Be careful with the technician they send. Some seem underqualified. I got an electrician that almost burnt an LED light by plugging it directly to a fluorescent light lamp, when the job was to remove the electronic ballast. I had sent instructions, photographs of the ballast & wirings, but apparently he didn't get any of that, so there seem to be communication issues with Polarity Electrics. I also talked about the rewiring as soon as he arrived, though. He ignored all that and plugged the light straight in. I had to jump and turn it off before the light burned.

Reliable and keeps the customer updated on arrival time.

Called on the morning of the day the work was to be carried out to say have to cancel and rearrange. As I have had the day off work this was not ideal.

Initial comms where very good and turned up on time but that is where it went down hill.

2 guys turned up done the electrical test, left a hole in my front room ceiling, dirt marks on my carpet from where they didn’t use and shoe covers or dust sheets. 1 week on I am still waiting for the report I need to sell my house. All they would tell me is I would require a new fuse board, having searched for other quotes I have since been told by other company’s this may not be the case. Although as I do not have the report yet I don’t know why they are suggesting a new fuse board. Very bad service thus far

The initial quote for EICR check on rented accommodation was very competitive. They did change date of check at last minute. Main issue was the price for remedial work identified by check - before they would issue certificate - was more than double best quote for same and was 20-30% more expensive than the highest alternative quote I received for the work. Would not use again.

Engineer left leaving our premises with lamp working but on turning it on again it fused the main fuse box waiting to hear from company

Friendly intelligent worker. Very helpful and well qualified.

If you ask for an electrical certificate all you get is an inspection and estimate for which you have to pay for, you then get an inflated price for ie a new fuse box and are pestered to have it done by them. I thought that estimates were free. This is a scam

Polarity are reliable and straightforward. They reply to emails and make sure the job is going to plan.

Polite and helpful. I was given a good explanation of the nature of the problem and how it could be fixed. I feel I would use them again.

Polite guy who completed the job quickly and well. The only downside is that he left screws on my driveway. I am hoping that I found them all.

Although the Trustpiilot website is making it difficult to make the review, the two two chaps from Polarity were swift and professional and fixed both problems that I had. Recommended

Communication was fantastic from the start offering an appointment to fit around me. A call from the engineer to say he was in his way and an immediate receipt upon payment . My engineer was very professional and explained everything clearly . Pricing was simple and straight forward

The electrician arrived late, that’s not a big issue. What’s disappointing is that I asked for them to install a Nest Hello door bell; the first thing the electrician said to me is (we don’t install these, we normally install Ring. I hope it doesn’t require a transformer!!), I asked if he has a spare in the van, he said No?!!
Luckily it worked, but because of the lack of transformer my door bell now goes DING rather than DING-DONG.
Now, if you know you’re going for a job that requires a transformer, why not bring one!!?

I immediately regretted not going for one of the Nest Pro installers, but I corrected this when I bought another Nest door bell for my father in law.

I found the test to be through And complete,The electrian who come was very respectful .
