Tony was a great tour guide - knowledgeable of the region’s wines and all-around helpful! Our tour took us to 3 wineries, all very close to, or in, St. Helena…2 of the 3 had very good wines…the first winery we went to (Merryvale) was in St. Helena and was the most disappointing (their ice wine was good, though). A different winery - a bit farther afield than St. Helena would’ve been nice…let’s see more of Napa Valley!

The company provided excellent communication prior to the tour. The hotel pick up was convenient and timely. The tour guide Andy was knowledgeable and friendly. The small wineries on the tour were all different but each experience and the wines were all great. I was a solo traveler and felt quite at home with this small group tour experience. Highly recommend Platypus Tours!

Our guide in Napa, Andy, was kind and knowledgeable. It is a great option for when you want to enjoy wine in Napa and not have to worry about transportation. The three wineries we toured were not ones I would have chosen myself, so it was nice to visit different venues. All three locations were interesting and unique. This was an affordable and worthwhile experience.

Our guide, Linda, was organized, entertaining, and informative. The wineries offered a unique group experience in addition to tastings. The bus even picked us up and dropped us off at our Airbnb in Napa. It was a great day with lots of yummy wine and no worries about driving!

This was our 4th Platypus tour. We've had 4 different guides and each one was marvelous. We have recommended Platypus Tours to our friends and family who may visit your area. The history, wine production and the wonderful boutique wineries we have visited all contribute to a wonderful experience.

Great tour! We loved the family-run wineries that we would never have found on our own. Everything was on time and all the details were handled so well that we were able to relax and enjoy the experience. I would highly recommend Playtpus Tours when in Napa.

It’s important to start the tour at a winery where there will be more explanation and a good lead in to the day. We started with Bread and Butter. Backstage was a beautiful setting.

Visiting 4 wineries would have made the trip perfect. Andy, our driver, was very nice. Loxton winery was the best stop.

My family and I recently back to back private tours with Platypus Tours. The first day we toured wineries in the Napa Valley area, and the second ay we toured wineries in the Sonoma area. Both tours we had Mike (Pav) as our private chauffeur.

Everything from the planning of the trip to the two days with Pav was excellent.  Pav definitely went above and beyond during our two days with him.  On both days, he arrived early and met us in the lobby of the hotel.  At each stop, he made sure to walk us into the wineries and then allowed us to experience the wineries on our own.  On day one he made an extra stop to have us experience an affogato, which was delicious.  Though we tried to pay for the experience, Pav would not let us.  On day two, he purchased pastries for us to enjoy before arriving at our first stop.  On the last day, we left a pair of prescription glasses in the van and Pav went out of his way to come back to our hotel to return them.  Pav was top notch and we thoroughly enjoyed our two days with him.

We have used Platypus Tours in the past and would not hesitate to use their services again in the future!

Platypus helped make our mother & daughters Napa experience a success! This was my 3rd time booking with them and 2nd time with Linda as our group guide who is not only knowledgeable about the wineries we visited but also about the interesting and fun historical facts about the local area. Thank you Platypus Tours and Linda, we had a great time again!

Fun experience on the tour to Calistoga! We had a great group, and our driver Army was informative, personable, and fun. I would go on one of his tours without question

My Fiancé and I took our first trip up to Napa together and Platypus Wine Tour was certainly the highlight. As amateur wine drinkers, we were a little nervous at first as we did not know what to expect. Those nerves disappeared almost immediately! Our tour guide Army was the absolute best! Not only was he knowledgeable about the wineries, but the history and geology of wine country. Army’s humor truly shines and there is no doubt he loves his job! The wineries we visited in Calistoga were the absolute best. We loved how small and personable each winery was. We definitely plan to book again on our next trip to Napa!

Couldn’t ask for a better experience! Chris was a fantastic guide, giving the perfect amount of wine education and a well thought out itinerary for our day. All three Sonoma wineries we went to were great and unique in their own ways (loved the wine cave!). Lunch was shockingly good for a boxed lunch.

Next time we are in the bay, we will certainly do another Platypus Tour!
