Great teacher Andy

Had my CBT today with instructor Andy, he was extremely professional, patient, kind & reassuring. I was really nervous and made a few mistakes to start, he ensured to keep me going until I corrected myself & became more confident. I am so incredibly thankful, finally on the road! I’m ecstatic! Thank you Andy!!!!
It was super easy to book, all the information is sent to you straight away, also didn’t have to wait long either, only two weeks from booking to passing. Highly recommend.

Julian was a very good instructor very clear in his instructions very friendly a top man I will definitely be a lot safer on the roads now will recommend your training school to all I know thank you for a great training day and helping me to stay safe

Good CBT company been back for the 2nd time

So, the first thing I need to put here is just how much of a genuinely nice guy Andrew is. So relaxed and it’s very reassuring to feel the way his encouragement and general vibe really does impact the training in a hugely positive way. Thank you.

Both me and my sister have a 10 year gap since we have been on two wheels on the road and had a very smooth breaking back in. This is a true testament to Andrew’s work style.

The company though - very responsive to emails and smooth booking in process and generally good and easy to get it all sorted.

Just a big big big side note - We took the CBT in Cwmbran, it was absolutely hammering down with some serious winds at various points in the day and the “PAD” which is a term the instructors use for the area of ground used to practice on in the training ground was a bit gravelly. HOWEVER, this actually helped me massively. The reason being….I became very comfortable on the bike very quickly and settled in to the fact the bike was very capable even on gravel so when we went on the roads it already gave me confidence to crack on. This is better than being very hesitant of course. Couple this with the fact the adverse weather had 0 impact on Andrew and it makes for a very good outcome!

Anyway, waffling on now but I had a very good experience and look forward to progressing forward with the mods and buying a big bike.

Excellent experience had an amazing instructor Andrew took his time and very nice.

Terrible weather to contend with but the guys at Phoenix motorcycle training were great, very patient and everything was well explained. Julian and Keys were fantastic.

This course was thoroughly enjoyable and the instructor Dylan made us all feel at ease.
I’ve not been on a bike for 30 years and another person on the course had never been on a bike.
He explained everything and demonstrated what to do.
All of the other members of staff there were great too.
Now looking forward to passing my test as I have confidence with Phoenix Cwmbran helping me.

It was really easy and quick to book the training, and the support and guidance on the day of my training was great. Kris was my CBT trainer this week and he was brilliant. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind, and paid particular attention to the things I was struggling with to help me improve and overcome them, and he had a lot of patience. It was a great day overall and I will take what I've learned to keep riding safely. I also attended other training earlier this month with John, and again, the knowledge, support and guidance he shared with me were brilliant. I also had training with another John previously, and I talked with Julian yesterday during my day with Kris. All trainers in the Cwmbran team are excellent.

The instructor (Simon) was amazing

I had a blast learning the ways of the road and finally getting to ride a moterbike my instructor was brilliant at explaining what I was doing wrong

They were very patient with my partner and he would definitely recommend Phoenix motorcycle training.

I did my pre CBT lessons and CBT from then. I had a really good experience. The instructors are really good and welcoming. All the instructors are really good.

The instructor was very helpful, very patient and gave very clear instructions

Despite the fact I had already completed a a CBT certificate and needed only a renewal, I was still nervous. The instructor hands down made the day so much more enjoyable. My understanding is that he is new to the company, and I hope he stays!

Considering that I haven't rode a bike in nearly 40 years and that it was my first time on a motorbike.
I found that Simon was extremely helpful and had lots of patience.
Lots of good tips and extremely helpful.
Very good overall, and when I am due for CBT again, will definitely go back.

I chose BikeTrain Wales carefully, based on a number of positive reviews from women on their website. I was immediately put at ease by Julian. I had lots of lessons, mostly with Julian, but occasionally with Jon or another instructor. The lessons were great - exactly what I needed each time, and progressing at just the right pace. I joined when it was an independent, family-run company. During my time with them, it was taken over by an umbrella group - Phoenix. There were definitely some teething troubles, and it did feel different, with less flexibility and, weirdly, fewer options for lesson dates/ times. Overall though, Phoenix did look after me, and I passed in the end, so I have to give 5 stars! Thank you especially to Jess and Steve at Phoenix, and to Julian at BikeTrain Wales.
