Portable Universe 

I bought an iMac three years ago and it has been working perfectly ever since. Portable Universe is a company I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I am so pleased with my refurbed Mac Book Pro. I have had Mac laptops since 2003 and my last one no longer updated, it was with great reluctance I knew it needed replacing. I found this company and thought it was worth a try.

Good company who provide good products quickly and safely

Received a perfectly acceptable working MacBook Pro, as described, on time and suitably packaged. Still working six weeks on, and no apparent problems. Better than the last company I bought a used Mac off...

Bought an iMac and MacBook Air.
Delivered quickly. Well packaged.
Both work really well. Will definitely use again and recommend.

And every single transaction was good, and we trust them because they care about each deal like it is for the first time. They have an excellent system in place to get back to you on the phone or via email, so we always know when to expect our orders. Thank you for a great job done!

One because I can't choose none. Scammers who sell broken goods then ignore you when you want your money back. Just send you a return address expecting you to pay (professional) for the return.

So why are you ignoring PayPal too then? They requested you to resolve this issue and pay me on the 10th. You are the worst company I have ever had to deal with online and that's saying something. just unprofessional, ignorant. And no you never tried to ring me. You have gone out of your way NOT to pay me back. You are a bunch of scammers selling faulty goods. Don't blame it on PayPal. They are waiting for you to stop ignoring them too, as you said to me in email you will take up all the time you can to get this resolved. Matching your unprofessional Scammy behaviour thus far.

It seems you have only just realised that having such a bad reputation on trust pilot is not good for business.
I was stupid. I forgot to check here first. Would never have purchased through you and be going through this childish nonsense.

UPDATE

Still waiting for my refund from this scam company. They are ignoring me and ignoring pay pals emails to resolve this issue. They received the broken imac a week ago. it arrived with a faulty mouse, faulty rear headphones jack and the cd player had middle write error when trying to use it. Worst company I have ever had to pleasure of dealing with online. I hope everyone checks trust pilot before buying from these scammers!

By far, and without exaggeration, the worst company I have ever personally dealt with.

I purchased a refurbished 2013 iMac only 2-3 months ago. Instantly, issues arose. It wasn’t the same iMac as advertised, and was in a different condition. Additionally, the hardware was corrupted and made for a REALLY slow computer, to the point where it became unusable every 7 days.

I’ve had to factory reset it 3 times now, with no avail. Now I will have to foot a massive bill from Apple to fit this iMac with the suitable, working hardware.

Portable Universe, in my honest opinion, appear to be a scam selling products with bad, broken hardware and software, in the hopes people do not understand Consumer Rights.

I’ve had a disgusting experience with Portable Universe, and simply would recommend everyone considering buying from them to think again.

So far so good. I ordered the computer (foolishly) before I'd seen the reviews, and then, having read some, I panicked, because quite a few are really not good. Anyhow, there was some mix up over delivery, I rang up and it was sorted out, so it got here a bit late on Monday. And it actually works, so I'm relieved. Some slight idiosyncrasies, but I can live with that. If it continues to work well I can say I'm certainly happy...

Great machines at a competitive price, Grade A machine's are spotless. Never had a problem, bought a few machines through this company and they've always been up to scratch.

Strike me as an outfit of fraudsters, asked for verification codes to sanction a payment already sent. Will come back and post edited copies of the emails if this promised refund is not fast and full.

Tricky fine print giving you useless tech that can't be updated. Phoned up for returns procedures only to be laughed at by call centre staff and flung around and around other managers to complain.

Disgusting and downright awful service and products too.

My macbook has broken twice in 7 months seen buying it from Portable universe. They refuse to refund me or replace it with another one as its out of the 30 day return period. They have fixed it twice, but I sadly expect it will break next 1 day after my years warranty runs out.

As a self employed person, If a service I offered failed twice within 7 months, I certainly would offer a refund or replacement, as its really just a matter of basic customer service.

I definitely would not recommend them as a company and write this review so as to warn people away from buying products from them.

The Grade A used MacBook Pro was just that, Grade A - excellent condition. Getting a used Mac saved me hundreds and was ideal for my use. I'm not very technical, so when I deleted some crucial software and hadn't a backup or a clue how to sort it, their tech support were very patient and got me going again.
