slight delay in receiving certification appears to be down to postal strikes, so aside from that it was a very quick and easy process, and whenever I rang the main office they were very helpful, despite my impatience to get them on the car! I was a bit concerned with some bad reviews whilst waiting for my certificate to arrive but happy to say my experience was far from that. Glad I went with Primo :)

Called to check a few things before purchasing and answered straight away, knowledgable and helpful. Plates came in a few days on standard delivery, well packaged and at a great price. I am so happy with my private plates…
I am so happy with my private plates and I’m amazed how it came with my name I couldn’t have wanted something better. If there was a promotion for buying 2 or more it would have been amazing but I am very happy with my private plate and it looks amazing on my car and very affordable prices!!!!!!! Don’t wait rush to buy from primo registrations!!!! You won’t regret the decision!!! I bought two plates. Wanting to buy more but waiting for any promotions.

Designed to be an internet friendly company. I have one major complaint. The private number that I had chosen & paid for was not available. I received a phone call from Paul an hour or so after completing the transaction to be told it had already been sold. I was offered alternatives and accepted one. However, I needed a private plate and decided to accept the alternative. The process after this point went without a hitch and because I had done everything electronically the process was so quick that I received notification that I could put my plates on the following day.

shocking service rude and not trustworthy
just purchased a registration that primoregistrations were advertising only after i had made the payment to get a call from an adviser stating they don't have it. and that the funds although hadn't been taken would now be unavailable for 3 days. customer service advisor then asked me to suggest a way to release the funds and said if i expect him to take the funds out his account "he wouldn't be doing that" absolutely shocking couldn't understand why i was annoyed that they were advertising something that they didn't own. never mind allowing me to pay for it. stay away from these guys

First of all I do apologise at the fact that we didn't have the registration that you were wanting. Having listened to the call in question I can confirm that my colleague did apologise to you that the DVLA systems hadn't informed us that the registration had sold, which I actually understand was to yourself, so I'm very confused as to why you would then try and order the registration from ourselves if you had purchased elsewhere.
My colleague apologised to you and confirmed that no payment was taken by us and that the payment had just gone for authorisation. Whilst trying to explain this to you he was constantly interrupted by you which made it difficult to explain the situation fully to you. Having listened to the call he was very apologetic, but unfortunately you were constantly talking over him. We have no control over the bank procedures, and when you were saying that you wouldn't be able to buy the registration elsewhere because of the funds being tied up, both him and I cannot understand that as you previously explained that you had purchased it earlier. You continued complaining about this, and my colleague couldn't think of any other way to try and help you so suggested that you have any idea on how he could help further. Unfortunately you couldn't answer this too, and went back to complaining again.
As the conversation was just going round and round you then decided to terminate the conversation.
I'm once again sorry that we weren't able to supply the registration that you have ordered elsewhere earlier in the day, but I am glad to hear that you got the registration originally.

I they Will keep your v750 so you can pay them again after 10 years
I paid 400 for my private plate only to realise they are going to hold my v750 hostage that I need to pay them back again after 10 years instead of direct to DVLA THEY wouldn’t give me my v750 which they didn’t explain from the outset. I don’t know how to reply to the comment. Why on the purchaser your name is still there I couldn’t add it to my account on DVLA you even confirmed via phone that in ten years time I have to pay you again. DVLA charges 250 and one can go directly to them to renew after ten years without having to pay you again.

Thank you for leaving a review. We have already explained this to you via email. The V750 is no longer valid as the registration was put on a vehicle. When it is put on the vehicle you are told to destroy it, therefore we are not holding ANY document hostage, as the registration is on your vehicle. The vehicle Logbook V5C is the proof that you need to take it off your vehicle, which you have already done, therefore putting it onto a V778 which will be in the registered keepers details. So to clarify - WE ARE NOT HOLDING ANY DOCUMENT FROM YOU. Regards The Primo Team

We have not held your V750 hostage. We supplied you with your V750 in 2016 when you ordered the registration. You then assigned the registration to a vehicle, making the V750 nil and void, and were told to destroy it by the DVLA when you assigned it. However, for some reason you have kept the V750 and are attempting to add it to your DVLA which you can't do as the document is not valid. You have taken the registration off the vehicle and been issued with a V778 by the DVLA directly.
The V750 is not a valid document anymore. You don't need to extend it after 10years as the V750 is not valid. We have not confirmed this to you via telephone as you have not contacted us about this.
This registration was purchased SIX YEARS ago and put on your vehicle absolutely fine at that time. I don't understand why you are leaving a review like this when it is not relevant and all the information you are putting is completely incorrect.
