I bought a pair of NPJ Pit Vipers online through Kawartha Adventure Store as a Christmas present for my brother.

When they arrived, the sunglasses broke as they were being removed from the box, breaking where the arm meets the frame, likely due to the very cold weather it was shipped in.

I reached out to Kawartha who put me in touch with Pit Viper.
Though it took about a month for Kawartha to connect me to them, Pit Viper promptly offered to replace the glasses.

When it turned out that the specific pair was not in stock, they gave me enough store credit to purchase another pair.

I’ll hold onto the credit until they restock the pair I’d like.

Overall, I’m happy with the interactions I’ve had with Pit Viper and Kawartha Adventure Store.

I wear Pitvipers when I snowboard. I caught a front side edge trying to cut between two runs and took a 1.5-2m face first dive onto well groomed ice. I had a bruise around my face like I’d been punched in the face with a pair of pitvipers. Not a scratch on them. Great quality.

These clowns have been giving me the run around for over 4 weeks now. I ordered two pairs and paid in full. Got the confirmation email saying they’d be shipped and I’d get tracking in 1 business day. It’s been weeks now and I’ve contacted them numerous times… they’ve responded saying they’ll enquire with their fulfilment team and then even came back to me and said they’d re-processed the order and I’ll get tracking soon. That’s last week. They’re full of shit and at that point I’m wondering if they’re just a scam company. DO NOT ORDER OR GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR BUSINESS. Cheers.

PARENT ALERT: Pit Viper Sunglasses — Inappropriate Marketing for Kids

I ordered a pair of Pit Viper sunglasses, unaware of the incredibly inappropriate and offensive packaging that would arrive with them. This brand is often marketed to and purchased by kids as young as 7, 8, or 9 — and yet the box features:

🚫 Middle fingers raised with a “You Can Flip Off…” list including “Your Mom,” “Your Teacher,” “The Ump,” “The Government,” and more.
🚫 A baseball player with the number 69, exposed butt crack, and a dog pooping on the field.
🚫 The phrase “UMP SUX” graffitied on the ground.
🚫 Crude, juvenile humor dressed up as edgy branding — clearly meant to appeal to impressionable pre-teens.
🚫 Middle fingers raised multiple times on the box.

This isn’t clever. This isn’t cool. This is irresponsible marketing targeting children with crude adult themes and disrespectful messages. This is NOT OK.

Had I known this was Pit Viper’s branding strategy, I would never have purchased from them. It’s disappointing to see a company deliberately embedding this kind of messaging into a product clearly popular with young audiences.

At a time when we should be promoting mental wellness, respect, and confidence in our kids, this kind of messaging undermines those values. It normalizes disrespect, mockery, and vulgarity — all wrapped in a product that parents often don’t see until it’s already in their child’s hands.

Pit Viper has a huge platform and a chance to influence young people in a positive way — but instead, they’ve chosen mockery and vulgarity.

Parents — be aware of what’s arriving in your home.

The way they encourage you to “flip up” the glasses is use your middle finger in the middle of the gasses and act like you are flipping someone off.

You literally have to start with your middle finger up, flip up the glasses then your middle finger remains up naturally.

I mean listen, it’s not the end of the world & we dont have to buy this brand if we don’t like the
Marketing strategy. Yes, they are trying to be funny, some folks will think it’s fine. Some folks won’t. Eventually my daughter will be exposed to nastiness of this world but at the same time, I’m trying to instill values & treating people right.

This can be misconstrued in so many ways by so many people and could come across as disrespectful and appear as if she is actually giving someone the middle finger when all she’s trying to do is flip up her lense.

Had them for a week before they broke because they fell once on a dirt trail hiking. Reached out to see if warranty could do anything, never got back to me. Wouldn’t recommend if you wanted customer service or durability. Looked cool, loved them for the week I had them. They definitely lack customer support though. Left my warranty claim over 8 weeks ago and they say it usually takes 3-4.

My sons wanted these for Christmas. Less than 6 months later, one broke. I filled out the warranty form on their website. Twice. No contact until I complained on social media a month later. Now they want the original order number from 7 months ago. Don't have it. But I have a bank statement for purchase of 4 pairs and photos of the broken one. No love . Very disappointed.

Shocking service. Tried to contact the company 3 times for a fault and I only got an AI response and no follow up over 3 months.

Ordered on 17th of may, waited about 2 weeks and then i contacted customer support through their website in order to get an update. The rep told me that there was an issue with my address and we corrected it and all should be well. Waited another week, contacted again - the order was lost by the shipper (DHL) , now i asked to have the order expedited, which they supposedly did, waited 3 days - no movement on the order, contacted again - the representative asked me to confirm the address again. This is when i asked for a refund, and when they refunded, they refunded initially only the product cost, without shipping. When i asked how does i come that i pay for shipping on something that wasn't shipped , the representative told me that as gesture of courtesy towards me, she refunded the shipping aswell.
What??? ...

I been following pitviper on Ig for a while before I got any shades. My first pair for a christmas gift from my wife, I hinted to her I wanted some, she secretly hated them but because she loves me she got em for me. Its the 2000s model, military green looking ones, i forget the name, but they are the ballistically rated ones. They are super cool and I would literally wear them daily. They are highly adjustable, and despite me throwing them around, they are good as new.

I then recently also got a couple more pairs, the executive flip ups and another 2000s or Original (i forget) all american colored one. Now I can demand respect and authority with a variety if shades.

Out of curiousity i read a few 1 star reviews to see what the people are b1tching about, and I see its the quality. I happen to have a knockoff pair of vipers i bought for fun from a local flea market, and let me tell you the og vipers and this flimsy knockoff pos are night and day. Yea no sh1t the OG vipers are probably made in china, just like literally any other brand you follow or support, but their quality standards are high and they DO NOT feel like cheapie knockoff shades. Im sure theres tons of knockoffs online due to their popularity, so if you get a cheap knockoff ones outside of the official site, thats your dumb a55 fault.

Also keep an eye out for sales they frequently do REALLY good discounts if you wanna cop a pair.

Worse clases ever you can get exactly same models for Chinese glasses and for a 1/4! when you write then to ask about spare parts they answer in a bad way

Terrible customer service. I had a problem with shipping and they literally said it “wasn’t their problem”. They also regularly delete any negative comments on their pages.

super fun and great fitting glasses. Got a pair of the originals for everyday and a pair of the synthesizer for mountain biking. Both have excellent lens quality and love the hinges that click into place when u open them. I have a being head that love the stems flexibility to fit around my melon without feeling tight. the synthesizer are the riding classes I never knew I need. The coverage is insane and the look kick ass with a half shell and full face!

Love these glasses.... bought about 8 pairs or so. Love them all <3

Order placed on 2nd of January , as of today (24th of January) package still shows to be in the hands of their carrier and hasn't moved for 20 days ... they keep coming up with BS excuses ...
