Our experience with Polar latitudes was excellent. The office staff was responsive to our inquiries and the expedition staff on board was superb. The hotel staff on board was wonderful.

Best trip ever. Highly recommended
Crew were great experience was great, expeditions were great, only 140 odd people on board. Made for a personalised and friendly trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another polar expiditions cruise/experience. I am looking at a couple now. Really highly recommend.

Overall the experience was good however great
Overall the experience was good however the biggest disappointment was the activity of kayaking. This was something I had always wanted to do. I got there and the kayaks were awful. They were old, seating in them was unstable and there was no where to stabilise yourself. No paddle leash. Then when the weather turned bad there was no opportunity to repeat the experience. Other than that experience it was great

I am glad to read that overall your experience was good and that, apart from the kayaking, you had a great trip with us.
I am genuinely sorry to read that the kayaking experience was such a disappointment, especially as this was something you had really looked forward to. That is not the feeling we want any guest to leave with.
Your comments about the kayaks, seating, stability, and paddle leashes are taken seriously. We will share this directly with our onboard and operations teams for review, so we can look at what can be improved for future voyages, including whether a different kayak setup would offer a better guest experience.
Regarding the weather, kayaking in polar regions is always very dependent on safe conditions, and unfortunately it is not always possible to repeat an activity once the weather changes. That said, I fully understand how disappointing this must have been for you.

For me the birds, the cliffs and glaciers. An then of course the fantastic expedition team on the boat, hotel staff as well as the staff who guided us to the landings.

Polar Latitude / Albatros Expeditions under deliver
Polar Latitude / Albatros Expeditions has misleading advertising regarding their abilities to provide their itinerary as advertised. They underdelivered on our expedition by deciding to only take us to Antarctica for less than one day of the four days they advertise. There was weather to deal with, but that is common / expected in the Drake Passage, and other companies were able to offer a more complete experience to their guests at the same time. Other boats were also crossing when we were being diverted away from Antarctica. On the return from our very short time in Antarctica, they decided to leave early and took a very diverted route back while other boats were passing through directly.
When a large group of unhappy passengers corresponded with the company, providing lots of evidence as to why we felt they should have been able to mostly proceed as advertised, they ignored us to begin with then, once they finally responded, did not show transparency or accountability for their poor decisions. At the end of the day, the boat that we were on was not able to handle the Drake Passage as advertised.
I would steer clear of this company, based on what I have learned about their ability to deliver the product they sell (from my experience & past performance discovered in our research). They had the choice to deliver the product, and when not able to, to make it right for their customers by compensating appropriately and they chose not to.
This was a disappointing 'once in a lifetime experience' and they overpromise and underdeliver on it.
