Great atmosphere
Great atmosphere, really friendly teams and leagues are set up to be fair and competitive. Referees are all great really approachable. Playing there every week and always had an enjoyable experience. It's a really good place to play football regardless of abilities. Highly recommended if you were thinking about playing or joining as a team. LSW

Hough End pitch bookings by PlayFootball
PlayFootball have been doing the pitch booking admin for the grass pitches at Hough End (Manchester) for a few seasons now. Each season my league (adult male 11aside) has up to 6 teams play their home games on the grass at Hough End.
I find that the pitch booking process works well. Before the start of each season I send the fixtures for the season to PlayFootball and Kieren puts all the bookings onto our account. Through the season, the fee payments works well, with auto debit from our league bank account on the Thursday before the Saturday fixture.
PlayFootball are helpful and flexible with changes to fixtures that inevitably arise through the season.....fixture postponements and rearrangements, amendments to changing room requirements etc. Some of these can be quite short notice and there can be quite a lot of them !
The most effective way to contact the PlayFootball bookings team is using the "Support" function on their website to submit a 'ticket' with the request. This is usually for the changes that I refer to above. When the PlayFootball team have actioned the request, they send an email to me to confirm. If the request is a bit more complex, I usually get a phone call or email from Kieran which enables us to resolve the matter.
PlayFootball are good at sending email to inform if the grass pitches are closed for the weekend due to bad weather - when the pitches are deemed unplayable, as determined by the on-site team at Hough End Leisure Centre.
All the above is positive, so overall I'm happy with the service we get from PlayFootball. The reason my overall review rating is 4 stars rather than 5 stars is that I find that the response time from the PlayFootball team (to submitting a Support ticket) can be quite variable and sometimes there can be quite a delay. While waiting there is no visibility what's happening and delays can be bit frustrating.

I run many football events here for children and young people and the service is always brilliant. Playfootball always accommodate our needs.
The price to hire the pitches is very reasonable and Paul the manager is very good and will always be on hand for anything

Really well organised
Had a team at the Preston Centre for a few years now. Really well run, the guys will do a lot to make sure your games are on every week, so no last minute cancels like at other places in the area. The refs are good, fixtures are well organised and never had any trouble up there.

Keep playing 5-a-side football
We have played here for a number of years now and have always been extremely well
looked after. The staff have always been friendly, polite and helpful and the facilities have always been superb. It’s been great to keep a group of old friends playing football into our 50’s.
