My 2,5 years old dog suffered a nasty bacterial ear infection. We ended up with 4 visits to vet for a treatment and total cost of around 400.
PetInsurance declined the claim based on the fact that my dog had ear mites (not an infection) 2+ years ago as a puppy. We treated mites on the next day when we got her home and it happened to be before we insured the dog. With this logic one should be really lucky for the claim to be payed. Spending loads of time now going through official complaint with financial ombudsman office. Very disappointed, cannot recommend.

Won't pay out
Everything is great until you have to claim, then they do everything they can to block your claim.
We paid insurance for 5 years for our dog, never claimed, until she had kidney failure & died. We claimed for her medical expenses, but were rejected because her illness was not as a result of an accident. Read the small print very carefully....

Price hikes
My insurance went from 380.72 euro in the first year , to 628.58 euro and this year it has gone upto 941.27 euro . Not good . My dog has addisons disease .

A saying exists “ you pay for Insurance…
A saying exists “ you pay for Insurance when you dont need it so that its there when you do “, unfortunately this doesn’t apply not apply to this company. I had a policy for over 6 years and when it came to making a claim I was told it was a “pre existing condition “ and my only ever claim was declined. My advise is similar to others, avoid this company as they will try to weasle out of paying genuine claims rendering your policy worthless!.

Absolutely wish I read the reviews before starting with this scam company. 1 year paying . To be refused for a claim .
Save your monthly monthly it will stand to you better .!!! Also took 5/6 weeks waiting on reply ect !!!! Scammers scammers !!

Prompt claim settlement and easy to use process
Claim form detailed, but easy to navigate. Once all required documents submitted Thursday, claim settled Friday, and settlement for full amount less excess in my account Tuesday. Excellent service.
