A great way to enjoy films and meet like minded people
I had a great experience with Storiboard Film Club. I really enjoyed the movie and met some genuinely nice people who I am already planning to watch more films with through Storiboard.
The whole process is straightforward and feels modern. I especially like that all communication is done via WhatsApp, which makes everything easy and convenient.
I already have good friends, but I wanted to meet new people with similar interests, and Storiboard has been a brilliant way to do that. It is relaxed, welcoming, and well organised. I would definitely recommend it.

Disappointing experiences
If I'm going to be honest I thought it was great idea at first and thought I'd give it a try to make new friends. I was living in London initially but after doing dinner and going bowling it wasn't for me. The dinner people were nice I just had nothing in common with them. I found the bowling lot just wanted to go clubbing and just a bit young for me.
There have been several times as well when events have been cancelled. It's also very much based on what your job is etc and it a lot of it felt like social climbing - I found people very judgemental at the fact I do cleaning and healthcare assistant work. I also found myself in groups of people either a lot older or younger than me and I don't have anything in common with them.
I'd give it go if it was more sit down crafting etc but I feel like I've wasted my money. I moved to Liverpool now yet Storiboard seem to hold their events at very expensive places when there are tons of places that are better value and cheaper. I'm really disappointed really.
The other annoying thing they do is if an event is cancelled they swap it for a new one on a different day. How is drinks the same as the Xmas market? Some of us are can't/are unable to drink.
I won't be choosing to renew and I'll be trying different platforms I think to try and find some new likeminded people. I'm lonelier than before after using Storiboard ......
Honestly please cater for those of us aged 25-30 who aren't graduates but are young professionals still trying to build our careers and figure out our lives and do more activities that don't revolve drinking or competition.

You’re also right to call out cancellations and swaps. We understand how frustrating it can be when an event changes or is replaced with something that doesn’t feel equivalent or suitable, and we’re actively working to improve how we handle this and communicate it more clearly.
Your point about catering better for 25–30-year-olds who are early in their careers, non-drinkers, or looking for calmer, more creative or sit-down experiences is heard loud and clear. We’re already expanding our range of formats beyond nights out, and feedback like yours directly shapes what we build next.

A fantastic way to meet new people and have fun!
I had an amazing experience with Storiboard Club! From start to finish, everything was seamless, the booking process was simple, the team kept me informed via WhatsApp, and the event itself was so well organised. I attended a dinner evening and was matched with like-minded people, which made it easy to connect and have genuine conversations.
Even if you’re a bit nervous about meeting strangers, Storiboard makes it fun, relaxed, and memorable. I left with new friends and already looking forward to my next event. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to add some excitement and social connection to their week!

Great way to meet new people and friends
Storiboard has been a game changer for meeting new people and making friends in a busy city like London. I went to my first event in November and have continued to see some of the people I met, already forming a nice little friendship group.
The events are really well organised and having an activity to do can remove any awkwardness if you get stuck for conversation. If you've heard about Storiboard and not sure, just give it a try! It's such a great way to do something new with a bunch of like-minded people.

Fun conversation over a nice meal
Had a meal with three lively, interesting people. We shared a wide range of experiences throughout a fun and very worthwhile evening. Seems a shame we'll probably not meet again, but on the other hand that allows a fairly honest and sincere conversation. which was refreshing! Recommended.

Edinburrgh, don't waste your time
Booked a Tuesday dinner a few days in advance. oh yes we have the perfect group for you.
Tue morning last minute, I get a message that it's the wrong age group for me, do you want to switch to next week?
Today arrives, same thing, this time wrong gender balance. And then cancelled entirely (or maybe they just said that to push me off).
They clearly can't make their model work here.
Complete waste of time.
EDIT: I asked for a refund, and after threatening a chargeback from the bank, they agreed

I’m really sorry for the experience you’ve had with us in Edinburgh – this is absolutely not how we want anyone to feel.
For our small-group dinners we match people within a 10-year age range and aim for a good gender balance, so occasionally if there are last-minute changes or cancellations we’ll offer to move someone rather than run a table that doesn’t meet what they signed up for. However, you should never have been moved twice or left feeling pushed off – it happening twice is really unusual and I completely understand your frustration.
We are still building up our Edinburgh community and we’re reviewing what happened here so it doesn’t repeat. We'll message you directly to try and put this right.

Very good Salsa session
I went along to the Salsa session just off Cavendish Square. The venue was good, although there isn’t room for the class to grow. The tuition was very good technically, although probably should have been described as for beginners and new intermediate dancers.
I thoroughly enjoyed the event, and recommend it to anyone interested. When I have time and am in the area, I’ll go back.

I wouldn't say a great evening only 5 at the table and one was 35 mins late, we ordered food at 7.45 and it turns up a hour later later, when the bill arrives there is vat on the food we ate and a service charge on top i thought menu price's included vat

We always aim for groups to start on time and for everyone to feel relaxed and looked after, so having someone arrive 35 minutes late would definitely have disrupted the flow of the night. We’ll speak with the venue about the delay with the food, as that shouldn’t have happened either.
Just to clarify, StoriBoard doesn’t charge anything on top for food or drinks – all VAT and service charges are set by the restaurant directly. But you’re absolutely right to expect clarity, and we’ll make sure the venue makes this more obvious upfront so there are no surprises on the bill.

A very disappointed experience
A very disappointed experience. I was expecting a meal with 5 other likeminded people selected based on the quiz we filled in. There was only three of us, including myself, and whilst we did chat, we really didn’t have anything in common and it was very awkward. I honestly wish I hadn’t bothered and save myself the fee. You guys didn’t deliver on what I was sold.

A fun night of darts and laughs
I had lots of fun last night at Flight Club meeting a wide range of people! I liked that there wasn’t the pressure to be talking the whole time because we had games to play, but everyone got on really well and stayed for food and drinks afterwards. I met 6 strangers! With a friend
Myself and my friend Dannie were the first to participate in the taking a friend to meet people we’ve never met before. And we had an amazing time! Our table of people were lovely and to have all types of conversations, perspectives & learn about different walks of life was a perfect way to enjoy our Tuesday evening.
The food was affordable and the vibe of the restaurant was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who would love to make new connections, put themselves out their and try new food!

Really lovely evening
I had a really fun evening! I was expecting there to be 6 of us, but there were only 3 in the end - unsure of this was due to people not booking on or people deciding not to come. So that was a tad disappointing initially, however, the 3 of us were matched up extremely well, similar personalities, similar humour, and had such a great night getting to know each other. I feared it might be a bit awkward or uncomfortable but it wasn't at all. I'll definitely be back!

Only one other person showed up.
I went on this experience expecting to meet 4 like minded people. Instead there was one man there. Also, the restaurant was very expensive and not everyone can afford the prices. Was very disappointed as nothing was as I hoped

Always a Great Time with Storiboard Club!
I’ve been to three events with Storiboard Club so far (two bowling events and one dinner evening), and I’m attending another one tomorrow (a darts evening). The website can be a little buggy at times, but whenever I’ve had any issues or questions, the customer service via WhatsApp has been quick, friendly, and excellent. I’ve met a diverse range of people through these events and always have a great time. I plan to attend regularly from now on. It would be really nice if Storiboard Club introduced reunion events to bring past attendees back together!
