Katie, i and Awesome agent Power Books is blessed to have such a hard-working employee. I had all the confidence of in the world once I knew that she was working on my tax returns.

I found Powered Books to be very professional and always ahead of deadlines. I enjoy working with them and appreciate the attention and support Katie provides. She is responsive, courteous and diligent. I especially appreciate the gentle reminders I receive when something is due. Onboarding was very easy, and I was operational within a few days of engagement.

I only write reviews if an experience has left me thoroughly impressed or disappointed. Unfortunately, in this case, it was the latter.

As I was preparing to write this review, I actually saw another one star review from someone else. It was posted a month before mine and they had the exact same experience as me. Abysmally poor communication, long wait times, missed deadlines and shocking unprofessional behavior.

Upon hiring this company, we were told the process would take 2-3 weeks maximum. It took 5 weeks. During this process, we would routinely receive requests for information via an email in the morning. We would always reply immediately. However, we would not receive a response for 24-48 hours. Oftentimes, we would send them information only to have them ask us for the same information again. Also, no one answers the phone. I would have to call 8-12 times, on average, before someone picked up the phone. Most of the time, as I was calling, our account manager Jeffrey would text and tell me that he would call me back. Which means that he and whoever was present in the office knew I was calling and simply ignored my calls. After missing a promised deadline by a week, I asked our account manager Jeffrey for a telephone conversation more than half a dozen times. He blatantly ignored my requests and I have the text messages to prove it. After the missed deadlines, the horrible communication, and the unprofessional behavior from Jeffrey, I wanted to speak to someone in charge. I called, and called and called and called some more. Until finally, after another dozen calls, Katie picks up. I tell her that I want to speak with Jeffrey’s supervisor directly. She tells me that his name is Marc and he is the owner. She then refuses to give me any of his contact information. Only after a second conversation with her and after asking if she thought denying a paying customer an avenue to air their grievances was a good business practice, did she finally give me his email. I immediately emailed Marc who replied that he would “investigate” my complaints and follow up to set up a phone call with me. He sent me an email three days later which basically excused his employee’s behavior. And, of course, he did not set up a phone call with me. Do not use this company.

TLDR: Do not use this company

3 months in and we still aren't set up. We get passed from department to department and no one has answers or follows through until at least 4 days in between. So sorry we bought the promises.

They really are great. They communicate well, are well priced and organized. so happy I found them.

Katie made the entire process easy and stress-free. I cannot recommend her enough!

Katie has been great! She was brought in to do the taxes for my son and his landscaping business.
His prior tax person decided last minute that he could no longer help us. Luckily we were put in touch with Katie. She jumped right in and took over the 2022 taxes (yes my son had been 2 years late with filing them). Once those were completed she was ready to address the 2013 taxes. Katie is very professional and more than willing to assist us with the unique dynamics of the business. My son handles the labor, and my father was handling the business side. He passed unexpectedly in February, leaving no one able to address the finances. Katie has been great at working with my son where needed, and then with me on the rest.
