My whole balance was taken off my voucher but they won’t warn you even though you ask if it’s ok while still at the restaurant.
When you later realise, you will have to beg for your own money back.
Then you will be spoken to like you did something wrong.
Won’t ever go back now

Ordered from local store and they forgot childs meal. That was bad enough but customer service were very bad at dealing with the issue. They offered a free kids meal on my next order. That doesnt help when I have a kid who's hungry and I have given them my adult meal!

Had a meal in the Bury St Edmunds branch on Saturday and the food was lovely, always the best pizzas around, along with their chicken wings (lemon & herb) and cajun prawns, all of it so tasty. They always have plenty of staff on who are so helpful and polite, especially Emma & Jason, who both go that extra mile to make you feel comfortable and make your evening enjoyable. Have been coming to this branch for years now, but recently had a serious illness so had a year or so without going, but was so happy to find, nothing had changed with the food or the service, definitely going back.

One star because I can’t give none! Pizza Express Wembley Park was a huge disappointment😩 We were pleased to find an unreserved table on a busy concert day and that accommodated gluten-free. Well, our enthusiasm was soon quashed. After 45 mins I asked where our food was (just two pizzas) and was told the wait was 45 mins; not told at time of ordering but we weren’t in a rush. This server said she’d check and never returned. We watched others who arrived long after us receiving and even finishing their food while we waited. When it looked like our order might be being given to a table nearby who were saying they hadn’t ordered yet, this was at about 55-60 mins, I asked the server if it was ours and if not could he check on ours. He appeared to ignore me and walk away as he didn’t acknowledge me, but he did speak to the server who took our order who looked confused at our table then immediately appeared with our plates; how long had it been sat waiting to be delivered? Anyway, turned out the GF base was so undercooked you could pull the raw dough with a knife. We reported this but received no apology or feedback about how long another would take to be ready meanwhile the other pizza was eaten as it would have gone cold. About 10-15 mins later the second GF pizza was delivered, and again was undercooked. We complained and were told that’s the way they come as the dough isn’t prepared on-site; I pointed out this was a cooking issue not a dough issue. We asked to speak to a manager as, at this point as now had no time or desire to wait for another so I was just eating the topping. Manager did try same explanation and I pointed out again a cooking not dough issue. I had to say I wasn’t going to pay for it; this should’ve been offered for their error and some other compensation should probably have been offered while we waited for the second pizza, with an apology and perhaps a free drink while we waited. Nothing. Zip. Even though manager apologised and changed he bill, he didn’t seem to care and four other servers involved in these conversations couldn’t have been more indifferent. The only tip we leave is for future customers - this Pizza Express experience was awful and will likely mean we won’t ever go to another Pizza Express again. Some serious customer service training is needed, and perhaps some cooking guidance for those in the kitchen.

The new pizza express spalding , on arrival we waited a group of young staff members , were behind the bar on there mobile phone .. until eventually we were seated , we had to wait quiet awhile to eventually be served to which the young waitress said oh as no one taken your order yet ! When the mains arrived to say they were poor was an understatement.. the pepperoni pizza had 2 tini bits of pepperoni on the top of each pizza , hardley any cheese , no one came to our table to ask of everything was ok ! My pasta was not even a child portion , I did ask for the manager , that was a waist of time …. At no point did he want to listen to what I had to say and at no point did he apppolgise about the terrible service and terrible food … he was not the pleasantest of men ..

Raw base, pizza was tasteless. Appalling.

This is our second visit to Pizza Express at Springfields shopping centre in Spalding, once again we thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service that we’ve enjoyed when visiting.
Our waitress this evening was the delightful Jamie and very attentive Jack, first class!
They were however almost eclipsed by Florence who remembered us from our first foray into this establishment , once we were seated she came across to our table, welcomed us again, asked us how we were both keeping etc, you really must put her at the front of house, if I still owned my restaurants, I would be trying my very hardest to poach her from you.

We've just been to the one in Telford (by the cinema) - it was one of the worst experiences ever, the service was truly dreadful (although the young lady doing the cooking seemed pleasant enough). The young man 'looking after us' was clearly not happy in his work and did not once smile or do anything at all to ensure we enjoyed our visit. When he came over to do the obligatory 'is everything ok with your food?' question he clearly did not want to hear anything negative because he said nothing and told no one. One of the pizza's was barely warm and the spaghetti bolognese sauce had about 1% meat in it. He kept vanishing and ignored two sets of folk waiting at the door, when I drew this to his attention he did not look at me but said 'well, if I wasn't the only one on tonight' and that was that (he was not the only one, there were two others, one of whom brought our food to us). Those customers left (lucky them). The toilets were ok but there was no water coming out of the taps and we had to use the disabled one. The gents WC was completely out of action. The bill was brought to us on the most disgustingly dirty small plate - it looked like an old ash tray. On looking up reviews it's clear we should have done our research as many many others have had similar experiences. Such a shame. Pizza Express used to be a great place to go. We won't be going again.

My partner and I went for lunch at Pizza Express, Gunwharf Quays, we ordered the half and half pizza which was on offer. When it turned up it wasn’t half and half, it was two thirds one topping and barely a third of the other choice, so we reluctantly sent it back. But when the second pizza came out it there was even less of the third. We couldn't wait any longer, we were too hungry after waiting. The man who served our table was great, he agreed both pizzas hadn’t been prepared properly and that the second one was even wirse than the one we sent back. The manager also agreed and reduced our bill for the inconvenience. But that isn’t what we went there for. I wanted to speak to the chef to ask why he did that to our pizza, twice. It was clearly done on purpose.

We both work in hospitality and would never risk our company’s reputation by doing anything like this. Maybe the chef was having a bad day, but to take it out on your company’s customers is the wrong thing to do.

Hitchin branch - End of an era! We have always loved to come to Pizza Express for family celebrations etc but no more. What has happened to this chain? Left waiting 1.5 hours for food whilst we watched many, many Deliveroo and Uber Eats drivers pick up orders and leave. Then they ran out of dough . You are insulting your paying customers giving the impression that deliveries are the priority and we shall not come again. Greed, I feel for your staff who are all trying so hard to keep customers happy while you build your takeaway business. This has gone terribly wrong!

So we booked a table at pizza express Hitchin for 7 pm. At nearly 830 we are only just getting our food ! The poor waitress was doing her best, while delivery’s were flooding out of the door we watched on.
We were told they had actually run out of dough at one point ! after an hour and a half our order started to arrive in dribs and drabs .. but to be honest we were just grateful we got our order. The family were eating whilst I still waited ! Poor poor service for what used to be a good quality Resturant.

I am absolutely disgusted with the companies TNCs. Me and my friend went to Mill Hill express on Thursday 23rd July at 5:45 for their bottomless pizza deal ending at 6pm. The deal is between the restaurants opening period and 6pm. When reading the TNCs, it read that “the 90 minute window occurs when the first pizza order is placed with a team member, providing it is before 6pm. We ordered our first pizza at 5:55, before the period. After eating our first pizza, we expected to order another as the TNCS apply. The manager showed us the TNCs and as we showed her and explained to her she was incorrect, I asked to take a photo of her physical TNCs however she held it tight and walked away

Placed an order for delivery from the Street Lane Branch, Leeds which cost £45 for two of the smallest pizzas i’d ever seen, Mac and Cheese that was tasteless and it was all cold. Honestly. Don’t waste your money

We ordered through deliveroo and got cold pizza. Mine was awful, I ordered thin and crispy, it was cold and soggy. I tried to heat it up in the oven, it just got greasy.
Deliveroo gave 49p refund. I won't order from either deliveroo or pizza hut again.

I knew we were in trouble the moment we sat down in the Bromley Pizza Express. The restaurant was practically empty, yet the staff were acting like they were running a Michelin‑star kitchen during a dinner rush.

I ordered the Niçoise salad — a nearly £17 masterpiece, apparently — which should come with dough sticks. Instead, it arrived alongside my husband’s starter, minus the dough sticks. I tried to get someone’s attention to no avail, so I started eating.

The dough sticks finally appeared when my husband’s main course arrived. No apology, of course. By then, I was halfway through my salad and already questioning why had we come in here.

Then I realised the salad was missing capers and olives — you know, the ingredients that make it a Niçoise rather than “tuna on leaves.” I was almost finished before the waitress reappeared with two giant bowls of them and an apology from the chef. Lovely gesture, just about ten minutes too late to be useful.

For the price, I expected a meal and food not just slammed on the table in a hurry. In better news my husband enjoyed his pizza.

I went to the pizza express in York by the water side. , we had a server called Amie
She was so patient with us , as we are a group of 7 teenagers who are very indecisive . She was joyful and had such an uplifting presence and would come back again just because of her service alone , the food was gorgeous and tasted good quality , the art around the restaurant was so cute and was a nice atmosphere too , the food only took like 15-20 minutes and drinks came straight away

Visited here with my elderly mum & Auntie, no booking on a saturday evening along with a 2 year old.
We were greeted pleasantly by Lauren (staff) who sat us at a lovely table not far from the door. Lauren gave my grandson a colouring activity whilst she promptly made our drinks orders. We had starters, mains a 2 deserts. Our orders were taken, made and delivered very promptly by all staff involved. It was relatively busy but there were regular check ins to see we were ok and if we wanted any drinks, condiments etc. My grandson was gathering a lot of attention and even managed a visit from 2 chefs who he was fascinated by, Lucy & Sinead.
Overall a great experience and would highly recommend. Fab customer service all round.

Just bought two Pizza Express Hawaiian ham and pineapple topping. For the price they are a total ripoff, they are really small, toppings were meagre, an all round disappointment. I bought these in Sainsbury’s and I really should have stuck to their own brand much cheaper and much larger option then put some of my own toppings on. I’m annoyed that I bought two must have been in the sun too long. Anyway never again.
