Portugalvisa.org.uk is very good, has provided good service for getting our Portugal visa, initially I was not sure (fees are high and we're not updated on website) but I took a chance as really needed the visa appointment, to our surprise we were so satisfied with applying through them. They reply instantly on any query, once you apply within 8-10 days we received the application appointment date from Visa VFS with receipt of their application fee and from portugal visa we receive all required info of forms for gathering necessary documents. Very helpful reliable, and recommended. We got 90 days visa for short stay single entry. Please ensure you take all photocopies and Travel insurance that states for particular schengan county if not they (VFS) will ask you to get it again. Be aware VFS Portugal Visa service counters are very arrogant though - they treat you very low, can't belive most of them are all Asian may be Indian nationality not even direct Portugees consulate(who are simply wonderful ppl though). We even heard them shouting loudly to other people. The ground entrance service was very helpful and informative. Also check your receipt on payment upstairs twice to avoid for any double payment issue.

I tried to get the Portugal Visa first by myself. However, the ample amount of confusing instructions and not being able to get appointments in time left me frustrated. Then a friend advised me to apply through portugalvisa. I was amazed to see how the staff took all the responsibility in taking care of my Visa application. I was not even a bit stressed. They charge a service fee which I think is fair enough for their hard work.

Companies like this should be illegal. They pre-book all the free visa centre appointments (making it impossible to book them independently) and then sell them back to the public for £250+. I have been trying multiple times a day to book appointments via VFS for months and this company coincidentally just happens to have next day appointments for sale.
