Scammers, plain and simple. I have never signed up to this app, to the point that I do not even have a recognised account - and yet they have still somehow charged me.

I used Pliability in the past and genuinely thought the app itself was good. The content is well put together and useful when you’re actively using it. Unfortunately I haven’t been using it for about 6months and thought I’d already cancelled.

Unfortunately, my experience with their billing and customer service has completely changed my view. My subscription auto-renewed without any prior notice, and I cancelled within less than 30mins of the charge appearing on my Amex - they don’t even send you an email saying the renewal has occurred.

Despite not having used the app for over 6 months, immediately cancelling and emailing them for a refund and taking immediate action, my refund request was refused outright due to a strict “no refunds” policy. The reason for their “no refunds” is they are focused on creating high quality daily content - unfortunately, customer service should also be a key focus for any business.

When cancelling, I was offered 6 months free to stay, which shows there is discretion available—yet none was applied in what I believe is a very reasonable situation.

After looking at other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. The product may be good, but the billing practices feel predatory and the customer support experience is poor and inflexible.

It’s disappointing, because I would have considered returning in the future - I’ve signed up on and off over the years. Instead, this experience has put me off entirely and I would not be recommending this to anyone else.

Avoid, unless you cancel during the free trial. Once your card is charged, they will offer no refunds, no exceptions. It's not great when a company doesn't do that. Why do we have to pay for something we don't intend to use, and simply forgot to cancel? They don't send any reminders either. Awful service. I'd stay away from them if I were you.

They are scammers. I bought a trial for Freeleetics and when I try to sign up they won't let me into their app because I don't have a credit card, only a debit card. And after six months they charge me for the subscription with the debit card. And I've never been able to log into their app or their website until now.

​If you got a "free" 6-month trial through Freeletics, beware! This company relies on extremely shady and predatory billing practices to make money. I signed up for the trial, found the app completely useless, and literally never used it once.

​Fast forward 6 months, and they silently charged my credit card for a full renewal without a single reminder or warning email. What’s worse is that it was never made transparent during sign-up that my payment details were being authorized for an automatic, non-refundable subscription.

​When I reached out to customer service, after waiting 10 hours for a reply, a rep gave me a generic, copy-paste response refusing a refund, hiding behind their so-called "policy"—even though their own system logs can easily prove I have zero usage over the last 6 months. Real, honest businesses don't operate by slipping their hands into your wallet and refusing to let go when caught.

​I have already opened a chargeback dispute with Mastercard and formally complained to Freeletics about their partner's abusive practices. Do yourself a favor and avoid giving this company your payment info at all costs!

If I could put 0 stars I would!! SCAMMERS!! DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS APP. You sign up for a 7-day free trial and as long as you cancel before the trial finishes you don’t get charged. When you cancel you then have the option to delete your account which is what I did. I the received no correspondence from them to say my trial had cancelled or the payment was coming out and because the have sent no emails you can’t even send/reply to them as proof. When you message their customer service is terrible. They are rude, don’t listen and just want to get the chat closed as quickly as they can without resolving the issue and continue to say they aren’t going to refund you even though the trial was cancelled to not continue for the year but “you still have access to the full app before your next payment date”. Do not sign up to them or be cautious if you do!!

Like everyone else this is money grab app. This was provided as part of a Freeletics bundle and had an automatic payment unless you cancel. I've never even used the app. They renewed on February 26th and I cancelled today March 3rd. That's within è business days. Absolute disgrace of a company and app. If you get offered, you MUST sign in on a browser (can't do it in the app). Outrageous con. .

Tried to cancel my subscription immediately after 7 day free period. Canceled within minutes of charge appearing. They refused to offer a refund. Customer service is unresponsive. Avoid at all cost. Just a money grab!

Hundreds of dollars wasted. Terrible customer service. They make it extremely difficult to cancel. First off, they don't send you any reminder to cancel so your membership automatically renews. So I was charged almost $200 for a second year of an app I hardly used. I contacted customer service for a refund, which they refused. They gave me instructions on how to cancel and told me I could get the year for half off. So I cancelled, thinking I would be refunded half of the second year and be done with it. A year later, I received another charge, this time for the discounted rate, which was still $90. Infuriated, I contacted them again, stating I had cancelled the previous year and that this is a scam and I wanted a refund. I went back and forth with them several times but they continued to blame me. Ultimately, I received no refund and have spent almost $500 for an app that I never use. It's a complete SCAM. Do not give them your credit card information, do not sign up for this app. It's completely overpriced and they will keep taking your money.

Same issues as below. No notifications for renewals, take your money and refuse to refund. Absurd way to run business. Do better.

Sadly, I have experienced the same as others after signing up to a free trial. They took my payment after cancellation.

Contacted customer service and they are absolutely useless. Do not sign up to a trial with this fraud of a company who will not refund you and take unauthorised payments.

I was charged £169.95 for an annual subscription renewal that I did not expect. I received no renewal reminder beforehand and no receipt or confirmation email after the payment was taken.

When I contacted support, the response was entirely policy-based rather than customer-focused. I was told refunds are not possible, despite the lack of notification and transparency.

After cancelling, my account displayed a lower annual price, which was explained as a price change for future renewals — something that was never proactively communicated.

While the product itself may be fine for certain individuals, the billing transparency and renewal communication are extremely poor, and customer support showed no flexibility when a genuine issue was raised.

I would strongly advise anyone signing up to this company to be cautious and double-check auto-renew settings and not assume reminders or receipts will be sent.

Terrible - I cancelled my monthly subscription after the free trial and they are still taking money every month, refusing to refund me. When I log in to my account it says I don't have an active subscription. Do not sign up for this!
