We hired a speedboat private tour for our group of 13 people. It was great, on time. I was a bit uncomfortable to pay 100% in advance but no issues at all. Very professional!

Trip was organized really well. Car picked us up from the hotel on time, boat to the island was smooth and the private longtail boat ride was great. The entire experience was organized really well and is definitely worth it!

We booked a fully private speedboat day tour and could not recommend it highly enough. The whole trip was extremely well organised and professionally run. Great service, great communication, great trip!

We had a great experience today on the private speedboat tour. Everything ran smoothly, on time and the communication with Phi Phi tours was great.
We were fortunate as we booked last minute.
The trip is expensive but in my opinion - worth it. You get a private car transfer, the speedboat for the whole day and a crew on hand to help in any way.
It would have been nice to have a few beers on the boat and a wider range of soft drinks but I am sure we could have brought our own.

We booked a family tour on the 3rd of januari 2023. Including speedboat trip to Ko Phi Phi, long tail trip arround the isle and snorkling. It was a perfect day and wel organized.

I was in phiphi island and booked private speed boat and we cancel it last minute. And I found this private speed boat for 7 hours . It was punctual friendly and super clean. I would 100% book them for next year again and do more with them. They picked up on time and drop us on time. Perfect all what I can say

Great location but a terrible ‘private’ experience!

The locations are beautiful but our overall experience of the private tour has not been very nice. And it definitely feels over priced.

We paid 11,900 Thai Baht for a private long tail boat tour to Phi Phi islands which included visit to Maya Bay, Pi-Leh Bay, Viking Cave and Monkey Island, water, some fruits, vegetarian lunch, pick up and drop off from Hotel to Marina and back to Hotel and shared transfer from Marina to Phi Phi Dom Pier. It didn’t cover entrance fees to the Maya Bay and other locations, any soda/juices and munchies and phi phi island cleaning fees (20 Thai Baht pp)

1. The speed boat transfer in the morning was fine; around 15-20 of us got into the shared speed boat, were given life jackets and bottle of cold water. On our way back in the afternoon, we were asked to hop on an already full / completely occupied shared speed boat. We sat in the sun surrounded by luggage and folks coz there was no space in the inner compartment. There were no safety gear and bottle of cold water given either. The tour company y’all recommendation in the original tour email was to avoid sun as much as possible to avoid sun burns and dehydration but this was a total opposite to that recommendation. We took pictures of how we sat and how luggage was lurking around us.

2. We found the captain immediately holding our name tag, so that’s good.

3. No ice on board the long tail boat so water wasn’t cold.

4. Fruits - only raw pineapple and stale bananas; no munchies or snacks. Or soft drinks or cold water

5. For lunch, our captain didn’t communicate that he was carrying it on the tour all along. When we got back out at the pier to end the boat tour, we asked him if he is going to take us for lunch and then he says ooh you want lunch? Here it is. He handed us fried rice that was dry. We were extremely disappointed that for the amount we paid, the tour folks couldn’t spare few 100s THB for a hot meal at one of the pier restaurants. We being vegetarians that don’t consume eggs, meat and seafood, eating vegetable fried can’t be the only option, and that too dry and cold.

6. The captain, didn’t introduce with his name, didn’t provide us any safety instructions or safety gear and finally didn’t tell us to take the picture of the name of the boat so we can call for him via the rangers when we visit sites like Maya Bay. He handled the boat well but that’s about it. He wouldn’t notify us of each location upon arrival, either we guess or have to explicitly ask him.

7. Further, he didn’t offer us snorkel, swim time and didn’t tell us where we can snorkel/swim. We had even asked him where we can swim/snorkel in Maya Bay and he said he will tell us but he never took us. He dropped us off back at port at 140pm. He told us to make sure we get back to the pier by 2:45 to board our 3 pm speed boat transfer.

Let’s break down the true costs for the the so called ‘Private’ transfer experience:

Cost of transfer from hotel in Tubatak to Krabi Marina and back to Hotel - 2000 Thai Baht
Cost of speed boat transfer from Marina to Phi Phi Pier and back to Krabi Marina for 2 ppl - 400 Thai Baht
Cost of Lunch, fruits and water - 250 Thai Baht
Cost of private Long Tail boat tour for 4 hours - 2300 Thai Baht

Total 4950 Thai Baht

We paid 11,900 Thai Baht for this so called ‘private’ experience; ridiculous! Nothing special, nothing distinct and nothing truly private.

Don't use!! Over-priced, falsely advertised. Extremely disappointed in whole experience. Not a real tour company. They use local people to carry out the tour, with no instruction or organisation. We were left with no one to meet us, had to go round asking local people for help. Longtail boat was old and in poor condition, not a comfortable trip.

Our experience: Public ferry to Phi Phi was late and most chaotic boat journey, reckless captain driving manically. When we got to Phi Phi there wasn't anyone there to meet us. Messaged Phi Phi tours they said they will check did not reply for ages. Had to ask locals, 30 minutes later a man approached us saying he had just received a text message with our names on. He said he knew nothing about our trip but had to go and find a captain and a boat for us. 20 minutes later he found someone, then we boarded a boat, then had to wait for 'lunch' to be made. Cold plain rice arrived 25 minutes later. Eventually set off on tour, only had a couple of hours to see where we wanted to go. Not enough time left and all destinations now very busy due to extremely late arrival. Left at Maya Bay trying to wave over captain, took us about 30-40 minutes of asking staff on the pier at Maya bay to call round the boats and see where he had gone. Eventually came back for us. Again, now left with not enough time to see everywhere. Boarded ferry back to Phuket, public ferry was then late by 40 minutes and moved us 3 times to board different boats. Overall, terrible trip.

Contacted Phi Phi tours to make them aware of our situation. They said it was not their fault, they delivered what they promised.

We paid £290 for this trip. Absolute scam.

We just got back from an amazing tour! My personal highlight was maya bay. Since they re-opened it recently you can now really see how nature recovers. We even saw a baby shark swimming close to the beach <3
